Wolf Tree Nature Trails

Love walking these trails but they are a bit intermediate ground. There are many hills going up and down with roots acting as 'steps' in some places or just jutting out to trip you up. If your looking for a good walk and some exercise this is the perfect place. If you want somewhere kids can run around freely, maybe not so much. Absolutely beautiful and splendidly peaceful! Clean and respected by its walkers, This place truly is amazing ♡

Beautiful nature preserve in a nice, quiet area. You can get good exercise since part of it is pretty hilly. There's some nice little fun fact signs hiding back here. There's also a good variety of birds back here in summer.

Great location, never busy and plenty of variety for walking. Trail is cleared in most areas but not always smooth which is a fun challenge (dirt, sand, tree roots, rocks etc).

Beautiful place! Trails are rough and very hilly. Took my cat, Hurri Cane in his chariot. Not ideal for stroller. Still a good hike.

Great little nature reserve with a few short color-coded trails just minutes from the center of Kalamazoo. Great for dogs and hiking. A little dangerous terrain for runners!

Abundant birds, well maintained walking trails. Parking lot. No rest rooms, playground or picnic area. Dog friendly.

Wolf Tree is a terrific out-of-the-way nature trail on about 70 acres. It is almost never crowded and has moderate trails that go through forested areas as well as meadows. Great for a short walk or you can loop around several times for a longer hike. Plenty of parking in a gravel lot. Lots of pretty sights to see!

I went just before spring started so all of the trees were still dead, but I bet it would be a lot prettier in the summer! I did the blue trail and the green trail and the green trail was a little harder, so I liked it better. Would definitely recommend this nature trail to fellow hikers.

Beautiful area with a few miles of easy walking trails. There are multiple loops so you can choose a short walk or a longer one. I'm fairly certain there are no bicycles allowed.

Peace, tranquility, and serenity abound in this wooded natural area. There is a pond in the woods- a left over from glacial retreat and wolf trees as clues to a savanna long gone. A great place to teach geology, walk and be one with nature.

A nice spot! One of the loops has a little more up and down than the other, so be careful if going in the winter. One of the loops is more wooded and the other is more grassland. Not too busy, either!

Very nice well maintained land preserve. Plus in the center you will find the Wolf Tree. Trials are well marked. A wide variety of vegetation. Rolling hills on the hike so prepare to go up and down.

There's something for everyone here and the wildflowers are worth it! There's a great kettle lake in the back so you can see how glaciers shaped the land.
