Newagen Seaside Inn

Picked this purely on the location on the map (and some of the photos) as a stop for a trip from a delayed flight into PWM to Acadia NP. And now I wish we'd planned our trip to just stay here, and maybe make a brief foray to other, busier, places. The website photos do not do justice to how beautiful and remote the location is. Rooms are well appointed and very comfortable, dinner at the on-site restaurant was fantastic. The staff was fantastic, from Abby at check-in to everybody at the restaurant, a whole group that obviously takes pride in what they're providing. If you got tired of the on-site restaurant, the other options nearby are closer than you think, and also worth re-visiting. An unexpected highlight of a trip to coastal Maine.

The most beautiful place to relax and unwind. A truly stressless visit. I enjoyed eating on the charming back deck overlooking the water. The hotel and wait staff make you feel at home from the moment you arrive to waiving you goodbye. I'm lucky to have found this piece of heaven.

Stunning wedding location with great staff, and attention to detail! Delicious food with stunning views! I loved working with Tiffany during the weekend as the MOH, she was super quick, knowledgeable, and fun. Johny and Lori were fantastic at the front desk for all of the guests, and were super approachable for questions! Shoutout to Rohan for being such a great server, and bartender, everyone loved chatting it up with him.

Beautiful location with water on 3 sides. Plenty of activities to keep a family of 4 busy day and night (so you don't even miss the TV). The inn has a great restaurant but is also only 15 minutes from Boothbay if you want other options. We would definitely come back!

My wife and I had a nice 2-night stay at the Newagen Seaside Inn. The property is just lovely, even though the weather was not great for our visist. We enjoyed walking the property and driving around the area to enjoy Boothbay Harbor. We were able to use the game room and enjoyed the amenities that were offered. Staff was helpful and attentive. Breakfast was good with a nice buffet style variety. Note... there are no TV's, which is clearly stated on the website. We were able to stream on my tablet with no problem through the wifi to have a little "wind down" entertainment each night.

The best wedding venue! Did not stay at the inn but room looked great! Spectacular view. Excellent food and they know how to do large events seamlessly.

We loved our stay at the charming Newagen Seaside Inn! The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and beautiful, and the grounds are stunning! Such a lovely place to stay for our anniversary trip!

We also loved trying out the Pine Room with its old fashioned bowling lanes, ping pong table, and more! Such a unique, fun feature! In addition, there are lots of outdoor games on the property that were fun to play around with!

Overall, this is a beautiful location with some really cool, unique attractions. I’d highly recommend this place!

My friends and I stayed at the Newagen Seaside Inn for three nights in October and had a wonderful visit. The property was beautiful with fantastic views of sunrise and sunset. There was a very nice outdoor seating area with a fire pit where we relaxed and met many new people. The restaurant was very good the night we had dinner there. The employees at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend the Newagen Seaside Inn to anyone visiting the Boothbay Harbor area.

What a great place to stay! Feels like you stepped back in time, and sums up what Maine is all about. The Inn is a little older, and with the wood floors you can here everything conversation in the main lobby in the morning. So if you are someone who enjoys sleeping in, then avoid the rooms that are located within the Inn (We stayed in the Blueberry Room). They have many other rooms not within the Inn to select from. However, the overall experience was what was hoped for. Will definitely return next year! And finally, Debbie at the front desk was an exceptional host. She just made you feel so welcome, and was about the most helpful person you could ever meet. The Newagen Inn is so fortunate to have someone like her representing their business. I'm in the hospitality/service business and would hire Debbie in a heartbeat if she was willing to relocate. Thank you Newagen for making this weekend trip very memorable. John

Such an amazing experience!!!!

The person who checked us in had the most bubbly personality and was kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and peaceful. The beds were very comfortable and beautifully dressed.

The bathroom was a little small, but very updated and comfortable. How does the glass shower door not get water spots!?!

We were here during COVID and were amazed with how clean and protected everything was. This hotel cares about keeping everyone safe. We had our own little to-go breakfast boxes in the morning!

The grounds are gorgeous. The room overlooked out to the ocean and was breathtakingly beautiful.

The hotel is secluded on a small peninsula but still close to a wonderful, cozy port town.

Wonderful hospitality! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. There is so much to do on the property but also a short drive from Boothbay! The inn is absolutely beautiful and was the perfect place for our mini-moon. We extended our stay to enjoy everything the area had to offer. The Pine Room (game room) was so neat, the guest room was clean and cozy, and we had an incredible view of the water. We can not say enough about the hospitality. Abby was so kind and welcoming and the rest of the staff was excellent as well. Breakfast was delicious. Everything was perfect!!

We had a really incredible “mini-moon”, staying at the Newagen. The views are spectacular, with the picturesque Maine deep-blue waters, and a very nice property to walk on. Our rooms were very clean, and our upgrade to the “little inn” with a private balcony was phenomenal. The manager, Abby, was super nice and helpful and helped make our vacation a truly special one!

Also, the food at the restaurant is amazing, and would definitely recommend going multiple times

We just left Newagen Seaside Inn this morning and were very pleased. Our room was in the main inn. Checking in was a breeze. All staff were very nice and seemed very happy to be working there. The room was very clean and had a newly re-modeled bathroom. Room and bathroom was very small but adequate. Furnishings were older. Linens were luxurious as were the toiletries. The grounds were gorgeous and very well maintained. The views were breathtaking. We ate our night meal at the restaurant. Service exceeded all our expectations and food was excellent both in taste and presentation. Breakfast comes with the room. It was a full delicious meal and again service very good. I am sorry that we only stayed one night. Would definitely like to go back and stay longer.

We went there to visit the Inn on a beautiful day! I used to go there years ago and I wanted to show my friends how magnificent this place is, especially on such a beautiful day. Inn hasn't changed at all...in fact they have added rooms. The view is like nothing you will ever see. And the amenities the Inn has are excellent! We would have loved to have a drink at the pub, but they weren't open yet. I definitely hope to return and stay for a few days!! Maine coast at its best!!

We came for a large family wedding. Every staff member was welcoming and so helpful and accommodating. The grounds were beautiful and offered many things to do and places to relax or gather with friends and family. Views were spectacular. Food was delicious. The only thing I didn't like about my stay was leaving.

This is a magical place that I hope to return to someday soon. I appreciate all of the character and the beauty of the grounds. We had a cozy dinner and drinks before going on an evening walk down by the water. The desk clerk gave us life jackets and oars to take a boat out. There were blooming lilac bushes. It was perfect.

The inn is in a beautiful setting; and we enjoyed walking to the waterfront along the trails. On a cool rainy day, it was nice to sit by a fire - even in summer! Staff were very friendly and helpful in the inn and restaurant. We ate all our meals there, which were excellent. The room was comfortable and clean, as were common areas. Overall, a very enjoyable stay - looking forward to future visits.

Lovely room, friendly and helpful staff, great views. Restaurant on site is delicious, the lawn lobster bake was fantastic, there are lawn games and rowboat available for guests to use as well as a sunset path with a gorgeous view. Will definitely be staying again!

We attended a wedding there. Everything was topnotch. From the Lobster Bake rehearsal dinner to the beautiful ceremony on the water.

This inn is one of the loveliest places I've stayed. The indoor spaces, including the rooms were immaculate and beautifully decorated. The outdoor spaces were perfect for sitting quietly and listening to the sounds of the ocean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, both before and during my stay. The food was delicious. I hope to come back again next summer.
