Nancy Pierson was recommended to me by one of my most trusted financial associates to consolidate 14 accounts one of which was a very high car note into a single AFFORDABLE monthly payment.. I could not be more satisfied with the prompt sincere service I received all the way through the process . I felt genuinely cared for as an individual trying to plan better financially and not at all like just another loan number ! I can not recommend TruStone enough although Nancy is my go to lady I’m sure now with my 2nd visit to the Roseville location that their entire team is experts and really knows how to put the client first and quite frankly make each client feel like a real shareholder in the operation. Love it love it love 1 million stars

I have done business with Trustone since 2016 and have had a fantastic experience across the board. The service is always professional and friendly and I've had no issues ever. They seem to care more than some other famous national brands.

We just moved to MN, and was in the market for a new auto loan. After cold calling 6 different local credit unions, these guys had the best rates so I went with them. I just finished the loan process (with a specialist named Josh Rains) and I gotta say, it was the best experience I’ve had with a financial institution of any kind. I was on a super tight 24 hour deadline, we were working with a brand new car company without traditional dealers (and consequently some unorthodox processes for 3rd party lenders), and Josh really went above and beyond to make it all happen. He was extremely responsive, he communicated clearly and outlined the strategy to help me get what I needed, stayed late on a Friday night to make sure that we’d be able to hit the deadline, was up early on Saturday to fight for a better rate for me, got it, and still managed to hit the deadline. I’m not a big leaver of reviews, but I’m also not used to this level of customer service, *especially* from a bank. Honestly cannot recommend highly enough.

I recently worked Joshua Rains on a new auto loan. He was able to get me my approval quick and had me in a car within no time from when I put my application in. He was GREAT! Personable, Professional and a delight to work with! THANK YOU SO MUCH for your assistance! I appreciate you!

We had a really positive experience working with Trustone as a lender, largely because our representative - Mike Kadier - was very responsive and dedicated to meeting all deadlines.

I wish more companies operated with this level of care and concern for individual customers. I was able to re-finance both of our vehicle loans with TruStone and save nearly $200/month. With that, we had to get the lien-holder changed on the titles which they helped us through every step of the way even though I had a very complicated 3 month ordeal switching my title and license plate from a different state that was further complicated by the state's computer issues. Zach Kasen went out of his way to ensure that the situation was resolved as quickly as possible and even tapped in to his network of connections to make things happen! Thanks!

These people kept me on their books for over 7 years with no activity, and with only $6.48 in the account. I had moved, and withdrew almost all the money. The only reason I kept it open, was the hassle, and the $2,000 life insurance for members. I then thought if they were that persistent, I would send them $500 to deposit in savings. They were great, and spent a bunch of time helping me to set an on-line banking account. I do not think I could ask more of a credit union. They have some great people working there.

I recently had the pleasure of working with a rep. named Josh R. on an auto loan. He was very informative and provided all the important info in a timely manner. Josh had exceptional customer service! My approval was quick and hassle free. I certainly appreciated his assistance, and it was a wonderful loan experience. Sending a HUGE THANK once again for everything!

UPDATE: Received a call within 20 minutes of posting this review from a call center manager who had already looked into my issue. It's unfortunate I had to post this review to receive an appropriate response, but that gesture matters. Added a star for that, but the initial issue should never have happened.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I used to be a member of Teacher Federal Credit Union, which is how I became a member of TruStone many years ago. At first I didn't notice a difference. However, in the last couple of years it seems they only care about selling you products (insurance, cashback cards) and not about your banking experience. Don't get me wrong - the individual branch employees I've worked with have continued to be a bright spot in my day. Unfortunately they are not in charge of overall communication, policy, or customer satisfaction. The couple of times I've had to call for issues or concerns in recent years I've ended the call three times as upset as when as when I picked up the phone to dial. Decided I didn't need that kind of poor service in my life and have begun the process of shifting all of my banking services elsewhere. Corporate to me = 0 stars, but I'd give 4-5 to local branch workers.

I moved my auto loan and HELOC to them and initially, it was very friendly service. But now there is a missing title. Many phone calls, left messages, emails and nobody wants to take ownership of anything. First impression was pretty good. Customer service has a LONG way to go. Making me rethink my decision for sure.

7-27 They have called me and confirmed what I needed with the situation with my title. The corporate office seems to be the place to contact for any issues vs the branch offices.

Can't do this anymore. 10 years and lately the screwups are a joke. Wanted to like this place No one can help with a basic simple cancelation of a scheduled payment. App is broken. Website is broken. And talking on phone they can't do it. Been trying to cancel schedule payments to this Visa card for weeks. Bought I bonds and paid other debt. For weeks they can't cancel a payment so money in this account will barely pay mortgage. That really sucks. They'll definitely take the $20 fee for going under $2k. Speaking on that, if you go under $2k the last day of the month and go over $2k the 2nd of the month, $40 fee. Haha. What a joke. I accidentally moved money from visa card to checking. 10 seconds later moved it back. Charged a fee and they wouldn't refund it.

Bought a house last year. Not through trustone because the lender couldn't be reached by cell, office, or email. In this market I needed someone who worked weekends.

Once spent hours in a branch because I asked when a check would clear. They gave the date. I went there ready to make a big purchase. Looked like a fool when they said no to giving me the money.

Lastly. Calls and the message system are not good. You must visit the bank and might get some help. I hear great things from wings. And the reviews at each branch compared to trustone show that.

My Dad banked with your Credit Union for over 50 years and stayed with you through all of your morphing and remained loyal. I don't undertand why as he passed on 12/15/2018 and I'm STILL trying to get his accounts closed out and with every contact, there's another mess to clean up. I don't know how you stay in business.

We had been members since 2005, through US Federal Credit Union. They later became Firefly and eventually became Trustone. Over the years, we financed several cars, a motorcycle, and a boat. The last vehicle we financed, we had the insurance transferred over from our traded in vehicle. After several months, we started to get auto insurance added to our regular payments without any form of notification. This was resolved after speaking to someone in the insurance department at Trustone. We did not appreciate the way this was done without notification.
The last straw was when we misplaced a debit card and requested a replacement and was told up to 10 days. After two weeks, we contacted Trustone and was told they would expedite one to us in 3-5 days. We didn't receive that either. After almost a month, we opened up a replacement account with another Credit Union, had the funds transferred, and closed the Trustone accounts.
Very unprofessional and underhanded way of doing business.
I've used credit unions since age 19, over 40 years, and a couple of relocations. But this is unlike any credit union we've ever had. We do not recommend Trustone.
