The entire “mall” was amazing. There were so many great views and museums to visit. Like any tourist location, I would recommend a weekday… but that also has its drawbacks. There are some school tours of some museums during school time.

A spontaneous two-day trip to the National Mall in D.C. was a mesmerizing experience. The Washington Monument's observation deck offered breathtaking views of iconic landmarks. Walking the Mall, surrounded by history and war memorials, was both reflective and inspiring. The accessibility and rich heritage make it a perfect short getaway, seamlessly connecting visitors to America's past and present.

One of the gem 💎 of DC. This has history, nature, tranquility and peace all in one area. Walk as much as you want, sit as long as you want and play until dark on the sprawling grass. You can watch the beautiful sunset as well when the weather is good. Fall and Spring are the best time to enjoy nature here

Lovely, large, central tourist and historical area of Washington DC.
Huge open space surrounded by museums and monuments.
You can not explore it all in 1 day - you need at least 3.
The grassy areas are good for spikeball (we saw several groups playing), picnics, or just viewing the architecture.

Highly recommend buying the tour bus pass because it is a lot of walking expected, so if it is your first time, it is totally worth it and you can hop on and off as many times to discover the multiple stops along the way.

A great place for early spring or late fall to avoid massive crowds. Too many museums to name and great food options abound. History, current events. Architecture. Great sights all await on this visit.

So many beautiful things to see and do. All the Smithsonian museums are there and of course the monuments and buildings. You need time and energy to see it all. But it's totally worth it.

Museums here are awesome, best of all it's free. We went to the National Museum of Natural History, looking at giant fossils and animal displays, also the smallest and most expensive diamonds.

There are a lot of food trucks around too. Their cheese steak are superb, beef is tender and flavorful.

This is part of the Honor Flight I was honored to attend as the Guardian for my Father. Korean War Vet.

Words can not express the emotion or the overall experience this day was. To watch so many be there to support all the Vets that day was unbelievable. I will never forget this.

Beautiful place to see, to walk, have a talk with friends, and enjoy the surrounding.
After all, you see the Lincoln memmorial as a reward, and it is beautiful.
Part of history, and all for free.

Amazing place to hang out! So nice to have such a large grassy area in the middle of the city. Also, many of the touristy attractions such as the Smithsonian and Washington Monument surround it if you are looking for a good centralized location to walk around in dc.

The monument has tickets opening at 10am am sold out at 10:01am. So best to have the fastest fingers around

The view is really good from the monument and during fall, actually take a top view to find the best fall trees 😂

The reflection pool and Capitol is well seen towards the evening

Absolutely great! My son and I spent a lot of time walking the length of the National Mall. My only complaint? I wish there was a Metro station closer to the Lincoln Memorial. It's a bit of a walk from the Foggy Bottom or Smithsonian stations.

A beautiful day to take a walk along the National Mall near the National Gallery of Art and the National Museum of the American Indian between the Washington Monument and the west side of the Capitol and the Ulysses S. Grant Memorial. Haven’t been in DC or on the Mall since September 2005

The views of monuments, the museums surrounding, and the events and displays on the Mall are always worth a visit. I male it a point to walk through after work at least twice a week and often walk around it once on the weekends visiting a site or museum each time.

Great place to learn about our history. We enjoyed the sights and even went for a run around town. Parking is tough. Suggest using a scooter or bike to get around.

I actually visited the Air and Space Museum. I was very entertained and saw kids very happy to learn and explore. They have new exhibits coming soon. I went early around noon, which was great, and as I was leaving, the line was very long outside the building.

National mall is my favorite place to go with my family and small kids. There is so much to do, form museums to picnic, to carousel, ice cream truck. So many famous landmarks US Capitol building, National Monument, 20 min walk to White House, 30 min walk to Capital One arena and Chinatown, 20 min walk to Union Station.

Such a fun day exploring Washington DC!
Today made me proud to be an American. If you get a chance, walk through all the monuments and read the quotes and history. Amazing history!! I walked through everywhere and didn't have to wait or pay. You can navigate on your own if you're determined and have google maps on your phone.

Great place to walk around and learn US history. There is plenty of space to not feel crowded and there are plenty of bikes and scooters should you get tired of walking
