Love this place not only because their food is so delicious you cannot stop eating it even when you a full 🤤 but also because of the nicest atmosphere and care! Our server Scott was incredibly helpful and caring! Thank you guys for making us feel comfortable and pleased!

This place is incredible! I had the pleasure of visiting this place for quick drinks on their roof top in the summer (fantastic by the way!!) but made it a point to actually have dinner here one day. And that day finally came! This place is small, cozy, absolutely delicious, and perfect for a date night! The food and drinks were SO good. Shockingly good for a little spot in the burbs. Add in the service, which was fantastic, you won't be disappointed! Check out this place when you can, it's totally worth it!

Also, take a walk across the street for an after dinner treat at their Whiskey and Wine bar (reviewing that next 😜)!

Bold American fare never disappoints! The food and service are top notch. Curt was the bartender and served us and he was attentive and fun and makes amazing drinks. Both the food and drinks are great. I highly recommend this place! The owner Greg is frequently around and super fun to chat with. Overall a great vibe and always outstanding food, drinks and service!

Hannah our server was wonderful. The Manager visited our table a couple of times. But what made this phenomenal experience was the food!

Over the years, I’ve ordered numerous pork chop dinners, it seems to be my go to food. The pork chop I ate last night at this restaurant was the best I’ve ever eaten in my entire life and I’m 65!

All of the food we ate from appetizer to dessert was unique, fresh, presented well, and most importantly absolutely delicious.

Amazing place to eat! Always amazing service! One of my favorite places! I have always enjoyed Kurt as my server great personality and charisma. The owners are great and a lot of fun. This place never gets old. Always inventive.

This was our first time here and we LOVED it! The food was top notch and very unique! Our server Kelsey was a rockstar. Very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. Took some of her recommendations and they were lovely. We will be back to try more menu items. 10/10 recommend.

What a great place. The menu is diverse and all the food looks delicious. We started with the mussel appetizers. Love it. This is a great change up from the traditional garlic wine sauce. The seasonings and spice were great. We both ordered the Black Truffle and Porcini Mushroom Sacchetti. This device is awesome. A little heavy but perfect for the winter. delicious creamy and I would say a must try entree. It will be hard for me to order something else next time. Check it out.

This was a beautiful dinner and dessert, Jessica is amazing waitress and had everything timed out perfectly amazing food and quick and attentive service couldn't have asked for better night! Food was all perfect.

Cozy restaurant in the style of old America with incredibly delicious cuisine and service at a high level. I would like to mention sous-chef Roman and waiter Scott, guys are professionals of their work. I recommend it 1000%

Absolutely my favorite place for lunch/dinner in McHenry County. My husband took me here on a date and since I’ve moved from downtown it’s the only place that is fresh to table. Chef Mat blows me away and Greg is always on top to give us the best atmosphere. Love this place

Best Mai Tai on the planet! We’ve had lunches, dinners and small plates. Everything is amazing! The menu never gets tired. Greg always makes a point of saying hi and checking in. Today’s server was Kurt. Attentive and thorough. Local fave!!!

My sister and I came out here to try the lobster pop tarts and those were amazing but so was the rest of the food. Kurt was awesome and we had the best time. The desserts were amazing as well. I loved the blueberry bread pudding

Wagyu Burger was phenomenal! Drinks were great, and the carrot cake was honestly some of the best I ever had. And I'm picky about my carrot cake haha.

Came for my birthday dinner. Table of 4. We had Jes as our server. Can I just say hiw absolutely wonderful our experience was. She explained all the specials to us with great knowledge and was super warm and friendly. The food was delicious as always. 10/10 would always recommend to everyone. BOLD is my go to for everything. Never disappoints.

Wagyu Burger was amazing, this is not your ordinary burger... Large enough to share, but then again, you may not want to. Faroe island Salmon was succulent. Drinks all on point and our server was so fun. Set in a 150 year old building, the Downstairs is appointed more like an upscale bar while the upstairs deck is fun and has a vacation vibe going on. While the food was not cheap, it was amazing.
We imbibed and ate in the downstairs portion. This review reflects that location for drinks and food.

Tried Bold for the first time after hearing good reviews. Great service, great atmosphere, even better food. The regular menu offers an excellent array of choices, and it definitely has an elevated "steak house" feel. We chose a brisket entree and a fresh fish entree, both were excellent. The manager and serving staff were very attentive and conversational. The drink menu was excellent too. Recommended for an easy-going night out.

Yum, yum, yum. First time here and everything was great. The Lobster Poptart is a fun appetizer and if you enjoy shrimp and grits then give the Red Neck Surf and Turf. We’ll be back for sure!

Walked in at around 530, very busy. Came in for dinner with my sister sat at a table had Scotty as our server. He was very helpful with the menu and drinks. Had a great time. We ended up closing out and deciding to stay for one more and sat at the bar, because our friend ended up joining us. Where we ended our night with fun cocktails with Kurt. His pear martini is a 10/10
