This place is good. Food is always good. And portions are great for the money. Service is good, but if you don't speak Spanish, it may be difficult. Not every employee speaks English. Besides that. Great place to get some grub.

Very Good Dominican Food .I like the atmosphere & decor. I felt like I was in DR .I had the stewed chicken which was tender and the black rice with black beans .I also took to go a Dominican dessert made from corn and coconut which I think is an arepa.I liked the texture and taste between the corn and coconut flakes. Solanyi helped me by the counter and suggested the corn coconut dessert. We talked about Dominican Republic and how I loved going there to dance and enjoy the beautiful beaches. When I am in Perth Amboy I will cone back here.Great spot for authentic Dominican food .

Honestly the best DOMINICAN food in Amboy, they have open menu so you know what your getting and the chicken is absolute heaven. I would suggest this to all who want authentic Dominican food & nice staff, they are great people and the owner has a story to tell.

Food is amazing, service is awesome and the prices are reasonable. This place is definitely a go to spot! Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for some good Spanish food.

I love this place! The specific location has a history of nothing lasting there but I hope that they do. I've tried a few different dishes there and they never disappoint. And their prices are also very reasonable. Although there are lots of Dominican restaurants in Perth Amboy I always choose to go to this one because they have the best food

If you are in Perth Amboy and want great Dominican food there is no better place than Paila y Leña. Parking in the back, service is quick and the people are very nice. I love to go for a quick bite to eat and always call for catering all my family events. 10/10 would recommend

The best restaurant in the town.

Came here for a private event in their party room with about 65 people a few weeks ago. They recently renovated the restaurant and it looks amazing. The service was top notch and the waitresses were so tentative to the guests especially with the kids. My only complaint was the food this time. Usually the chicken francaise is very good here but the chicken we got was very rubbery and did not have a lemon flavor to it. It felt that because this was a large party and got family style plates, the food lacked. The penne with vodka sauce was delicious along with the salad. But the main courses, chicken marsala, chicken francaise and eggplant parm were not that good. I absolutey go back because of the service and I felt that the food not being that good was flukey.

Delicious food with good prices! Finally found a place where the chicken soup has chicken breast in it & not meat with bones! I highly recommend you give them a try! My new fav place in Perth Amboy

Very very delicious food. Went there 2 times and ordered a chicken with rice and beans. Always fresh and tasty. They have bathroom too. Lunch deal for chicken was 7$ service is good and pretty fast. Bien bien bien

Place looks sharp clean, excellent service, good food, love the presentation of there house drinks on the aluminum cups. They have parking space on the rear which is always convenient.
