If you have the time, even if you don’t have the time, find this great, tucked around the corner, gem of a cafe. You walk into a comforting atmosphere that has antiques and childhood memory items from ceiling to floor. The side room has a great collection of sock monkeys, antiques and a small John Wayne corner you have to see and appreciate. Move on to the server and how nice she was taking care of our table of 7, she was great. We were from out of state, Iowa, and visiting our family local to the area, this place was perfect for our catching up and visiting. The food was out FAST, spot on excellent, extra kudos for the homemade sourdough bread toast that they also sell fresh by the loaf. Some ordered omelets, others biscuits and gravy, some pancakes and hashbrowns. Every single option was great tasting and what I’d call large portions. I even heard my sister say, that’s good coffee, so there you go-stop in, say hi and order away-you can’t go wrong.

A rare find: a family-owned and operated cafe that was open through the pandemic and survived. The cafe’s friendly service and laid back atmosphere surely helped. But the food! Proudly scratch made. No food service coleslaw here (or anything else). And that includes their breads. Their English muffins are to die for.

Very old-fashioned breakfast diner atmosphere. We had 5 people in our party and every dish on the table was exceptional. We even got a bacon syrup pancake to pass around to taste which was well worth the extra calories. The service is prompt and courteous. We will definitely be going back real soon.

This place rocks! The burgers are off the charts good. They get their meat specially blended from Shipshewana. I had the barnyard burger that is hamburger, sausage and bacon blended together and it was beyond delicious. And I got it with an egg and it was beyond messy. Lol the atmosphere is cool and kitschy with antique stuff everywhere. It's a hoot! The owner is really friendly too. Only open for breakfast and lunch. You need to try this place.

We used Barb’s Wire Cafe to cater my sisters baby shower. I had a vision for what I wanted but also wanted to bring some of my other stuff. Barb, was FANTASTIC to work with from start to finish!

She was very accommodating and provided excellent suggestions. She even worked with our venue owner to deliver our food and make sure she had the appropriate dishes for our items. She was absolutely right about how much food we needed and went above and beyond with what was requested.

Barb was An excellent communicator. She updated me several times and gave me a lot of comfort going into my event date. I would highly recommend using her for your upcoming event!

I had the Light You Up French toast and hubby had the barnyard burger - both were EXCELLENT!!! Karen was our waitress and was super sweet!! There are so many neat things to look at! Loved the whole experience - will be repeat customers !! And I got apple bread pudding to take home too ❤

Eclectic atmosphere, made from scratch food and a friendly staff.

The food is amazing, everything is from scratch and you CAN tell. Their bread is amazing.

It is clean spot with lots of seating for small or big groups.

What a find!!! Small town diner. Old time feel. Staff were friendly and very helpful! Prices are so reasonable! It's nice to go somewhere that doesn't charge you extra for things like mushrooms and onions on your 10oz steak and eggs breakfast!! Yes i said 10oz!!! Lol. Definitely coming back to this gem!!

This is true homestyle cooking at its finest. The owner and staff are very courteous and friendly. Their kitchen is equipped with very nice appliances where the chef can make just about anything. You will feel right at home in this beautiful hometown diner located in downtown Plainwell.

Wow great old timey diner atmosphere with tons of eclectic decorations. Food specials were enticing but I settled on the cheesesteak omelet which was delicious. The owner was politely checking in for feedback and told me they have weekly specials for omelets and French toast. I cannot wait to come back and try more! Also the hashbrowns were the best I have had 👍

Love the decor. The food is very good. Enjoyed the sausage gravy and the made in house chorizo. Service (Emily) was awesome

I highly recommend this place! We stumbled upon it after spontaneously deciding to get a late breakfast as we were headed out of town following a wedding. The food was delicious. We went in just hoping to get some eggs and pancakes but ended up ordering two of the breakfast specials that day. I ordered an apple bread pudding which was amazing, along with eggs and bacon (the bacon was cooked to my preference, even) and my girlfriend had one of the best veggie omelets she's ever had. Even the toast was great.

Not only was the food great, the hospitality was unparalleled. I can honestly say that I have never encountered such friendly service anywhere else.

Along with the above, the atmosphere was very charming, with all the antiques on the walls. There's tons of cool stuff to look at! I'll definitely stop back in the next time if I'm in the area again.

I think they are one server short. But....

Great local small town diner with unique and fun decor. The food is excellent. The homemade bread options are FANTASTIC. Love the small town feel and environment. Staff is friendly and warm and make you feel like family. Best breakfast spot in Plainwell.

I dined here 2 years prior for lunch and loved it. Finally returned, with my wife, for breakfast and the selection and food was amazing. So delicious. Our server, was so kind, cheerful, and fantastic. We took home a loaf of their spectacular homemade bread. Jalapeño Cheddar, yum. This diner is worth visiting not only for the food, you must see all the decorations and memorabilia lining their walls and ceilings.

Great homemade breads! Nice back area for larger groups or quiet when not busy. Great atmosphere lots of cool antiques and creative breakfast. Such as Peach French toast.

I have heard good things about this small Cafe but I had no idea it was that good. Everything exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing and the server “Sparky” was the most helpful and attentive waitress I have ever seen. I will definitely be back often!!!!

Hands down one of my favorite breakfast spots. The owner and staff genuinely care for their customers, their food is spectacular, and the restaurant is cozy and eclectic in all the best ways. If you don’t stop in for breakfast, at least pick up some of their homemade breads and bagels. Would like a better cup of coffee to go with their top-notch omelettes, but that won’t stop me from eating in.

The food was delicious, all homemade and our waitress was amazing! I think her name was Erin.

Great little Cafe with a really good breakfast. Got the country fried steak with eggs and grits. Would definitely recommend that meal!
