Sugar Thai Food

While driving home from a weekend trip to Seattle, we decided to stop in for some Thai food. Normally, I wouldn't drive in so far off the highway for food, but what a great surprise! Sugar is an adorable little restaurant deep in the heart of Ellensburg. The atmosphere was great with lighting, music, and decor. But let me tell you, the food and service were the stars.My wife ordered the Pad Thai with tofu, and I did the Green Curry with chicken. Both were amazing! The plating/presentation was great & the portions were generous without being overwhelmingly huge. We both had enough & were able to bring some home. Also, be sure to try the coconut milk Thai tea; you won't be let down.

Everything that we tried was so good. Never have a have food and had enough space for dessert. Everyone there was so nice. Definitely coming back again. Every fast and well served. 100% recommend 💕

I love it here! The remodel they just did makes the place look incredible, they have beautiful decor and a fish tank! The aesthetic of the restaurant is spot on and is very clean. They walked around just to make sure everything was clean during our meal. The staff are all so kind and just the right amount of attentive for a beautiful lunch or dinner out. They are very conscious about vegan/vegetarians and asked if we wanted our meals made vegan when we asked for tofu in our entrees. Went there for lunch today, and asked for a side of peanut sauce, and got basically a small soup bowl of peanut sauce. I’ve been here about 3 times since the remodel and each time I’ve been here I’ve had a wonderful experience. They have GREAT portion sizes - I usually take home about 2/3 of my meal to have for later, and it reheats amazingly in the oven or microwave, still tasting just as yummy as when I had it in the restaurant. Worth your time to stop by, whether passing through or a local resident!

Heading back from to the coast today from Idaho and my husband and I decided to stop for dinner. We both thought it was the best Thai food ever. He had the duck curry and I had the seafood eggplant. Both were delicious with the right amount of spice and flavor. The seafood was done to perfection!..Clean and comfortable setting and the the service was friendly and prompt. We will definitely be back!

First time eating here, the food was great, it exceeded our expectations. We had pad Thai noodles with yellow curry, and a sampler plate.

Had a great experience here around 2pm on a Tuesday. I was with 3 of my kids and we were just killing some time. I only ordered one entree - tofu Pad Thai which was delicious - but they brought out 4 cups of soup and free smoothie samples. Everything was so good and I felt so welcome. Definitely will come here again!

Lily is such a great server! She took amazing care of us on our friends birthday! Even going as far as to explain every dish and help make changes to the food to accommodate us! Plus who doesn’t love birthday ice cream!!!! LILY DESERVES A RAISE! She was so sweet and attentive! :) :)

This is probably a little biased since I moved here recently and I hadn't found anything decent for Thai food or Asian period tell I found this place. The staff was friendly, quick and accommodating. The establishment was nice and clean but above all the food was of utmost quality, I will be going back often.

This place has amazing food and service and almost everything can be made info a tofu dish, we tried the appetizer and eggplant tofu and sweet and sour tofu.

It was a very pleasant experience! Really loved the food and service!
We got ourselves a Pad ki Mao with Pork and Cashew Chicken! Though the cost was more than what one expects when coming from Seattle, the quantity did suffice well! Great staff!

Love the updated Sugar Thai. Having had traditional Thai food in the land itself, these dishes come pretty damn close. I recommend the Panang Curry! The servers are very friendly, too. I'm so happy for their success!

Top-notch Thai...my Phad Woon Sen was delicious and the staff here are very friendly.

Really one of the best places to sit down and eat in Ellensburg. The portions are great for the price. The staff are super kind and impressionable. I truly love going here!

One of my favorite Thai restaurants it was phenomenal and the service was amazing! Also a beautiful restaurant very clean! We had the pad kee mao and the golden noodles they were both some of the best Thai food dishes I've had in a long time and I have Thai at least once a week

Got into town after a long drive with a car full of hungry people. Found Sugar Thai easily on the map and with the map. Getting seated took longer that it should have but they only had two servers. Time to get order was perfect. Food temperature, spice, and taste was as ordered and awesome. I really feel sorry however that the girls had to wear the Thai costumes. It only helped to give the place a small town feel. Overall we were very pleased.

We love Sugar Thai! It’s a great space and the staff is friendly and the food amazing!!! I’ve been to Thailand 2x and it’s very authentic! Try it!

Ordered the Green Curry with Shrimp and it was delicious. Everything tasted very fresh and was seasoned and flavored just right. Service was good and friendly. Recommended

Very friendly!!! Quickly seated. Brought us egg drop soup and cold lemon water as soon as we sat. Such good food. I ordered pineapple fried rice and a Taro boba tea😋My husband got cashew chicken and peanut sauce 😋.

It was okay. I have had sooooooo much better @ other places, plus the place was infested with flies. Had to keep shooing the flies off my food.
The BEST place for Thai Cuisine is called Benjarong Thai Restaurant in Monroe, WA
IT'S THE BEST

Fabulous Thai food. It's the best food I have had in Ellensburg.
