Main Street House

This experience HIGHLY exceeded my expectations. Although we were only there for one night, the Main Street House felt like a home away from home. The house itself was beautifully decorated, our room was charming and clean with a comfortable bed, and the front porch and back patio had many places to sit in case you just wanted to hang out outside. Not to mention, it is only steps away from downtown Brenham, so driving isn’t necessary. Before arriving, Keith called us to make sure that we had all of the information we needed. He was so kind, friendly, and inviting. In the morning, he even made omelets for all of the guests staying in the house (I am not exaggerating — it is the best omelet I have ever eaten, hands down). I truly did not want to leave! I highly recommend staying in the Main Street House during your next Brenham getaway.
Our room was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable and everything was super clean. The house had a beautiful living room that even included a piano and a guitar to play!

My husband and I stayed at MSH for one night (in the Victoria room) and we cannot recommend it enough. Keith was so welcoming and kind and his omelets are so good! The house is beautiful and filled with colorful and unique art while maintaining its 1920’s charm. The location is perfect to walk to the restaurants and bars in DT Brenham and we will certainly being staying again!

I highly recommend Main Street House. We wanted a quick getaway and selected MSH because of its visual appeal -- more up-to-date than many B'n'Bs and with some interesting-looking art. The house is airy and spacious, and the room had everything we needed without being in any way cluttered. It was blissfully quiet overnight -- Main Street does not have a lot of traffic because the Austin-Houston highway was routed away from the historic town center. The hosts lay on a nice array of on-demand drinks and excellent "snackage." The breakfast is cooked to your specifications in front of your very eyes and is excellent. We fortuitously turned up the night before Brenham's MaiFest -- the historic town parade -- lots of excited kids, very proud of their costume and some very proud (and patient) parents -- which was delightful. Instead of having to stand in the street to watch it, we viewed it while enjoying a lovely visit with Keith sitting on the porch under a gentle breeze from the fan and an extra cup of coffee. Perfect! We will definitely be back.

I mustn't forget to mention the bathrobes -- gorgeously comfortable and a great coverup if you want to get an early morning drink from the kitchen!

After a hectic week, our one night at Main Street House was exactly the reset we needed. Everything was perfect. Evening stroll downtown for dinner, followed by drinks and live music. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed right at our fingertips. We enjoyed coffee on the porch and great breakfast and conversation with our host Keith. We can’t wait to come back for more than one night! It was a wonderful way to spend our 23rd anniversary. 10/10 from the Walls.

We had the whole house for my wedding in Brenham and it was perfect! The house is bright and warm with so many windows. All the rooms are large and comfortable. Its a great way to start your wedding weekend when you hear your friends walk in to their rooms and say "No way! This is awesome!!" It truly was our home for the weekend and we will be back. The heart of the house is Suzy and she took great care of us. She checked in to make sure we were ok, brought an amazing breakfast and suggested great places to eat dinner. If you want a perfect weekend in Brenham, stay here!

We just spend a wonderful overnight stay at the Main St. House. The house has a wonderful and balanced combination of the charm of the old with modern furniture and interesting art work through out the house!
Our room was first of all very clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed and the softest bed sheets that we loved!
The owners were really friendly and Keith makes delicious omelettes!
And, location, location, location! Walking distance to all the restaurants and stores in downtown Brenham!
We loved the Main St. house and will be back! Thank you!

A wonderful getaway

We decided last minute to take a trip out of Houston. We found Main Street Inn at the last minute. The owners Suzi and Keith were so accommodating and helped make our stay perfect. Mr. Keith was there to meet us and showed us around the inn. The rooms were airy and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with lots of food to eat throughout the day. It was also walking distance from town and we were able to visit shops and eateries in the area. Mr. Keith cooked breakfast the next morning and it was fantastic. We would recommend to anyone wanting to getaway and have a stay in a warm, friendly environment to stay here. We will definitely be back.

My friend and I decided we needed a weekend away from work and hubby's so as I lived in Brenham before, we headed that direction. I was familiar with many of the B&B's in the area but had not been to The Main Street House. I was very happily surprised at the well blended feel of a modern artsy vibe and the still cozy and relaxed ambiance of a more traditional B&B. We stayed in room 5 which was perfect for us as we each had our own private bath space and sink area on opposite ends of the room for washing up and makeup application. The room was very large and the king size bed was heaven and I am very particular about beds. The linens were high end, the mattress was perfect. We never felt crowded or that we might trip over one another. Keith, our host and owner of the house, made the most wonderful breakfasts to our specifications and we were delighted to find french press coffee waiting for us when we came downstairs. While he prepared our delicious omelettes, we took our coffee out on the front porch and delighted ourselves in the relaxing quiet and comfort of a large front porch surrounded by birdsong and light breezes. The refrigerator/freezer and kitchen were stocked with delicious eats for us to graze at will..which we did. There were single use coffee and tea pods available so we could have a cuppa any time of day. We even had our own cheese tray! My friend had her first taste of Bluebell ice cream from The Main Street House's freezer! (She's a Yankee, bless her.) Keith was an excellent source of local knowledge regarding eateries and shopping or must do's in the area. If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay with great rooms, great eats and great hospitality...of course you are..call Keith and make your reservation!!!

Best bed and breakfast ever! It was so comfortable, beautiful, and relaxing! From the gourmet personal cheese tray waiting for us on arrival to the sweet valentine card and chocolate fudges-it was so nice. In the morning Keith made us an omelette and breakfast sandwich, fruit smoothies, and French press coffee!

Highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast. This place is beautiful inside and out. Very cute and comfortable vibes. Mr Keith was very inviting and kind to us. The food is fabulous. The treats, coffee, and drinks are awesome. This place is a must for anyone visiting the town. Will be back soon.

I had the most pleasant and amazing experience there! The owners are some of the nicest people I have ever met. The omelets were super good! I couldn't ask for better service. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to experience a very nice bed and breakfast. Everything was super clean and super nice. The piano plays very well and sounds wonderful in the room that it is in. Perfect for any musician! Thanks for being wonderful!
