Ginger Mousse Bakery

Just found this place. A friend recommended their bagels. Here’s the thing: bagels are popular, as well they should be. They were sold out a couple of mornings ago, so I settled for an egg, sausage, and cheese breakfast sandwich. It was delicious. I drooled over lots of other stuff but resisted temptation. Plenty of time to sample the goods. Atmosphere is nice, too. Friendly, bustling. I am looking forward to many happy returns.

Okay, this place is an absolute gem on Route 1. Quality all around! Fantastic food, great service! I want to address previous reviews about service because it's simply not fair to bash a small place like this over your perceived service levels. Like many small places, when they become popular and get busy, the staffing isn't there to support it. The folks at the Ginger Mouse are doing their absolute best to provide stellar products that, quite frankly, are some of the best in their class in this area. So if you're coming here on a Saturday morning thinking you won't have to wait 4 minutes to get help, you're wrong. Be patient; it's worth it. And if you can't be patient, go back to your overpriced Latte served to you by your favorite barista.

First time visit and I am so impressed with this bakery! So much more than your standard bakery offerings. The bismark eclair was heavenly. Blueberry lemon scone was flavorful and moist! Shortbread cookie sandwiched with the best raspberry jam I've ever tasted. This quaint bakery also has coffee and a case filled with homemade soups, chicken salad etc. Owners and staff were kind and helpful. This is a special place, don't miss it!

My kiddo says "this bakery is a 5 star bakery, id give them 10 stars if it was possible "😁 she said the Bismark was the best thing she had ever tasted.

Very cute place. Food was great. Glad we stopped in. Breakfast pizza was way better than expected and my wife will not stop talking about the apple strudel.

This was worth the stop! Oh la la....just purchased a mushroom puffed pastry that was off the chart delicious! Friendly staff, pastries, soup, and coffee....what more could you ask for!

I love this place. Such a cute and quaint bakery. I requested a banana cream pie for pickup the next day and it was so delicious. The crust stayed flaky for 3 days! It probably would have been good for longer, but I couldn't resist finishing it.

This bakery makes the best pastries. I am so lucky they are so close to my house. I just got their new ginger mouse ear (I think that is what it is called). It is excellent. Just the right amount of ginger, great texture; the perfect morning treat to start off a dreary fall day.

This bakery is absolutely fabulous! We stayed about 15 minutes from it for a week... we literally went there every morning and loaded up on all of their goodies. We could not get enough of their deliciousness. Everyone should experience it. You will be hooked.

NOW I know why people eat scones. I couldn't never understand it until I tasted the blueberry scone from Ginger Mousse Bakery. The scones and the other pastries from this baker are A+. I 100% recommend stopping by GMB if you're anywhere near Nobleboro.

We stopped into this cute bakery on our drive back to Boston from Brooklin. We got an apple nest and a strawberry rhubarb turnover for the three of us to share. Both items were simply divine. All of the pastries looked amazing. My stepson’s comment on the apple nest was “I wish I could have one of these every day.” I second that. The strawberry rhubarb turnover was equally delicious. The perfect balance of sweet and tart. I wish we didn’t live so far away. I highly recommend and would go back in a heartbeat. I wish I had picture but we dug in before I rememberes.

Biggest regret is having had lunch before stopping there. Awesome people, coffee and lemon bars. Very pleasant chat with owner and counter gal.

We just discovered this wonderful bakery and have really enjoyed everything we have tried - danishes, cookies, mushroom and spinach puffs, soup, and chicken pot pie. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Definitely a great find!

kind of a hidden gem.. the lemon bars/squares omg! everything we tried, so far 2 trips this week has been over the top.. there willl be a third visit before we leave the area!

I discovered this place a couple of years ago, and I thought I was a big fan then. Then I bought one of their frozen homemade chicken pot pies … and if it’s possible to love this place even more…I do!
