Rose & Kettle Restaurant

Absolutely wonderful. We did have a bit of a hard time talking / hearing due to the amount of people around us. But that's on the customers, not the restaurant. The prices are a bit expensive. That being said...the dinners were absolutely amazing and delicious. We had the arugula salad and the mixed greens salad. We ordered penne carbonara with a sherry sauce that was out of this world. The other dinner was the mushroom ravioli, equally delicious. Not a huge fan of gorgonzola but it was just enough to compliment the other flavors of the dish. We each had a cocktail, pomegranate Cosmo and a dirty martini. Both done to perfection.
The waitress was very knowledgeable and extremely attentive to us. And that was with a packed dining room. All in all, a great night out. Delicious food and great service. Parking was across street, short walk away. Front entry had a few small steps but also a ramp for wheelchair access. If looking for a quaint place with good food, def give this one a try.

This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant with exquisite food! It's family run so all the wait staff are a joy to speak to. My mom and I ordered the arugula salad, baby back ribs special and the salmon special. I only have a picture of the baby back ribs special because the instant the food is set down you can't help but dig in until it's gone!

I can assure you the plates were clear of all food by the time we were done. We will come again and bring many more people with us!

A great place for a celebration! Delicious drinks (they made a mocktail for me that was superb), and scrumptious food. They have a fairly small standard menu with hearty dishes and fun specials. The appetizers are fairly sizeable, perfect for sharing or eating as a meal. The atmosphere is perfect for an intamate date or a gathering of friends.

Awesome surprise while passing through. Tastefully decorated dining rooms with plenty of space between tables. Very nice but not stuffy or pretentious. Classy. The food was like something from Chef’s Table. I had the Salmon special and was delighted with the flavors. Very generous portions too. The wait staff was very professional and charming. If we lived locally, we’d patronize this weekly. It is a hidden diamond.

Came here for a birthday dinner and the food, service, and ambiance was absolutely wonderful. We each ordered a different dish, appetizers, and desserts and every bite was delicious. Our server Jac was the cherry on top. If your passing through town definitely grab a bite here

Beautiful dinner. The atmosphere was wonderful, comfortable, and cozy. Jac was our server and was so so marvelous! Every single bit of food we ate was divine. We ordered the Tuna Au Poivre, the steak Au Poivre, the paella, the Thai duck salad, the carbonara, the baked Brie, and 2 delicious desserts. Incredibly delightful. Full of flavor. The tuna melted in my mouth and the steak was **perfect**. The peppercorn sauce is still blowing my mind a day later.

My favorite is the Risotto! I am not vegan but this dish is beyond heaven!
I have eaten there for years and the high quality is consistent.

So incredibly delicious! My favorite place to eat in upstate NY. Always a good vibe, music & cocktails but the food is hands down, incredible. Always yummy specials available but their consistent menu lives strong . I adore the crab cakes & mussels. The salmon, chicken and meatloaf are so good and really nice portions. Honestly you can’t go wrong with any dish. Bon Appetite!

Went to the "R&K" for dinner last night and had a great experience, as usual!
I'll start with the food. Lamb, medium rare, with a fruity balsamic drizzle on a fresh salad- perfect. Fresh salad with carmelized onions and blue cheese- the flavors are incredibly balanced. Usually I have a house cocktail, which are always great, but last night I just had a fabulous Malbec to go with the lamb.
My partner must have been happy too because it got pretty quiet when we were eating...
The other great draw is that it's the type of restaurant where you feel like you are in the community and with friends. It can't be overstated, especially in current times, how much happiness that brings. And not just the customers, but the staff and the owner all make the R&K a very special restaurant in a very special town.

Excellent food and a bucolic setting lends itself well to either an intimate date night or a large group setting. I'd recommend calling in a reservation for the peak nights and coming hungry! Great wine and cocktail list and always delicious entrees. Expensive but worth every penny!

We just had an absolutely wonderful meal at this tucked-away restaurant. The service was professional and friendly, and the food was delicious and not skimpy little potions as we had at another restaurant in a nearby town last night. We will definitely make a point of stopping by here when we are in the area.

A wonderful restaurant with top notch food. My boyfriend and I found this place on a whim and it did not disappoint. Friendly atmosphere and great staff. The risotto is the go-to!

Everything was a pleasure, from the solid beer, wine, and cocktail selections, followed with a great appetizer and dinner. Thursday nights are my favorite time to go, they have live music, and plenty of talented musicians who play throughout the spring fall and winter.

I used to work there, long before Matt bought it, but it's still, if not more, amazing as ever.
Everything is made with care. Don't expect to run in and out quickly, you can, but it's best if you sit and stay.
Live music on several nights, but a vibrant spot every night.
It is of the beaten trail, but overwhelming worth it.

Always amazing food that continues to excite the palate with such subtle flavor complexities. On top of that the people truly take there job seriously and are on top of their game, the service is impeccable. This place is a gem, I just wish it were closer.

We love this place! We've dined all over the world and this little gem is in our very own backyard. The food is always prepared fabulously and the service is FLAWLESS! Thursday nights are not to be missed!
