New Mandarin Restaurant

This place has been such an amazing stop. For years and years on end, they never disappoint.

Friendly staff, great home-cooked like meals, and excellent prices. They'll remember you if you visit often enough.

Suggestion #1: The Pho. Clean broth, great selection of Pho types and they even have fish sauce on the tables. I only eat Pho at places that have fish sauce on the table!

Suggestion #2: Bun bo Hue. Step up from Pho. When you're ready to elevate your palate. Robust flavors similar to Pho, but spicier, strong lemongrass flavor, and beef. This just needs a squeeze of lime and some chili.

Suggestion #3: Wonton Egg Noodle. Add a dollop of soy sauce to the broth (no lime) and some spice, bam. You have yourself a nom nom nom dish. I tend to get this dish to go as they don't have red vinegar or sesame seed oil. That's how I grew up eating this type of dish, but a little soy sauce and spice can still satisfy.

The atmosphere was not spectacular, but the food was very good. Large pieces of meat in both the beef and chicken dishes that I ordered. The wait staff was extremely attentive, and my water glass was hardly empty. I would definitely go back.

I was there on January 30th. The food was super hot and the service was quick! What was supposed to be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside was! I was actually pleased that the food was brought out as it was finished being cooked...one entree at a time. I knew that the food was fresh. The food was so hot that it didn't matter the entrees were brought out one at a time we still had to wait for the food to cool down to eat it. I was VERY pleased with the price for the amount of food we received! We were not from the area, came from UP NORTH, I don't understand the bad reviews, maybe the people who wrote the bad reviews are competitors or happened to go on and off day? We have to come down to Minneapolis area again and on the way back we are definitely stopping! BTW we have a lot of Asian Cuisine... Fargo, Duluth, Brainard Area , St. Cloud and all points in between!! So we know!

Ordered a Kung Pao Chicken and Sweet & Sour Pork combo, which came with fried rice, an egg roll, and choice of soup. Service was very fast and the food was excellent.

I've been there twice in the last couple of weeks, food and service were excellent price of food was fair. The last time I was there there was a lot of loud talking between the people that own or work at the restaurant. This seems to be a fairly normal thing in Asian restaurants.

Excellent Pho! I got #25 and added some of their homemade chili oil. So good! Lots of cute knickknacks to buy, too. Can’t wait to come back and try other items on their extensive menu. Highly recommend.

In my opinion is the best Chinese/Vietnamese food restaurant, period. The best egg rolls, crispy and delicious (especially when dunked in the pan fried dumplings sauce), the pan fried dumplings are to die for, and the soups are out of this world good. I will never stop coming here ever.

Honestly I love this place with all of my heart the food here is made with so much love nothing can compete. Give it the chance the dining room may not look like an art peace but the food is legendary.

it's a small place. better customer service would be ok. the lady always seems upset or with aggressive tone. but overall the do well.

This place is the best. The owners are very personable, friendly and kind their workers. I don’t know if their employees are family or not but I’m telling you the family oriented. You can either sit down or take out. I always take out but they’re always super fast and they’re fun and funny and it’s just a beautiful place. I give them 100 but you can only go to five that sucks lol :-) you’ll enjoy their food. I recommend it to everybody thank you new Mandarin jonniesue staley.

Special Pho was SO good! After living in SF for the last few years I'm super picky about Asian food. I was SO happy when everything we ordered hit the table.

Best Chinese, Vietnamese food in the state, in my opinion. And I eat out a LOT.

This restaurant was a childhood favorite of mine and it's still as amazing as I remember! Personally I love their pho, wonton soup, and fried rice but you can't go wrong with anything you order here, it all tastes great. So happy they've stayed in business all these years <3
