Incredible Christmas Eve dinner here for our first visit to Homewood. Generous quantities, perfect cook, unique flavors. Menu rotates constantly so it’s truly farm to table. Restaurant feels so homey and connected with a fully exposed kitchen and a ton of fun seating options.

Thoroughly enjoyed Matt McAlister’s newest restaurant. I still put FT33 slightly above this, and Filament shouldn’t even be mentioned with these 2.
New location is great, easy parking with valet. Ambiance was like a neighborhood restaurant, upscale casual, our party happened to be seated at the table right by the open kitchen, similar to the Chef’s table at FT33.
Service was excellent. We basically had our server order everything for us. We had a vegetarian in our party and our server was on point and ordered just the right amount. The timing of the dishes was spot on.
Cocktails were delicious and unique, but not quite up to par with FT33. I prefer more spirit forward drinks, but none of the ones we ordered off the menu were that style.
Food was delicious, tapas style. The gnocchi was probably the stand out dish for me. Along with the rolls and the chicken drippings with cheese dip.
Would likely come back as the menu is seasonal and I would like to see what else they come up with.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant out, and finally splurged on an amazing dining experience.
Very attentive waitstaff, expert sommelier, and talented mixologists!
All of the food with the exception of the fish, is locally sourced and full of flavor. This menu is super unique, and created with care. If you want comfort food with a twist, then this is the dining experience for you!
My number 1 suggestion: I normally don't eat meat, but knew I wanted to try the Duck Breast, which was incredible.

Tiny place, great service. A little loud, but good vibes and atmosphere. My favorite Caesar although its relatively the highest price item. The place isnt cheap, but not ridiculous. My guest said the Gnocchi was the best ever. My unimaginative choice, the chicken, was delicious hot and juicy. Loved the peas and lettuce accompanied. I did not taste the tartar, but looked great. Large wine list, no popular wines, i guess by design. Ill definitely put this in the rotation.

Homewood is the best restaurant in Dallas.
The service, quality and attention to detail are unmatched in the DFW area.
The menu may change weekly but I can safely say there is never a bad choice. This is also exciting because going one week and then a few weeks later might present completely different options.
If you're looking for where to eat in Dallas, look no further, this is it.

Didn't have any expectations going in and ended up blown away. I was mad at myself for eating beignets earlier and not leaving enough room for dinner. Food was amazing, service was excellent. On the pricey side but to me totally worth it. I don't trek out from the burbs often because I detest city driving/parking but I will be making exceptions for meals here.

Absolutely incredible seasonal food. The Citrus and Alpine Cheese Salad is so fresh. The dishes are creative, savory, and beautiful. The service is friendly and fast. Ambiance is unique with deep green accents and a sunken bar that sits lower than most... believe the hype.

The service and food were top notch! The vibe and feel of the restaurant is awesome and the people were great. Super creative dishes and beautiful execution. Props to the chef and team at Homewood!

WOW. Talk about an impressive meal. The soft shell crab? Amazing. The Caesar salad? Oh my gosh, so good. The halibut? Incredible! And the desserts were so enticing, I had to try 3. Highly highly recommend.

Incredible from start to finish. Friendly staff and the best food I’ve had in Dallas. They buy locally, cook seasonally, make everything from scratch and preserve/can/ferment. This is how we should approach food. Bravo! Every bite was to die for.

Service and food here were phenomenal. We started with some cocktails, I had the cherry one with gin and it was different but SO good. Then we had the carpaccio, the ingredients on top were so flavorful and amazing. I got the scallops and my husband got the chicken and both were sooo good. Then we ended the night with rice pudding and it was the perfect way to end the meal. If you come here, make sure to get an appetizer, meal and dessert!! Highly recommend.

Homewood is one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas. I’ve been three times now and each time exceeds expectations. This was a first time for brunch, and it didn’t feel like the same level of execution. We ordered two cocktails and two plates. I would still highly recommend this restaurant, and I will be back for brunch for another shot. Notes below on brunch only:
To kill a mockingbird- smooth, subtlety flavored tequila pour
Rye’s the lightning- whisky cocktail, between the rye, fresno pepper and ginger the drink was heavily spiced and tasted unbalanced
Maggie’s biscuits- I wish these were served warm, i think it would make a huge difference. While tasty, they were dense and cool.
Pickle brined fried chicken sandwich- the fries were exceptionally good. Think McDonald’s nostalgia but better. Perfectly seasoned. The fried chicken sandwich itself was delicious, but could use more spicy ranch or a wetter slaw because the overall bite leaned to the drier side.

Seasonal Deliciousness - Cozy Atmosphere - Can Easily Dine Here Weekly - Late Dinner Reservations Preferred - Anytime Drop In for Drinks and Grazing!
Stellar Service with All Experienced Servers - Have encountered just okay service with new server, including having to consistently ask her to wait in clearing unfinished dishes!
Amazing Fall 2019 Menu - Favorites includes: “Parker Rolls with Chicken Drippings”; “Rustic Semolina Torchio”; “Mt. Lassen Trout”; and, “Coconut Cake”!

Excellent service and food in a chic yet homey atmosphere. Pasta is house-made so you’re gonna wanna get that. Lastly, the menu changes weekly so you’re gonna wanna come back ASAP.

Chef Matt McCallister closed FT33 to open Homewood—and the contrast between those two names sums up the difference between the two. FT33 was more conceptual while Homewood is more accessible, somewhere you might actually visit on a weeknight (once the crowds clear out, that is). There are cinderblock planters just outside the window. They're mostly bare now, as it just opened, but I look forward to seeing what they can grow. You should start with the Tollhouse rolls, and you might be lucky enough to get it served with drippings from roast chickens. For a salad, I got a cold beet dish that was so good even an avowed beetophobe like David might go back for more. For pastas, the torchio bolognese was a meaty marvel. And for dessert, the banana semifreddo was probably the most conceptual dish we had. It had a smear of marshmallow cream and was served sandwiched between layers of chocolate. If you go, it's possible that none of these wonderful dishes will still be on the menu. And that's a blessing in disguise.

Very well done—co-founded by a local attorney, the menu is always different! Seasonal produce and a sophisticated chef equals quality food for a fair price. I hope this place stays for a while. That corner is tough to keep!

Great food in all courses, great cocktails and an incredibly knowledgable and helpful staff behind the bar (where I dined)!
On each of the courses the bar staff was incredible at only only suggesting items but listening to my interests, how hungry I was and making appropriate suggestions. My overall meal turned out to be a home run!
My cocktail to start was killer. It was mixed perfectly, had a luscious foam to it and had deep, incredible flavor. Tonfollow, my octopus starter was perfectly cooked. The red bean base and radish topping were a good mix to give it depth and lightness (respectively) and created a really flavorful overall plate.
I couldn't pass up the famous buns and fully appreciated how good they were. Fortunately my bar mates were open to trying them as I didn't need all 5.
I finished with a full order of the confit duck tagliardi pasta. Oh my word was this good! While I stopped short of my temptation to lick the bowl clean, I was appreciative that there was a spoon as gladly scooped that last bit of incredible white wine sauce. The pasta was so perfectly made with the right amount of silkiness and weight. Mix that with the sauce, mushrooms, duck, and cracklings and it could have eaten it all night long.
Due to the mostly rotational menu, I would be really excited to come here again. Even based on tonight's menu there were 1-3 things in each course that I still really want to try! Add rotational items to that and I imagine even more to come!

The focus on the ingredients is very evident - each bite was balanced and the components of each dish sang. Definitely an experience, highly recommended.

Small restaurant with a beautiful interior. Food was pricey but exceptional. Staff was very friendly, in particular the sommelier was very funny and made excellent recommendations. Menu highlights were the Parker rolls (trust me, get these), pastas, and the grilled steelhead trout. A great place for a special occasion or over-the-top date night.
