Matteo's Salsa Loco - Dine-In and Delivery

Great dive bar atmosphere the night we went. Not in their busy season so it was quiet. Rockfish tacos and the sauce is so yummy! We also loved the beef tacos. They also have the world best margaritas!

I have been coming to Fenwick Island for years and staying basically right across the street from here, but I never tried it, because from the outside, it looks like a sketchy bar where I wouldn’t want to take my children. I was so very wrong! This place was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. The customer service was great. The inside was nice – the initial area does look like a bar, and there is more of a restaurant feel to the second side of the restaurant. It was darker than I preferred, but overall, this was a really wonderful experience and I plan to come back here every year. I am in town.

Holy cow!!!! I can’t say enough about this place!!! My husband and I had the fish tacos ( grouper caught fresh) the homemade queso dip and a margarita!!! Blown away how fresh everything was! We spent way more than this for dinner the first two nights at highly rated local restaurants but I have to say that this topped them all!!!

This is a review I had left on Yelp a couple years ago but I wanted to share this on here as well. We had to call twice to get someone on the line but was able to order carry-out easy enough once that happened. I had looked at their website/menu before calling. This was the first time we ordered from there. The wait wasn't too long and the food was good.

Owner and staff are great people. Great drinks & food. Great atmosphere.

Can't beat what this has to offer! Great margaritas and the staff is great. A true diamond in the rough. We always take a stop to see Matt as he prepares the best margaritas around. Plus he goes out of his way to make people feel at home.

We love coming here. They changed the interior some since we were last here, but the food is just as good. We ordered the #2 combo, chimichangas, and an order of nachos. Everything was delicious and the portions are very large!

Stopped in for the “nations best margaritas” (how could you not??) and they were delicious. I had 2 of the Tres-a-Rita’s, one had a coconut margarita and 2 had a jalapeño margarita. We all enjoyed and will definitely go back again.

This is my families favorite spot to go when we vacation. Parents have even driven down just to get a bite to eat. The margaritas here are amazing. The owner makes his own hot sauces and are awesome. We always make sure to take home a bottle or two!

Visited here twice in one week! Delicious food, friendly and attentive server, and a nice, cozy, casual feel to the dining room. Best tortilla chips I've ever had... they make them fresh. :-)

We go there all the time for the fresh fish and fajitas! if you're a tequila aficionado then you will love this place because they have lots of different brands and the owner, Matt, is happy to educate you on all of them! It's a fun neighborhood restaurant/bar and it's one of my favorites!

It's easy to see why the service took a little longer than most places. The food was great, and my portobello mushroom quesadilla was far better than I anticipated. Give it a shot, and wash it down with a Tresarita.

I see the reviews from 3 and 4 years ago complaining about the staff and I guess that problem has been corrected. Went there for the 1st time in Aug 2014 and the staff was friendly and the service quite good. There was a dog tied up in front of the restaurant and we told our waiter it could use some water and he immediately took it out a bowl. Best Mexican food I've had in Delaware. Great sangria. Great relaxing atmosphere. We got there around 8:45 on a Tuesday night so there weren't many people there so I can't judge their service at peak times.

The owner is very friendly once you get to know him. Frequented the establishment a few times now and very happy each time I leave. The bar tender Jeff knows his stuff and is also very friendly. Everyone I been with loves the food. The fish seems to be always very fresh.

I don't follow reviews. I Iike to make my own judgements. 4th if July Sunday. Place was short on help. We were forewarned of slower service. We were immediately served chips and salsa. I ordered the famous margarita. Does not disappoint-
. Not sour, not too sweet. Ordered fajitas, crab quesadilla, and veg fajitas. I really wouldn't recommend crab quesadilla, but definitely recommend fajitas, Margarita, and have some patience. This is our 4th time here and IMO, Mr. Griffin does not disappoint. Do not be fooled by small locale, this is a great spot for great Margaritas and no frills Mexican food. Highly recommend.

FANTASTIC service, and the food DELICIOUS, absolutely spot on flavor and reasonable price!! They also bagged everything so we could enjoy it on the beach!! THANKS GUYS ,Keep up the AWESOME WORK!!

My uncle recently bought a place on Fenwick Island and they’ve been talking about Matteo’s for a while. We finally tried it with a big group for after dinner drinks and had a great time. Good atmosphere and it wasn’t too crowded to accommodate our large group. Bartender was quick and friendly and even gave us a complimentary extra large shot since we were celebrating a birthday

As a Bartender, I'm very picky with my Margaritas, but Bartender Lindsay made my Fiance and I, the best Margaritas I've had in months. The food has always been good, and quite quick, we will be back.
