Port Edward Restaurant

Port Edward is absolutely one of the coolest restaurants we have ever been to. When we walked in, we were in awe at how awesome it was from. From the fish pond, to the boat, to the windmill and more...this restaurant's atmosphere and decor is perfect. We were greeted by a wonderful hostess and Miss Cheryl is who was so kind. The food and drinks here were top notch. They have a great menu with a wonderful variety whether you life surf or turf. The service was amazing. Our waitress was attentive and everyone from the busboy to the other staff were all smiles and kind. Highly recommend Port Edward during any season, for any big or small event. Thank you for an amazing experience. We will be back!

My first time here with my beautiful girlfriend it was an amazing experience! The workers the owner coming up to the table giving you stories behind the restaurant, there's an actual boat floating in this place that I'm definitely going to sit inside with my girlfriend. April or waitress did an amazing job! She knows how to take care of a guest. I cannot wait to come back to this place and try the other delicious foods they have here the creme brulee, the S cargo the shrimp dejonghe... This place has been here 60 years and I can see why thank you for the amazing experience 💯💪🔥

I celebrated my graduationvtodsyvand was looking for a seafood restaurant not close to where I expected everyone else to travel. I'm so glad I found this place! They only had dock seating, and that was perfect because it was a beautiful day. We had some fabulous cocktails along with some amazing mussels. We also opted for the crab spread, not the best, but definitely worth the try. I ordered salmon with garlic mashed potatoes, and it was so much and so good I got to take some home! Everyone else stated they loved their selections as well. The best part was we traveled indoors to see the decorations and WOW! Such a beautiful hand built restaurant. One of the general managers met us inside and gave us a grand tour. Thank you so much ❤. I couldn't have picked a better place and, if ever in town, again, definitely returning. 1000% recommend!!!

I visited the area for business, but WHAT AN AMAZING CUISINE they have at this jewel location. I has the VERY BEST SEAFOOD PASTA I've ever had in my life!
Taste, quality, preparation, presentation, quantity, I mean it.
I can certainly reccomend it. New outdoors is amazing (Seasonal).
Even Anthony (owner) came out to greet and meet! It was a perfect day to eat outdoors during luncheon. DONT MISS IT !

This was our first time dining here. We read reviews and we were dubious after reading some of worst ones. But we decided that it was a beautiful day and wanted to sit outside by the river and give it a try. We were warmly greeted, had OUTSTANDING service from Mary and had a VERY delicious meal! Mary was upbeat, extremely personable and helpful. We will definitely be back! And we’ll bring our friends!

My boyfriend and I went for the Mother's Day Champaign Brunch. We made our reservation, the service was great, and had plenty of Champaign refills. The waiting time was about 10 min, and the time to dine in is about 1 hr 30 min. The food was amazing and it was a great environment. They are very well organized, and they have a variety of food to choose from.
The view of the river is amazing, but unfortunately, it was a rainy day.
We will definitely visit again to try something else from the menu. Highly recommended.

Britney was great, she was so busy and still graceful kind and attentive. The food was excellent. Outstanding. Not sure it could have been any better. Grouper sandwhich, nice. Lobster roll, nice. Sweet Potato fries, best we ever had. Spin-Artichoke dip, best we ever had. Cheese caked, crazy delicious.
Classic Mai Tai Cocktail, perfect. Vodka grapefruit drink, delicious. Everything was quite perfect for us. Plus we took an order of roasted garlic yo go. Fantastic.

Great place, we were so happy with everything. The staff was really hustling. Music was fun and the perfect volume.

Been dining here for nearly 30 years. The Champagne Brunch is amazing! A huge variety of fresh delicious food. Can't go wrong with unlimited champagne. Service is always great too. My favorite place for birthdays and anniversaries

Each time I go here, it keeps getting better. Best place in the northwest area of the Fox River. This place is great. We had the Long Island Ice Tea special, Bombay Sapphire martinis up, Chilled Oysters half shell, crab cakes, Nantucket Bucket of Steamed Clams and a side order of bread with crab spread. Beautiful views and fun place.

We had an amazing sea food brunch. It is an eclectic place, which is so cool to me. I love how different it is from the modern places, has an old school feel. The food is good , and the cocktails are fun. The servers have been there for years which is always a plus for me, showing they are treated well. Will come back often.

Port Edward in Algonquin is about a 2 minute walk from my new office now so I'm excited to frequent it more often. Obviously the view is amazing. And both the indoor and outdoor bars have excellent ambiance and relaxing atmosphere. The food never disappoints either. This Sunday, I'm finally going to try the Sunday Brunch, I'll let you know how it goes!

Ok, as promised, I'm back to tell you how the Sunday Brunch was: first, they are very generous with the champagne so you definitely get your money's worth. The food was mostly excellent, namely the seafood items. I didn't try the desserts because I was sugared out on the champagne, but the assortment looked amazing. I would make sure you are very hungry before opting for the buffet since there are so many different varieties of foods to sample. As far as the waitstaff, our waitress was fantastic, and really made sure our large group was taken care of (I don't remember her name, but she did mention she's been employed there for several decades, if that helps).

We had a great lunch on the patio. The food was fresh and well made. Our server was outstanding. I with I had caught her name. The whole staff was hustling, and my water glass was never under half full. We had a great experience.

We celebrated our 27th Anniversary tonight at Port Edward with dinner on the boat. I grew up going here as a kid and had not been there for 30 years. It was as amazing as it has always been and exceeded my expectations with the fantastic service from April and the kindness of a sweet woman who had worked there for 50 years named Cynthia. They went above and beyond to make sure our night was one to never forget and all of the food was delicious. I highly recommend to everyone to come and enjoy this experience for yourself! Thank you to April and Cynthia for a perfect night!

First off, atmosphere amazing reminded me a little of fisherman's wharf back home in the Caribbean if you substitute the ocean for Fox River 🤣.... Lobster bisque and crab cakes fresh light delicious... Shrimp tacos 🔥 also one of the biggest lobster rolls by far over flowing with quality lobster and cheaper than other places at that couldn't eat it all. Tequila sunrise to cap off the sunset as the boats went by just perfect...5 stars

Great place for drinks and food overlooking the Fox River in Algonquin! It gets crowded fast so come early. Drinks are tasty and the seafood is not bad. A great place to enjoy the water and warm afternoons !!

This is your local guaranteed satisfaction seafood restaurant. I'm from Florida and I know my seafood...Port Edward serves the finest seafood dishes I'm the area. We dined again last night and enjoyed every bite. Brittany was our server, and she was kind, attentive, and helpful.
Overall excellent experience.

The food is excellent here! We live on the northern lakes so we took our boat from Fox Lake all the way down to Port Edward for the first time this year. Definitely love the experience. Their outdoor seating area is large and spacious. Definitely recommend.

Visited this establishment for a birthday party an early Sunday evening. The service was excellent and the place wasn’t too busy so wait times were minimal. The food was great but my steak slightly dry. Very cool atmosphere for a unique dining experience!

Update: thanks to management for the kind response. I visited this restaurant again, this time with my two sons age 4 and 6. The service was incredible and our waitress even brought my boys back to see some cool antique diving helmets and diving gear. My boys really enjoyed feeding the fish and they loved the food on the kids menu too. I also enjoyed my dinner and drink and had a wonderful time. Thanks for a great night with my two kids!

Great friendly restaurant with delicious seafood and steaks. The buffet on Saturday and Sunday is delicious and a wonderful experience. Prices are not cheap but reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. If you can try to get a view outside of the Fox River or in the main dining room with the two in Normas glass windows so you can have a wonderful atmosphere. This is a special place with excellent service clean facilities and awesome for casual dining or special occasions.
