Never rented out a storage space and honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. When I passed by extra storage to check out their spaces available, Melody was so welcoming, helped answer all my questions and made the process so easy. Since then every time I have gone the whole team has been fantastic in helping out - whether its been downsizing to a smaller unit, figuring out how to donate / throw away items, or the unit lock getting jammed. Melody and the team consistently went above and beyond!!

I cannot say enough good things about this location! Very clean, exceptional staff who take every step to ensure quality customer service and experience. The store manager, Tiffany Glasgow sets an amazing example, and her staff shares her dedication to customer satisfaction! Our business is more than happy to do business with this location and can attest to the pleasure it is to work with this staff!

I’ve had a storage unit here for 7 years. The service has always been really great, easy, and convenient. The improvements they have made over the past few years to enhance security are most welcome. I recently transferred to a larger unit as I prepare to move out of my house, and Mike and Tiffanne made the process super smooth - advising me on the best size unit/rate and even helping me find something near my current unit to make the move even easier. I’ve also found that it’s very easy for movers to load things in and out of here - even in the middle of the city. I’m so grateful that this part of my move was so simple.

My experience with Mike and the staff was welcoming and outstanding. I was greeted at the door with a warm welcome and after was a smooth in and out process. All my paperwork was completed quickly and I received my storage unit with my lock, then was able to move my items to the unit with in no time. The facility was also very clean which was a PLUS for me. I would definitely recommend this storage space to others.

On January 25, 2024, at Extra Space, I had a conversation with Joseph, a customer care agent. I had only been renting my storage space for three or four months, so I told him how unhappy I was with the rent rise. I also requested that he please set up a meeting with me, and he guaranteed me that someone from the CEO office or the district manager would do so.

One of the executive team members, Tiffany, reached out to me. I found Tiffany to be kind, sincere, and genuinely interested in helping me. I mention this because, in contrast to the cite manager, who gave me no encouragement or hope, she listened to what I had to say and promised to work to find a solution. I admitted to Tiffany that I lacked the funds for the raise. I was not happy with the increase and worried.

Tiffany calmed me down and promised to document my account to show that she was investigating the situation and that she would speak with her supervisors so that it wouldn't be late. I would describe this as top-notch management abilities because it addressed the issue, helped, and prevented a rent rise that would have forced me to transfer my belongings. Tiffany's willingness to assist is greatly appreciated.

Hands down best storage, service, and team in DC! Melody and Tiffanne have always taken the best care of me throughout the years. Their knowledge, patience, and excellent customer service will keep me a customer for years to come.

Great experience getting on boarded here! My Uncle & I popped in to see the layout of the available units; we were warmly greeted by Tiffanee who then showed us around the facility. She was extremely helpful and friendly! The layout is easy to get around, there’s covered car access right by the elevators and an uncovered loading dock area for larger moving trucks. They have dolly’s for transporting your items from the vehicle to your unit and they also have packaging supplies in the office! It’s not a 24/7 accessible center, however, you can access your unit daily with a keypad from 6am-10pm.

I had such a great experience here, Tiffanne was very helpful with answering all my questions and getting me the best deal on my storage unit! 10/10 would recommend coming here!!

Tiffany provided extra care and expert service to make sure I had everything I needed. She went out of her way and consulted a co-worker to assist me. I am very appreciative of her help! She was courteous and kind.

I have a good experience with extra space storage. The y have very good customers service. Melody , Tiffany and Mike are very nice people to be able to talk too! I would recommend my friends to use the their storage space.

Our experience with Extra Space Storage on U Street could not have been better. The Assistant Manager personally assisted us with the load in process and our storage locker was clean, ready when we arrived, and exactly as described. We will be recommending this location to all of our friends in the near future!

Fantastic and enjoyable experience with Lakita! She asked all the right questions including what types of things we were storing, and whether we needed climate control, and then showed us a full range of options. We toured the facility, we were provided all the prices and processes up front, and were able to make an informed decision before we left. We even received a follow-up call to let us know once the unit was cleaned and ready to move in. Thank you for helping us and doing it with professionalism, respect and care!

Amazing service! We went in to look for moving supplies. The ladies there were very nice and gave lots of good tips. Would highly recommend.

I was having a bad day and nothing was going right but had won a locker at auction and needed to wrap up the sale. Tiffane the manager was an absolute god send and ROCK STAR!! Her calm and professional demeanor coupled with her caring attitude made my day 100 percent better! Very happy customer here!

I kept a locker here for 4 years. I got it during covid while relocating to FL and they made the process super easy at a shockingly competitive price despite the perfect location. The staff was extremely helpful moving things into the unit but I thought it was especially notable that even when I moved out at the end of the contract, Melody and Tiffanne were extremely responsive and helpful and did all they could to make the process easier. I would highly recommend ES Storage and this location in particular.

Great physical security, great facility, and fantastic customer service. We have been in a unit since 2014. The location is perfect if you are in the U Street/Cordoza, Shaw, Adams Morgan, Dupont, or Logan Circle villages in DC. The spaces are easily accessible and carts are almost always available immediately. Same with elevators. Happy to be a customer.

Really loved working with the team here. I recently reserved a unit online a few days in advance, but for some reason the site wouldn’t let me pay right away no matter what card I tried. When I called the office later, Tiffany bent over backward to get me moved in on time to the unit I wanted — while still honoring the rate I’d been quoted originally, even though it had since changed. She even threw in a free lock to make up for the hassle. I moved in Saturday and the unit was clean, spacious, a good temp, and overall made me feel great about storing here. Can’t recommend enough!
