An absolutely beautiful park with amazing, and very well kept trails. Even many of the small off shooting trails are very nicely kept, and all have quite beautiful, scenic views. Almost all of these woods are old growth, which makes it just even more beautiful. Its about a fifteen or so minute walk end to end, and is definitely worth it. I would recommend this park to anybody who loves nature like i do.

I was a little confused when arriving because it looked like just a vegetable garden. I found the trail, though. It was a beautiful day for a walk. If you love nature and walking in the woods, this is for you. Totally enjoyed my walk.

Nice park that has been "preserved as a natural area" according to the city description. There is a neat, mostly natural trail that cuts through the park from Ball to Perkins. Only a small bit is paved. In the east-west direction, it is 0.55 mile long. There's a 0.09 mile stretch that extends to the wetland overlook. There are three benches along the trail, and two at the overlook.
At the Perkins end of the trail, there is also a community garden. There are quite a few parking spots but pretty much all are marked as "gardener parking only". I didn't see any marked spots for park visitors.

I went into the store to order flowers, and the staff was so helpful! The flowers were beautiful, and were exactly what I ordered. I will definitely go there for all my cut flower purchases.

Smack dab in the middle of a residential area. The parking lot is shared with a gardening area. Short walk to a peaceful pond with amazing wildlife.

I love this park. It's in a great place and I have seen some amazing things on this trail from deer, ducks, black squirrels, a fox, etc. I am always on this trail to run it. It's not a far course but it work. I love the pond It's a nice site everytime. Also the community garden is so cute and you will always find someone working hard in it.

First time walking this trail. Saw 5 deer. ❤❤❤. My roommate (Brian Tice) and I walked it in the late afternoon. Saw 3 more small groups of people. I will be going back soon

First time going to this park and was pretty impressed by how everything there was. The trail and the little water place in the back was so clean and nice. I love grand rapids and how we have so many nature trails around the city. Very impressed with this place and will be coming back.

Parking lot never plowed. As the neighbors, we pushed/shoveled out many cars in the winter

Nice, serene pathway connecting Ball and Perkins. The pathway also leads to a small pond tucked back in the woods. A beautiful place to connect with nature without having to leave the city.

Nice, short (1/2 mile) walking trail with a community garden. There is an overlook at a marsh with some benches. Only one picnic table at the East end. Nice to have the green space in town!

Used the hiking trails not the ball park. The trails were fantastic and dog friendly with a leash of course. A vere nice find. Almost all board walk. Will go back there again.

Really beautiful park. It feels like you are in the middle of a forest even though you are actually right in the city. I went geocaching here and there were 5 stops to make.

You are likely to see deer or turkeys either early, early morning or around sunset. The park is just a trail that connects Perkins and Ball. There's a spur leading to the pond where there's a little platform and a couple benches are scattered about should you want to sit a spell.

A great place to take a walk and see where all the city deer hang out.

A beautiful little trail in the city. There were a dozen Great Egrets in the little wetland and several deer along the trail.
