One word. AMAZING. Francesco the owner was very welcoming. We ordered the fried calamari, meatballs, braciole Sunday gravy, and penne vodka--ALL delicious and did not disappoint. If you're looking for good Italian food, great atmosphere, great service--this place is all of the above!

We had a wonderful time at O'Sole Mio. The food was delicious. The owner was so welcoming, personable & an amazing chef. The waiter, Sammy, gave great service. The restaurant was clean, quaint & friendly. This was our first time here but not our last. We are leaving with our bellies full & happy hearts! I highly recommend this restaurant.

What is not to like about this place?

I went with my family during a rainy day and started our experience with a nice bowl of soup (chicken, pasta and vegetables) and minestrone. It was delicious.

Then we tried fried calamari (which was perfect) and to top it off we had a nice Margherita pizza, which was exquisite. Even my wife, who is not a big fan of pizza, enjoyed a couple of slices.

Definitely, we will become regulars.

I highly recommend it.

This place is a hidden gem! One would never expect such a fine dining experience when entering this quaint, though unassuming, restaurant. The grilled octopus salad appetizer was fresh and perfectly seasoned, My daughter loved her seafood pescatore and had plenty left to take home and my wife loved her lobster ravioli. I had the grilled swordfish special which came with a portion that was literally as big as my forearm and grilled to perfection. Best version of that dish I’ve ever eaten. Will definitely be visiting this establishment regularly going forward.

The best Italian restaurant in Cranford, NJ. Love the atmosphere outside and the soothing beautiful decor inside. A nice place for a nice dinner with family and friends.The food is always excellent! The servers very knowledgeable and will help you pair your meal with great wine. Their salads and the pastas are to die for. The staff are so friendly yet very professional. The customer service in this place is top notch.

best food, amazing quality, overall wonderful time. vodka sauce was amazing, would 100% get it again, the staff is incredibly helpful and nice, as-well as the owner. love love love!!

We got the mussels, margarita pizza , seafood pasta , and ravioli. All of it tasted great and was served with hot bread. The authentic Italian food is worth the wait. The owner is very nice and attentive wait staff.

Frank, the owner, has outdone himself again with this Father's Day Lobster special. 🦞 Excellent! Is an understatement! All for under $45. Also the pasta underneath perfect!

Met a group of friends for dinner tonight at O Sole Mia, a lot of fun and everything was delicious. The salads were huge, all the portions were. The bronzino was excellent as was the pork chop, both pictured here. Bonus BYO. Too full for desert. We will return!

Cauliflower pizza is the best I’ve ever had, loaded with my favorite toppings. Owner and staff are very accommodating, service is fast. They’re always busy, both eat in and takeout, and food is great, prices are good. (Owner gave every lady a Valentine balloon too :) )

An Italian friend recommended this restaurant to me, so I took my little one and we each had a slice. I’m so glad I did. I feel like this is the restaurant that we needed in our area. Francesco was warm and welcoming, and our pizza was delicious. My little one said it was “super yummy”. Bringing the rest of my family back soon - can’t wait!

New restaurant in town, it had a great atmosphere, nicely decorated for the holidays, and relaxing classical music. The food was tremendous, with very large plates that were well worth the price. Our waiter was attentive and consistent in his services. Overall the staff was very amicable. Will definitely be coming back.

Francesco, the owner, is amazing and welcoming. He went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary restrictions. We had a group of 20 people dining which can be overwhelming but he pulled together a few charcuterie trays for appetizers and made our meal family style.
All the food was amazing and you could tell it was made fresh to order. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This place really had everything I wanted. Family feel, the owner spoke with us multiple times throughout the night, wait staff was caring and personable, food was incredible. It's hard to find places like these in the States. I'll be coming here a lot more often and you should, too. My favorite Italian place in the area. I'd come back just for the people!

We had the most amazing meal here. Homemade Lasagna was like sitting around the table at my family’s house. Veal parmigiana was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Giovanni was amazing he took all the teasing my family gave him. Francisco the owner and chef came out himself and introduced himself and guided us to order his home made lasagna taught to him by his Grandmother. You must visit this restaurant.

We are from Tampa and enjoyed authentic, great tasting food. Here 4 days and ate here twice. Francesco and his staff were absolutely welcoming. Definitely coming here when we visit again!!! The carbonara is my go to for sure.
