Hair By Joua

I regularly get a haircut with Jour every 2 weeks, sometimes every week. Helps boost my mentality to feel good. Same feeling after a good day at the gym, but without breaking a sweat! Joua is only hairstylist that can make something out of my bald head. Thanks Joua!

I found Joua through a recommendation from an acquaintance on social media. During this time, I had recently had my hair dyed a light pink by another hairstylist, but it was not the best job done. I reached out to Joua via email to correct for my pink hair.

Joua was very responsive and polite. She also made sure she understood what I was looking for. She had me send pictures prior and made it clear that it would take longer than the average booking. Little did I know it literally took us almost 8 hours to complete (this was inclusive of a haircut/trim).

She was very thorough with what I should expect to happen during the appointment. She made it clear if she went over my already-very-bleached hair that there was a chance for breakage, and so forth. Ultimately, she left the decision up to me which I highly respect her for.

What I really like about Joua's services is that she took her time. She did not rush because it was late, or that she and I was tired. She is a true artist that knows she needed to take her time to achieve what I wanted as well as be happy with her own work. This I extremely respect of her. I am overall happy with the results.

Had my first ever haircut here (raised Pentecostal) and Joua was so kind and considerate. She listened to exactly what I wanted and kept checking in to make sure I was okay since she understood it was a big step for me. She used the reference pictures I brought in and chatted with me and my friend the whole time. I’m so in love with how it turned out ♥ I also love the way she French braided my hair

Joua does a great job of being personable and friendly. She has a great amount of knowledge on hair and walked me through the pros and cons of different hairstyles based on my hair type. She is my go-to and have always been pleased with her services!

I'm a guy, and I recently got my hair bleached, colored and cut by Joua. She did a fantastic job! I'm pretty bad at telling my hairstylists what I want, especially when it comes to coloring my hair (something that I had never done before). Despite this, I felt that Joua was knowledgeable enough to understand what I wanted and help me pick the right color/cut. I highly recommend trusting your hair with her.

Joua is awesome and very detailed. She listens attentively to what you want and does exactly. I got the hair color I wanted and she recommended a hair treatment that I'm in love with now. I usually dont cut my hair at the salon because they always cut it way shorter than I want but Joua was very aware and trimmed it to just as i expected. She also explained everything and made sure it was to my liking through out the whole process.

Joua is great at what she does. Truth is I rarely get my hair cut because its awkward not knowing what I want or what will look good on me. Joua is knowledgeable, passionate and very personable. She made me felt comfortable from the gecko. Since then she is my to go person for major cuts and style changes. I would highly recommend her.

Joua styled my hair for my wedding. I couldn't have asked for a better hair stylist. She listened to what I wanted and used her creativity to create a beautiful hairstyle for my special day. Not only does she style hair, she does a fantastic job cutting hair as well. My husband and I have gotten hair cuts from her. Her crew cuts and fades for men look flawless and she listens to how much you want trimmed for women's hair. She also does a great job with layering hair. I highly recommend her. She is personable, professional and is always willing to go beyond her services. You can definitely see through her work that she truly loves what she does and the outcome is always too notch!

My experience here was amazing! Joua makes you feel comfortable and welcomed(I’m a introvert) but somehow I was yapping away. She took her time with my hair cut and paid so much attention to detail. I definitely would go back in the near future!
