The Village Church

Great church great message! Visited this church from Orlando Florida and felt super blessed by the service. You guys are super lucky to be able to attend a gospel preaching church on a weekly basis. They also have programs for families and communities as well. Also, they have an outreach program to reach the unreach people all over the world! One of the places where the gospel is seriously preached, lived, and practiced!

Matt gets to the heart of the word and application to our own hearts today. Big on discipling the broken and sending out disciples. Great church and leadership. Kudos!

Are use the churches parking lot to pick up my customers vehicle. I’m glad I didn’t get kicked out.
Many other times I picked up my customers vehicles at different churches and pastors or security would come up flip out on me for using the parking lot. It really shows me what the church is all about.

Felt right at home when I walked in the door. I have seen some negative remarks about how hard Chandler drills home certain points that are gospel supported. The true gospel will offend. That is the beauty of it all. You are either with him or without him. There is no neutrality. Thank God I have come back home to The Village after 12 years of wondering. No word of faith or prosperity gospel being preached here. Just the raw truth of the gospel and a loving, accepting group of Christian men and woman that really do care.

Went to Sunday service on our way back to Oklahoma last weekend. Loved the message and the Church. We will definitely visit again when we are back in Texas. Wonderful experience!

Most everyone I meet at The Village Church truly wants so much to put Jesus first in their lives and walk according to God’s Word. Matt is THE BEST pastor I’ve ever been under. Smart, funny, excellent expository teacher, but so very humble and tries to step down from the spotlight while giving praise to God and accolades to others. I’ve grown spiritually so much here! The staff I’ve found to be loving servants who are genuine and loving. Worship music is wonderful and we are so blessed to have such talented and humble worship leaders. Can’t say enough about this wonderful church!

How do you review a church? My people here are all sinners, seeking grace. We worship, we pray, and baptize and take communion each week. Some mornings you will laugh, some cry, but every Sunday we seek out the word of God and determine how we can serve our world better... Jesus loves you. -JR

Even when the message is unrelated to my specific situations (such as campus transition for someone not a member at TVC) the pastors are still able to present the message in a way that can be applied through life. I will say that the times I have tried to get involved have been discouraging. There is little guidance or outreach to those looking to connect.

Matt Chandler and the Village Church is an amazing place, God's love and compassion and the serving of others he intructs us to do is easy to see in members here in this church. I highly recommend this church if you are visiting from out of town or looking for a local church home.

I’ve been coming to The Village for 20+ years (back when we were all in the little building down the street!) and I can’t imagine a better place to hear the Word through Matt Chandler’s beautiful and relatable delivery, for people of all ages. I related as a 16yr old, and still now as a 37yr old with a family!

I came when I was a teenager, on my own, after leaving a church environment that just didn’t make me feel a connection. At all. And now I can’t get through a service without tearing up and a closer, more profound connection to Christ.

“Come as you are” is truly represented here. Wear what you want (Seriously), you could be conservative or covered in tattoos and have pink hair….and you will feel welcomed either way. Matt does a phenomenal job of helping you feel loved and welcomed regardless of where you’re at in life, or where you’re at in your faith. He encourages diversity and actually talks about it! And has never made me feel “less than” for being a sinner. My life is better and more full thanks to the sermons that Matt Chandler gives. Wish I could give more stars! We moved from NY and have been attending for almost 2 years 🤍

This church offered the best experience of the local mega churches. The pastor was down to earth, speaking about the problem with people playing church and not really meaning it down under. He spoke about his own struggles, and how people need Jesus and are mostly faking being happy. Good sermon! People actually seemed kind and courteous. I would recommend this place for the weekend service.

Last time I moved took me many years to find a church. I was so fortunate to find this one within 2 weeks!

I loved the service and the atmosphere

The Village Church is a place that honors Jesus Christ and wants to glorify God. Every service the gospel is preached and the message is always about Jesus. The sermons are from the Bible usually. Pastor Matt Chandler is anointed not only because of his speaking abilities but because of the help that the Holy Spirit gives to him and to the church. They focus on small home groups. The church feels like a mega church on Sundays but my home group provides me community and accountability that I can live and grow with.

My new home! I truly have found a wonderful church that really studies the word with ita congregation and believes God's word.
This pastor will not water down God's message for anyone no matter who it is and that's what we all need, the truth, the whole, truth, and nothing but the truth, so help us God!
My God continue yi bless this staff and its members to be the change God calls us to be so that all can see that we believe through how we live our lives allowing God to change us to be more like him daily so yhay world see more Jesus in us than they see the world.

We are so blessed to have found The Village Church! The theology and preaching are excellent and we love the direction pastor Matt is taking the church. If you want to know more about the Lord and real truth, this is a wonderful place to be!

There is no such perfect church. But this is close to it! Matt Chandler is the real, raw, authentic man of God. His passion for preaching the true gospel is amazing! I drive over 40 min every sunday to make it here. It feels like home…
