I had such a wonderful experience. This was my first time back in a salon chair in 3yrs. So I was nervous about how the experience would be and how my hair would turn out, but Shonna is a Jewel 💎 she made me feel so comfortable with my hair due to me having some traction alopecia and thinning in some areas. I felt so relaxed 😌, by the time she was done I didn’t even realize it and I was looking stunning 🤩 at that. I highly recommend Shonna if your looking a good African American hairstylist who knows what they are doing and listens to your hair concerns and needs, but also a peaceful, clean, professional environment. I will be returning 🙂

I wan edge heading back into the salon but once I met Shonna that changed. She is professional and personable and made me feel relaxed and wanted to make sure I was happy. Shonna is awesome! I had to write a quick review before booking my next appointment. Shonna has been doing mine and my daughter's hair - for about a year now (new to the area). I had tried a previous salon in the cities, and the stylists over-processed my hair....which led me on the hunt for a new stylist and found Shonna. She has her own studio, so she devotes her time to you. She is gentle while styling, focused on healthy hair (my hair has grown so much!). I highly recommend trying her if you need a stylist, especially if you don't wanna drive inner city. Her space is nice, clean, and she is prompt.

I can't go anywhere without someone asking who cuts my hair. Shawnna has made me love my hair all over again. I had a stylist over color my hair and it all fell out. Shawnna cut my hair one time for a friends wedding and it was just a trim, it was set in stone from there. I've been so busy that I only go about once every 5 weeks now for a relaxer and a cut, the fact that I can go THAT long with a short cut is testimony enough. She spends time with her clients and gives you exactly what you ask for - unless she thinks it's not a good fit, she will let you know. She's the best person I have seen cut short hair in Minneapolis. Absolutely amazing.

Shonna was amazing! I had quite the hair disaster and wasn't able to find another professional who could handle it. Plus all the youtube suggestions I tried had only made the situation worse. This was hospital hair mixed with hospital glue that had been knotted over the course of a month+. Shonna saved a ton of hair, took the time (7+ hours) to work it out to get it a good length. Despite having had long long hair for 20 years and being very nervous about going semi-short, Shonna calmed my nerves the whole way through and I ended up with a cut that looks AMAZING! I LOVE, absolutely love, my hair again. It's even better than my long hair that I was afraid to loose and having someone who had the motivation and patience to deal with disaster hair and make it beautiful made this transition and healing process so much better! I will definitely be going back and can't imagine going anywhere else.

A place where sisters, of color can sit down relax, and walk out feeling beautiful. Shona, you are a blessing to the young and old to the African-American women, ladies we don't know this but it is true, braids and we've can damage our more than we think. So give your hair a rest and go to after affects studios and give your hair a great growing, gratitude
