General Mills Research Nature Area

Some nice paved trails thru a little nature preserve.

Quaint little park with trails and small side trails leading into the forest. I went walking at night and felt safe. It is a surprise to see such wooded nice walking path just off the beaten path. There is a small pond and a look out spot up high on a hill. Will come back, glad I stopped.

The winding trails and lush greenery is most excellent. This is an "unmaintained" trail so it is paved but not plowed or shoveled in the winter, however that only ads to its feeling of being out in the middle of nature. Such a great park! Great scenery, people and feels.

Another hidden treasure in the metro area.. being that is it is the middle of May we were stunned at how loud the frogs were in the swamp and how active they were hopping all over the place. We even saw muskrats swimming amongst all of them. What an awesome experience.

A very satisfying outdoor experience. Very nice tared trails rolling through the nature preserve. There is a lot of downed trees that needs clean up attention. Otherwise a very enjoyable walk.

This is a great park to get away and into nature. When on the trails, there are very few places where you can see houses

Just far enough from home to wear out our littles when we go for a walk, yet not too far that we have to carry them or take a stroller. The paved paths, think figure eight shape with spokes attaching to city streets, are a teensy bit hilly for our gang. Quite popular with dog walkers, bicycles, and those looking for an escape into nature. We stop on the east side of the "lake" to see turtles sunning themselves .

Played here as a child before it became a park. I remember cold spring like water in deep narrow ditches coming from toward the General Mills plant. Good times!

Beautiful paths through the trees. What a wonderful place for the employees to spend their lunch time!

A natural area for area residents, great for walk. Travels are not always cleared in the winter but I still walk every day.

Biggest variety of food. Good atmosphere. Great place to eat dollar for dollar no place better. And I am a VEGAN.

A nice and medium sized woodland in the middle of a neighborhood with lots of wildlife.
