Lockatong Preserve

Great little hike with a stop at a nice little waterfall. The beginning of the trail was muddy due to rain earlier in the week. The trail is also a little overgrown. I recommend bug spray and shoes that you don't mind getting muddy/dirty. Parking is very limited and the gravel/dirt road leading to the parking area has many large potholes. Also, there are no restrooms in the area.

Went in winter. The trail was very muddy so good boots is a must. It’s flat for a while then slopes down as you get the to falls. The Falls are a real gem tucked away in the wilderness. We almost turns back before getting there because of the cold, but I’m very glad we pressed on.

Been there many times and will keep going. The trail is almost a half hour long but is worth the thorns in my side, nettles on my legs,Nats in my eyes, and cobwebs on my head. Careful getting down to the falls it's very steep. Despite the walk 🚶‍♂it's worth it.

Hermoso lugar... hiking para toda la familia.. y al final del trail tienes una hermosa recompensa.. puedes darte un chapuzón en el rio.. lleva una bolsa para que recojas tu basura,( y algunas botellas o basura que gente mal intencionada la tira.). , para que ayudes a que este lugar siga siendo bello.. recuerda la naturaleza te regala sus maravillas, siempre y cuando contribullas tu a que sega siendo asi..)

Beautiful WMA, but the trail is all torn up from illegal ATV and dirt bike use making it really muddy and hard to hike in a lot of spots. The falls are gorgeous and well worth the hike, though.

Good easy hike to waterfall. A bit muddy at the beginning, but manageable with boots or sneakers. Hike is mostly shady, and not very steep, so good for a hot day. The creek and falls were beautiful. No phone reception at the parking lot or anywhere on trail, so check directions before you leave home!

Nice trail but it is sometimes muddy. It also needs a bit more indication for where it actually goes.

Trail is not well marked, so you need to be careful not to get lost and make sure you know how to read blazes. The waterfall is nice sometimes, but it also can be a hangout spot for teenagers as well as the occasional snake. Be warned!

just a lot of mud and bugs! not worth it to trek to the falls! better off going to bushkill falls in PA with all their nice manicured boardwalks!

Not a well marked trail. Missed the falls.

The road is not paved. Just dirt and mud and there were lots of mud holes. Have to be extremely careful, regular sedans not recommended to drive into this place unless you want to get stuck. The trail wasn't marked well so we didn't even bother going the rest of the way.

... but I'm just kidding about the one star. The falls are real nice, especially after a heavy rain, and the area is spectacular, especially in the Fall. Fewer people around helps make the experience more enjoyable.
The foresight and effort of those that make such places available is humbling.

Didn't actually make it to the trail itself, because my car was consumed by a ditch disguised as a puddle in the parking area and got stuck for an hour and a half until a fellow hiker who had a shovel showed up and helped me dig it out. Watch out--there are some GIANT potholes.

Absolute waste of time ! Don’t bother coming here ….. that is unless you wanna get stuck and lost and see some mid sights rather go to Bushkill falls instead!!!

Not worth the trip, trust me.
