This was a fun monster walk through. You get a lantern to walk through and there are a few animatronic surprises throughout. Not too scary my 6 year old had a bit of a fright but my 9 year old thought it was cool.

Amazing!!! This was the best attraction in Salem. Killer attention to detail, so much eye candy to see… if you’re a horror/haunted house fan this is a must see. Also visit the Witch Mansion right across the mall from it you will not be disappointed!! Thank you for bringing this to the fans of Salem.

Really awesome museum! A great compliment to Count Orlok's as they focus on mythical monsters and not just movie ones. They have a really fun gimmick where they give you a lantern and turn the lights down so you have to use it to light the signs. Also some fun Easter eggs for horror fans (they have Peter Cushing's Dr. Frankenstein, which I loved). Just be aware if you have little ones there are some jump scares, but they're not too intense. I recommend doing a combo with Witch Mansion haunted house.

I really enjoyed it with our little family. We see the monsters, we're told their stories, how they act. It's a perfect Halloween activity, and I recommend it.

Loved this!!!!! Went with my husband a few days ago and it was so fun! We were given little lanterns to walk around with which was a cute touch. The characters are mainly different horror figures/monsters rather than the common ones you see. We’re from New Jersey, so it was a cool thing to see something about the jersey devil! Very different! There are some jump scares, which kept it exciting and loved that we got to take pics! At the end, the owner talked to us and said he’s planning to grow more in the future, which makes me excited to come back! Also enjoyed that the owner talked to people and asked what they thought, it was nice to see! It could be a short experience, but with taking pics and reading everything it will be longer

It was self paced and you are allowed to talk photos. The figures were very realistic and provided a description about the creature.

- didn't expect this place to be as cool as it was. Nice props and even had a few jump scares that I didn't expect.

- tickets $15 per person or bundle the museum and haunted house for just a few dollars more.

- staff were cool and friendly.

- self guided tour.

- wasn't busy on the week day.

- location is inside the witch city mall.

- overall worth checking out if you're visiting Salem, especially if you have kids and they like this kind of stuff.

We love haunted houses and scary walk-throughs so much, our son even runs one to benefit the local children’s hospital - so he picked this one for our trip. The attention to detail at this atttaction is incredible, and he got some great ideas for our next event. The staff was very kind and welcoming, as well as enthusiastic and knowledgeable. This was an excellent mix of thrills and education.

Loved all of the classic and modern horror references in here! The animatronics are effectively well-timed and have got to be one of the best I’ve ever seen for a walk-in attraction. The amount of artistic detail put into this museum is very suitable for its place in the heart of Salem, MA. Also shout out to the realistic-looking Rob Zombie prop, that was dope.

This place exceeded my expectations. It was the best interactive museum I have ever been to! As a photosensitive person, I am so happy that they are free from strobes (unlike almost every haunted house/haunted museum). The exhibits are awesome and the signs with each monsters origin is really cool. The lanterns you use to guide your way through the tour add the perfect amount of spookiness. It blew Count Orlok’s nightmare gallery out of the water. 10/10 I definitely recommend if you’re in town.

Normally I prefer to just leave only a star rating for google reviews. But I like this place enough to write a quick one.

Very cool place, I feel like this is probably an underrated spot in the area.
The monster models are menacing and full of detail. They give you a lantern which you need to traverse the dark halls and to read the text and inspect the details of the monsters.
...Which may or may not suddenly spring to life!!

I really liked how the catalogue of monsters is relevant and fresh. With new popular modern monsters that felt completely respected as new staples of horror. As well as the classic ones of yore.

I wish there was just one more extra room to explore, as it felt just one room short for me personally. But all in all I felt like it was totally worth my money. Very enjoyable experience.
Just make sure you take your time and enjoy the monsters, text on the walls and the atmosphere. It's a museum afterall, not a scare house. (though scares are always welcome in a monster museum!)

Went with my wife recently and we had a great time. Filled with monsters from folk lore and a handful from movies. ONE OF THE ONLY PLACES IN SALEM THAT LET YOU TAKE PICTURES SO BE THANKFUL! A couple of jump scares but read the plaques that are by every monster and those will make the experience even longer. Talked with the owner a bit after we finished up and he mentioned that they will be adding more so hopefully the next time we visit we’ll get to see more!

This was amazing! You get a lantern and get to explore so many amazing sculptures/animatronics and I was impressed with the audio design as you walk through. If you are second guessing, don’t! It is so much fun!

I traveled over 900 miles from Atlanta Georgia with my family to visit this place and it was the most unique and fascinating spot in Salem! The monsters are so well made my kids thought they were really gonna grab them! Had an amazing time here and will return next time to see the new monster exhibits!

We decided to visit on Thanksgiving weekend and had an absolute blast.  The combination of folklore and classic monsters was very cool. We never expected to see Mothman. They give your group a lantern which helps you read all the info inside. The perfect way to end our day in Salem.

Loved! A great combination of horror, mythology, folklore & monsters.
A great self-guided tour with well done animatronics and lifelike props.
Each group is given a lantern to read all about the history of the monsters.
I found the tour to be suitable for all ages. Not too scary, as my four year old nephew had a blast!
The woman working the front desk, Alison, was kind and informative. She informed us we were able to take photos and encouraged us to take our time on the tour and read through the attraction details.
This was probably my favorite self guided tour in Salem (:
10/10 will definitely be back!

Me and my friends had a really good time going through it. They feature mostly monsters/legends with some fun scares thrown in. They give you a lantern to navigate which is a nice touch.
