Le Salbuen Cafe

I came along with a friend and had a delightful time here. The ambiance is cozy and charming, and the food is delicious.

Each element in the dishes felt carefully crafted, not your average taste, which I appreciated.
I usually don't finish the potatoes or sweet potatoes that come as sides, but here, with beets and onions mixed in, they were so tasty that I finished them all. :D

went mid day and had the Brunch menu. Got the Le Wild Salmon Benedict which came with a lemon Hollandaise sauce and she assured the sauce was vegan. It came with a side of sweet potato and the whole combination was so delicious. We also got the Almond Milk Pancakes which were GF and Vegan. It came with a side of Maple syrup and topped with honey glazed walnuts and berries. Was really satisfied with both the dishes. The service was good and loved the interior of the shop. This place has so many great options on the menu!!

Le Salbuen is a cozy little spot in Montclair, NJ. It has great food, friendly staff and menu posted has a second page which gives you pretty good choices. Aaahhh Montclair… what can I say? Street parking is very difficult! There are few public parking and hopefully near your destination. It’s worth it when you find that spot because there are lots of good restaurants in the area . Had the Portuguese French Toast- loved it but I just find the sausage a bit too salty. Otherwise, had a great brunch with a dear friend!

Salmon was amazing and the vegetables were extremely fresh and seasoned very well. I also enjoyed the espresso! Will be back soon :)

I'm posting on a delay - I visited this summer and sat at an outdoor table for Sunday brunch. Everything was tasty and beautifully presented. I'll say that there was only a small amount of awkwardness around receiving the bill and paying it, like there was some pressure to finish and leave. A server almost cleared my pressed juice which was still about a third full. I would still return.

Our new favorite brunch place!! We'll certainly be back because our mouths were watering at everything on the menu. Today we tried the Portuguese French Toast, which comes with figs, eggs, and crispy pork sausage, as well as the Morrocan Lamb Skillet, which was neatly portioned and reasonably priced. Both were beyond tasty, and I particularly savored the mix of sweet & savory that is usually quite hard to find in a single brunch dish. The decor was intriguing yet cozy, and the service was earnest and laid back - truly a European feel. They said they'll do any kind of coffee, and I believe them! We'll have to return soon and test it out.

Being a vegan I was so excited to see they have several options on their vegan menu for appetizers, entrees and desserts! The food was amazing and the place is adorable. Definitely will be back for more. The food had so much flavor! Wonderful place!

I don’t normally order coffee drinks like this but I’m sure glad I did! So delicious and the food was equally delicious and served so beautifully that no one was allowed to touch theirs until I photographed it. Best part was it as good as it looked!!!

Good service & good food can't be beat. My first meal at Salbuen was absolutely delicious and impressive. We ordered the Portuguese french toast, the almond butter toast, and vegan tacos which were all excellent and highly recommended. We also got the hash but it was only ok and I wouldn't order it again. The hot chocolate is also a must have. It's flavored with fresh chocolate and cinnamon and paired perfectly with my French toast.

Very intimate bistro experience, with small tables , mood lighting and a very eclectic menu where there is something for every palate. Servers are attentive and fun, and atmosphere is laid back with great music...

Beautiful cafe that offers a separate vegan/vegetarian menu. I had checked the menu on their website and was pleasantly surprised in person to find an expanded menu with delightful options. The grilled mushroom and tofu sandwich was amazing, definitely recommend. The cafe had a nice vibe and the staff was friendly, overall a great place for lunch or dinner!

I didn’t try one thing at night that I didn’t like. Really cute vibe inside as well. It’s relaxed but well orchestrated. I will definitely be coming back.

Just thoroughly enjoyed the black bean chorizo burrito and god damn! I just about had an out of body experience. All the ingredients sing in a choir of complex flavor. A serious 10/10. I ate too quickly for a picture so please enjoy a picture of Peach.

Ladies and Gentleman Also Children of all ages our great nation's very first amendment is the freedom of speech. It sickens me to see people make such False, Heinous, outrageous, and outright preposterous accusations about Monclairs FINEST establishment. LE SALBUEN CAFE staffs the finest and most upstanding young men and women. The food is to die for, and in my opinion too cheap, don't be afraid to charge more. Your talents are well worth it, you're Picasso with a cast iron pan. The young handsome man who works in the kitchen and owns this fine establishment is a pure Genius, a Conoiseur, a living legend, it was such an honor to eat his food, and shake his hand. I will never forget my first time eating here.

Excellent place for a Sunday brunch. Lattes were delicious along with the food. This is NOT your typical brunch menu. Very elevated.

Le Salbuen has hands down the best burger in Montclair. It’s perfectly cooked with a slight crisp on the outside and tastes totally homemade with buttery mushrooms, shallots and Gruyère. It’s heaven. The hand cut fries are perfection and nearly everything on the menu is superb. I love the eclectic vibe and always leave so delightfully satisfied.

One of my favorite places to dine is a charming French bistro that has an idyllic atmosphere. The ambiance is very peaceful and calm, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing evening out. The food is simply delicious and their duck platter is definitely a must-try. One of the things I love about this place is that they also offer a variety of vegan options for those who prefer plant-based dishes. All in all, this bistro is a wonderful choice for anyone looking for a great dining experience.

Love it here! Everything on the menu is spectacular! The recipes they come up with are so healthy and incredibly flavorful! I have the vegan patty with curry fries on a bun with avocado and lettuce+tomato. It was sooooo good!!!! We go here whenever we are in town. The value and quality is also five stars!!!
