Homemade pasta, New Jersey’s, award-winning, best lasagna, incredible desserts, of course or homemade what a place This is. Beautiful well flavored well-made reasonably priced Italian food. This is what Italian cafés should be highly highly recommended.

Our favorite restaurant in the area! The vibe is cozy. The food, especially the homemade pastas are so good. If they ever have the cacio e pepe gnocchi special get it. The gnocchi were like little clouds.

Truly wonderful. The staff are so nice and lively and the bread is so warm and fresh. Ordered the arancini, breaded chicken sandwich, and the semifreddo for dessert. Everything was good and dipped the bread in the yummy arancini sauce. The dessert was also perfectly sweet. Oh and the chips that’s come with the sandwich are something else. Will definitely come back!

I didn’t have any food this time around but the place has a great vibe, great music and great coffee. Very well put together.

"Ode to Cafe Giotto"- After a tough week I set out alone for some comfort food. On a rainy spring night I happened across this Church Street gem. With only 12 seats it would be easy to mistake it for a coffee shop. Once inside I was seated at the window to enjoy watching the rain while eating some fantastic soup. I had Lingune w Clams on my mind all day and theirs did not disappoint. Dessert was great, and the service was warm and friendly. Don't overlook this place- good for the soul and the stomach. Made my night!

I’m fairly new to living in Montclair and one thing I struggled to find was a really great sandwich. I have tried a few places and nothing could compare to my hometown Italian deli, that was until today.
Cafè Giotto gets a 9.8 from me, this sandwich was absolutely unreal! The bread was so crispy, the prosciutto was almost melt in your mouth, and the mozzarella tasted homemade.
They also give you the lightest chips I’ve ever had. They have a soft crunch, tasting almost like air, and are not oily at all. They have the perfect amount of salt and were a wonderful accompaniment to the sandwich.
If you’re looking for a great sandwich in Montclair, this place is the place to go. I can’t wait to try more options from here!

I love Cafe Giotto. The food and desserts are SO good, the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. The service is amazing. Heads up- it’s byob , but there’s an awesome wine / beer store like 3 doors down

High quality food with a wide variety on the menu. All of the pasta was extremely fresh. Service was great. It’s a really small place, so if it’s a busy hour, you may need to wait - but our wait was quicker than expected.

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the area. No matter what you get, you won’t be disappointed. The staff is also super friendly. Also try their other store, The Corner in Montclair for breakfast/brunch!

Delicious, authentic Italian food with a tempting variety of daily specials and homemade pastas. Indoor seating is extremely limited so plan to grab one of the 4 or 5 small sidewalk tables in good weather and people-watch while you eat. Complement your meal with a nice selection from nearby Avanti Vino.

Amazing menu. Everything we tried we loved. And definitely save room for dessert. It’s by far one of the best desserts I’ve had in this town.

Amazing food and staff. Unfortunately I’m not a coffee drinker, but the food was really really good. I was able to tell just from looking at the gnocchi pesto that it was only high quality fresh ingredients on the plate. Really flavorful pesto, and the gnocchi was perfection.
Our server recommended we try the panna cotta for dessert. it has a balsamic reduction over the top with fresh sweet berries. I don’t even like whipped cream but this whipped cream is actually good and not out of a can. They don’t skip any steps at all. It’s easy to tell that this place seriously cares about their food, their heritage, and their customers. 5 stars easily. Well done

The café was cozy, inviting and bustling on a cold winter day. For lunch we ordered the pesto with cavatelli pasta and it was out of this world, the pesto is creamy, mild and delicious. The chicken panini was more of a sandwich, it was good but I did expect it to be a warm pressed sandwich, the bread was fresh and delicious. We also ordered the sugar donuts which were spectacular (forgot to take a picture of them!). Overall great and I would go back.

Beautiful attention to detail in this Church Street gem! Felt like a vacation to sit in the window and pop a Lambrusco we grabbed at Amanti Vino. Top notch service and food - the lasagna is a must order and the salted caramel gelato is a definite highlight.

Delicious little cafe, great for lunch. We had the lasagna and one of the panini specials and both were amazing. We will be back soon!

First time experiencing this place & it was amazing . Service was great, Matt took care of us he was lovely and answered all our questions & made great recommendations which we ordered. Joe was also helpful with recommendations . It was great I can’t wait to come back and try something new.

This was my first time to Cafe Giotto AND my first time dining at a restaurant since February. I had the gnocchi and it was delicious 😋 It was so light and the flavor in the bolognese sauce was fantastic. Thank you to our waiter for a great dining experience. I'll be back👍

Lovely lunch, tight quarters. We both had lemonade which was tart just a bit of sweet to it and sandwiches with some of the finest bread we've tasted in a long time. Really a lovely little lunch spot in Montclair.

I’m Italian living close by, an Italian friend suggested to come here. Finally authentic Italian food, unlike most of NJ. The owner Luca came to say hi too, wonderful experience.
