Friendly place...great crowd..no frills or hassels...give it a try you won't be disappointed

The place is a fun experience and every time I have been there, it feels as if no one is left out from the atmosphere and it is nice. The crowds that come in are friendly and I haven't ever experienced any trouble brewing there. There's a wide selection from the jukebox, a pool table, slot machines, a wide variety of beverages, multiple televisions, the men's restroom has been clean every time I have been there, a good amount of nearby parking, and smoking outside with an good view. The bartenders are great as well and keep the energy flowing.

It is A Nice Bar to Hang Out At.THE PEOPLE THERE SEEM TO BE OK. THEY ARE FRIENDLY AND NICE THE BARMAIDS ARE NICE AND CUTE.THE ONES I MET MONDAY NIGHT WERE VERY NICE ITS A VERY GOOD BAR TO GO TO IF YOUR IN THE ALTON AREA.WILL BE GOIN BACK.........JUST SAYIN....

Absolutely love melvey's place. Were all like family here. Our bar reminds me of an episode of cheers. Were all so close and we take care of one another no questions asked.
