Oaxaca Bar & Grill (Margarita garden)

Loved it! We decided to eat here just by chance and we’re so glad we did! Great food, great servers and the restaurant is beautiful. The menu is extensive. The soup was SO good! Shredded chicken, avocado, cheese and sliced tortillas on top. Yum!! We also had a quesadilla. The portions are generous… we didn’t have room for dessert - so we’ll have to return!
Easy street parking. The restaurant is accessible.

This place had some of the most delicious chicken I have ever tried on nachos. The waiters couldn't be more friendly. We had Nachos Supreme and Enchiladas (beef and cheese). It is rare that I find a mexican place that had such exceptional food that I don't need sour cream but...here they are. It was very slow since they don't have a liquor license yet but they will in about a week. You can always get a drink at any little place around town. The food is worth the trade off. Did I mention they have awesome pricing too?

If you love Mexican food and don’t need to have alcohol with it, this is the place for you(they don’t have their liquor license yet, but it’s in the works) GO! It’s amazing! Francisco is awesome!

The food is original, creative and authentically delicious. We were delightfully surprised at the very large quantities, and how hot and fresh everything is here. Everyone here is kind and makes dining here fun. 🤩

Wonderful spot. The portions are great, I got the chilaquiles, which were tasty. The highlight for me was the house Margarita. I know right now they are waiting for the full license, so they are limited in what they can serve, but let me tell you. The margs were FIRE. super refreshing. Service was very friendly, quick, and I can't wait to come back!

Just had dinner at Oaxaca Bar & Grill in Historic New Castle. Excellent food, cheery pleasant staff and atmosphere. Finally an affordable restaurant in the historic district! This will quickly become a regular spot for us! Looking forward to the outdoor seating this summer.

We tried this restaurant today as it's a new Mexican restaurant in town. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was really good and service was fast. They have a bar in the restaurant, but they are still waiting for their liquor license.

Update: We ate here on March 12 2023 and we were told they just got their liquor license.

Just ate at Oaxaca Bar & Grill in Historic New Castle, Delaware. The atmosphere is fantastic, along with the Service, the staff are welcoming and very friendly. Our food came out just as quickly as we ordered it. The music is not overly loud, the presentation of the food is on point and their food is delicious. I highly recommend you stop by and check this place out! I also recommend you order the cheese cake tacos.

So excited to have this restaurant in New Castle!! My lunch was so fresh and yummy, very reasonably priced, and came out very quickly. Also, though I was there for a short time, everyone I interacted with was kind and attentive. Can't wait to go back! :)

I was not particularly interested in going to a small place in New Castle, DE but I was outvoted. I am glad it turned out that way. Whenever possible I try the Chili Relleno when I try a New Mexican Restaurant. This is the first time I had Chili Relleno stubbed with steak slices. There was almost no batter on the peppers, I was a little disappointed at first glance, but in no way disappointed at first bite and all the subsequent bites. Just incredibly good food that does not fit the mold of your standard Mexican restaurant. The side rice was excellent, much spicier then I expected. The beans were very creamy with great flavor. The decor is more colonial New Castle than Mexican, the atmosphere really fits the Colonial theme in New Castle. Like everything else, I appreciated the very friendly service, all the employees were very neatly dressed, well groomed, no outlandish 21st century bizarre piercings, hair color, or tattoos.

Absolutely wonderful food but they do not have a liquor license yet. Not sure when they will. Been there twice for lunch had the same server each time and they are still learning the ropes but otherwise perfect experience!

The appetizers are fantastic. Every main course is excellent. The rare ribeye "Oaxaca steak" is better than most steakhouses. It was a great experience. Glad that opened.

On a gloomy Sunday morning, our quest for a brunch spot for our sizable group of 8 led us to the delightful Oaxaca Bar. The delectable food, served by the sweetest server, coupled with the charming ambiance, made us feel truly welcomed. We're definitely planning to visit again.

Came here to eat and it was great! The food is authentic, the restaurant is spotless, the music/ambiance is native, and the staff is great! Now I frequent this restaurant and it continues to deliver at 5 stars!!!

Great new Mexican restaurant. Had the fajita taco salad. It was amazing all the way to the shell. Enjoyed talking to our server Fernando! Looking forward to returning.

Our first visit to Oaxaca. Great food and atmosphere. It's a wonderful addition to our Historic City of New Castle.

First time we dined here was last week. Had to come back again. Food was DELICIOUS. Staff was friendly. Will become a regular place to eat for us going forward.

Highly recommended the carnitas and mixed fajitas. The meat was perfect cooked.
