N & T Family Restaurant

Went here today on behalf of my community program sponsored by the Lake County Health Department. I had the chicken lo mein and it was excellent! Very flavorable! I also recommend their salmon tacos and salad. I love coming here and I highly enjoy the service of staff and positive attitude of an atmosphere feel very welcomed!

This is a wonderful family owned restaurant that my wife and I go to anytime we are in the Zion, Illinois area. They have many menu items that make it easy to find something everyone can enjoy. First class all the way.

Been here twice. Food was perfect. The best part is I felt local hometown diner. Like I belong. Staff are awesome.

N & T's restaurant located in the old Rooks building, is a pleasant melding of Thai Asian and American cuisine. The menu is not an overly extensive one, but everything on it is done well. they have a buffet on the first Thursday evening of every month with Thai and American food. It's a refreshing change of pace from all of the Korean owned and Chinese owned buffets around the area. Thai food has a unique flavor all of its own. And if you like spicy, you can get it really really spicy. I'm posting pictures of our breakfast, and I will post more in the future. It's a real family atmosphere with a large shout out for veterans in this establishment. Any time you're there, you will see veterans from Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. This is a family-owned Independent restaurant, sort of in the vein of Papa Marcos even though the food is of a different ethnic flavor. The cuisine is just as delicious in both restaurants, as both restaurants support military and law enforcement. This establishment is well worth a 5-star + rating!

I mostly go for seafood soup and my daughter's favorite chicken dumpling soup. Staff is wonderful and is like a family since they have been there for a long time.

Food is always fantastic. Great specials. Wide variety. Daily soup options are hard to pass up. Lunch time is pretty busy, so
service can be a little slow sometimes. You can order to pick up if short on time. But the servers will remember what you like and that's a plus.

I love my food spicy. This place, spicy was an understatement. I had to order a milder version. Love the food. The atmosphere is a combination between family restaurant and weekend diner, which is a great combination. I will most definitely return! The picture is the spicy version!!

Excellent Sunday breakfast buffet! Everything you could want- scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, breakfast potatoes, fiesta potatoes, French toast, pancakes, sausage, bacon, polish sausage, biscuits&gravy, donuts, fruit, more; all for $9.95. Very friendly staff with small town-feel atmosphere, fast service, outdoor seating. If I lived in the area, I'd visit often.

My grandson took me out for breakfast and we chose N&T Family Restaurant as we had never dined there before. Both of our meals were very satisfying. The service was friendly and quick. I will be coming back for lunch and dinner in the future.

Loved it! Where else could you get snowman pancakes for your kid, pad thai for dad and tom ka gai for mom for xmas eve brunch!

I like this place and the employees. I ordered the Lola burger, 1/2 lb. DELICIOUS.

Great corner diner but with a legit Thai addition. The hamburgers are house made of real Angus beef and the egg drop soup was good.
It's just CONSISTENT, good food.

A great place to gather for breakfast. Every town seems to have that one go-to cafe for breakfast, and it's easy to see why N & T's is one of those spots: delicious food, very reasonable prices, and service with a smile. Definitely looking forward to dining there again.

Good Thai food.I had the green curry and it was delicious. The staff was warm and welcoming.

Love Love Love N&Ts. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful diner here locally. The thai omelette pssshhh unreal. Must try.

Love this place. Sausage biscuits n gravy are the best around and even beyond. Been getting it for 20yrs. They are like family to me and they make you feel like that as well. Great people, great food, come support.

The wife and I have drove past N&T family resteraunt several times.
Always saying that we're going to stop in and today we finally got the opportunity to go. And it did not disappoint!!!
We got there around 4:30ish. Which was a little before the dinner rush. It was pretty much the senior crowd. But the service was amazing! Its a classic family resteraunt/diner vibe. The whole staff was incredibly kind and ontop of their game. Not only treating their regulars good, but I probably had at least 3 different waitresses ask me if the table was good and if my wife or I needed anything. We also brought my 6 month old daughter, who was greeted by several staff that all were very sweet to her.
The food itself was also a really cool mix of American diner staples and Thai food. My wife went for the pancakes and hashbrowns (she loves breakfast food) She said the pancakes were light, fluffy and delicious, the hashbrowns were also good diner hashbrowns. I went with the Tom Kai soup and the Pa Nang Curry noodles. The Curry was very good, but the Tom Kai soup was genuinely one of the best things I've ever had!!! They made it extra spicy for me, which was appreciated. Also it was so fresh from the cilantro, lime, and lemon grass, and so rich from the coconut milk. Just an overall amazing soup.
Highly recommend you try it out for the laid back atmosphere, and the great mix of food. Will definitely be back again soon for more of that Tom Kai soup.

Great little local restaurant. Thai and American food. The server was working a lot of tables. She was doing great keeping the food coming out and taking people's orders. I had the Thai omelet it was very different. It also was delicious. Priced around $12.00 a meal and nice portion size. Restaurant was clean and well kept. They just celebrated 30 years in business. Definitely a recommendation.

The liver and onions was cooked perfectly. I know many don’t like that dish, but if you do… it’s important that it’s not over cooked and dry. Well, it wasn’t. It was perfect. Seems like most everything is cooked from scratch here. We were pleasantly surprised. The service was genuine and friendly. It made our day after a long day at work.
