Cottonwood Inn

My wife and I spent a long weekend here last summer and absolutely adored our experience. We loved the John Calvin room and the cozy accommodations at Cottonwood. Location is easily accessible to Saugatuck and Holland and has the best rates I could find in the area. But even if it didn’t, it would be well worth the stay. Liz was a phenomenal host and crafted scrumptious breakfast menus every morning. We reflect fondly on the trip - a belated thank you from us!

Highly recommend. Very relaxing and enjoyable. The location is surrounded by nature, yet within biking distance to the beach and short drive to beautiful, downtown Holland. Liz is very kind and has a God given gift of hospitality. Very good food and very clean.

We stayed at Liz's for our wedding in June. Her place is exactly what we needed; peace, quiet, & comfort. The John Calvin room reeks of beautiful history preserved yet warm and inviting. The 3 seasons room (adjacent to the master bedroom) was a very relaxing way to start our day. Her homemade breakfast was amazing everyday. Very savory. We enjoyed sitting and talking with her and the other guests. Thank you for hospitality, we will defiantly be staying with you in the future.

This will be our second trip to Holland, MI. Cottonwood Inn is a beautiful Bed & Breakfast. Close to downtown shopping and absolutely excellent service. Breakfast is scrumptious- Thanks, Liz, for being so good to us. Already look forward to seeing you next year. MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄

We loved our stay here. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The owner Liz was very friendly and welcoming. Her breakfast was amazing. Location was perfect for the activities we had planned. Definitely recommend staying here.

15 minutes to downtown. Liz's Holland recommendations were great- Butch's for fine dining, Hops for lunch, antiquing and more!

The owner is very supportive and helpful when it comes to find nice restaurants or beach spot nearby. The breakfast she cooks is superb. Rooms are clean and neat, the whole house is very charming. Very quiet neighborhood in the woods. On the flip side you do depend on your car to move around. Would definitely stay there again.

Our stay was fantastic. Holland is such a sweet town and this bed and breakfast was the cherry on top. Liz takes so much care to make sure her guests feel welcome. She greeted us at the door and even went over a map of Holland with us so we knew our way around. Everything was charming, exceptionally clean, and the homemade breakfast is delicious! Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer.

This place was so comfortable and Liz is just the sweetest person and made us feel so welcomed. And food was delicious! Parking is in driveway. We stayed in th Edwards room with bathroom connected. Has a beautiful view loved the shampoo and soap provided very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend hope we can go back!

Cottonwood Inn is definitely a 5-star experience! The Inn is beautifully kept and the rustic decor is so comfortable to relax in. We stayed in the John Calvin room, which is quite lovely and very spacious. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the adjoining porch. Both the front and back yard are gracefully landscaped, providing a lovely view from any vantage point. These owners take pride in their property! Breakfast both days was delicious! Liz is a wonderful cook and a lovely person to chat with. She provided us with a map and shared information about many of the places around Holland to visit. I would highly recommend a stay at Cottonwood Inn!

This was such a perfect B&B stay! Liz was so friendly, welcoming and gave us some great tips on things to do in the area. The room was very cute, cozy and very clean! We had our own bathroom down the hallway, also extremely clean. Now the breakfast was amazing! She's a great cook and everything is so beautifully arranged. We would definitely come here again!!

My wife and I stayed one night for a quick anniversary trip. We were happily greeted immediately upon arrival by Liz, who welcomed us and made us feel right at home. She showed us to our room, which was beautiful, clean, and full of everything we could have needed. After that she offered several suggestions for our activates during out stay based on what we said we were interested in. It was so helpful! And last but certainly not least, breakfast was AMAZING! The food was delicious and Liz went above and beyond to accommodate my wife being gluten free and dairy free. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and only regret that we couldn't stay longer! Definitely a must stay for the Sugatuck and Holland areas, and we will be coming back!

Our stay at the Cottonwood Inn was amazing! Liz went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. As soon as we arrived, she gave us an overview of Holland and all the best things to see and do based on our interests. The Inn was nestled in the woods, close to paths and walking distance from Lake Michigan and Lake Mac. It was so peaceful, cozy. quiet, sparkling clean and the perfect getaway from city life. Liz served us homemade breakfast each day. It was restaurant caliber and most delicious. I highly recommend staying here on your trip to Holland or Saugatuck. Can’t wait to come back!

Cottonwood Inn is the quintessential B&B — a beautiful and perfectly (seemingly 19th century, but actually newer) home built with the finest materiale in a lovely wooded setting, replete with the perfect, welcoming and most helpful hostess, Liz. (She runs a B&B because she is “a people person,” as she puts it.) She and Cottonwood made our stay in the wonderful lakeside town of Holland a real treat. After her delectable breakfast, we sat around with coffee as she plied us with ideas on where to go and what to see. A true gem of a B&B. —James Huskey

If you’re visiting Holland, no need to look any further because this is absolutely the place to stay. This is the most charming, quaint, and cozy bed and breakfast. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need and the beds are very comfortable. Little touches such as aromatic soap and room spray, cold water bottles, etc. really add a feeling of luxuriousness. If you don’t want to sit in your room, there are plenty of cute nooks and even games and books available for use. I can’t wait to go back in the winter and sit by the fireplace. Booking was a breeze and making late arrival accommodations was quick and easy. But the best part of this place is the owner, Liz. She is so sweet and down to earth. She genuinely cared that my husband and I had a great stay and enjoyed our time in Holland. She shared a map with us that was very helpful in getting around and gave us plenty of recommendations. And her breakfasts were absolutely delicious and truly the best bites we had in Holland - no exaggeration. The Cottonwood Inn B&B is a true gem and I cannot recommend it enough!

I had a wonderful experience when I stayed at the Cottonwood Inn last week. I was in town for only one night, but my experience was so perfect that it left me eager to return. I was in town with a friend for a conference. We were greeted by Liz the moment we arrived. She is energetic and very friendly. She made us feel right at home. She gave us a quick tour and helped us get acquainted with the local favorites. She had wonderful recommendations for things to experience during our short stay. The Inn is spotless (bedrooms, bathrooms, common areas), the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the breakfast was top notch. If you are heading to Holland, you must plan your stay at The Cottonwood Inn. You will not be sorry!
