Everything was spot on! Appreciated the confirmation of our visit the day before and being asked if we needed anything. The room was very clean and like new. Everyone we came in contact with were very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, we don't see much of that nowadays. The brewery was bright and clean and the staff Enjoyed the music and the view from our room and at the brewery. Unexpected bonus was a beer pour at time of check in and a delicious breakfast. Definitely will be back!

We rented the Farmhouse for my husband’s birthday weekend and everything was perfect! Heidi at the Lodge was super helpful in making sure we had everything we needed upon arrival. The house was spacious and clean, and being able to walk right to the brewery was super convenient. We’ll definitely be back!

Am I in heaven? We needed a night away from stress. From the moment we pulled in the view is breath taking. The location perfect. The room was clean and smelled great. The restaurant and lodge staff was very polite and attentive. They set up our room before we came, so when we walked in, it felt like we were walking into a private paradise. The overall atmosphere of the place was comfortable and charming.

We frequently visit the wineries because the selection in PA is limited and fell in love with all the FLX has to offer. We first discovered Grist Iron Brewery and appreciate its dog friendly atmosphere, friendliness and delicious fare. Happy to learn the Lodge has pet friendly rooms, we booked an overnight stay which was thoroughly enjoyable. The room was clean with ample space and the shower was awesome. We’ll definitely be back, hopefully with friends for another great experience.

We loved our stay and Grist Iron and plan to return! We decided to stay here because it was so close to the state parks and looked like a great place. We were right! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The room was very clean and spacious and had nice touches, including a mini fridge filled with their own beer, soda, water, and snacks, all reasonably priced. You receive tokens for a free beverage of choice, either a draft beer right there at check-in, or down at the brewery which is only a short walk away. They provide a wonderful continental breakfast in the morning that is above the standard. They even had gluten-free bread and a separate toaster for those like myself needing gluten-free options. That never happens when I travel. The view is wonderful from both the lodge and the brewery. The food is all great. And, again, plenty of gluten-free options there too. In addition to all of that, we added on the cheese board for when we arrived knowing that we’d be hungry after a long drive in. It was perfect and delicious. We highly recommend staying at Grist Iron, it doesn’t disappoint!

Beautiful setting and great theme for the rooms. We stumbled upon the lodge and just loved it. We met up with friends from Rochester who came for dinner. Very pet friendly, clean and comfortable place. Large comfortable rooms! Greeted with a pint and a smile. 💕

Wonderful from check in to check out. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Room was spacious and well appointed with basic needs plus great marketing including fridge with beer, water and snacks for purchase. Bed was very comfortable and shower was very powerful. Continental breakfast had more than just your standard cold cereal and muffins but had eggs, waffles, sausage, bagels, fresh fruit ect. Views were beautiful and I bet would be even more stunning if it wasn’t raining. The on site brewery and cafe was very convenient and delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful trip. It is located conveniently among the wineries and other Finger Lake attractions. We stayed three nights in the Lodge which was clean, roomy, comfortable. We had a fridge in our room, but also shared microwave, coffee, and instant hot water in shared area. We were pleasantly surprised with fresh berries at breakfast, along wirh normal breakfast fare. The views are lovely. We found ourselves eating two meals and enjoying beverages only a third time at the Brewery. Food and beer tasty, but if you want a variety, they do have local wine and cider. EVERYONE was super friendly, from check in to breakfast staff to the Brewery staff. They even offered us another drink when we knew the Brewery was closing. (We did not keep them late, but did return the next day.) We also were able to catch live music. We will be back and will tell our friends.

We are frequents of the lake and Grist but we ran into a decent winter storm this past weekend. The staff were super accommodating both at the brewery and the lodge. They provided us a safe place to stay so we did not need to drive in it. Forever appreciative and can’t wait to visit again!

Hello,
My husband and i stayed her for one night for a mini Anniversary getaway. Location was perfect and adorable rooms and the brewery was fantastic. The only reason i’d give it a 4/5 was a sulfur smell coming from the bathroom the morning we checked out. Other than that amazing place!

Everything about our stay was 5 star! The accommodations are so clean and well appointed, the view of Seneca Lake is idyllic, and the staff are all so kind!

We opted for the date night in package--very much recommend! The local charcuterie and wine was delicious.

The breakfast exceeded what I expected out of an included continental breakfast. There were several hot options including eggs, waffles, sausage. Plus gluten free bread!

When we return to the FLX region, we will definitely stay here.

Great place to stay! Staff was super accommodating. We had a question about a refund on our bill and they took care of it right away via text. Lounge area is open all night with a fireplace and snacks. They also keep stocked with towels, ice and firewood for the outback firepit. Brewery was great. Live music, good beer and the BBQ was the best I've ever had. Hands down!

Overall had a fantastic experience here. Was a bit hesitant at first due to the fact that it’s dog friendly cause usually that means it’s not as clean. We were very happy with the cleanliness and room came full stocked with their beers. Location is great, close to watkin glen and a bunch of wineries. The breakfast was super solid and they have a restaurant on location which was decent for dinner. We took advantage of the fire pit on premise, and that was great. Would come back.

We had a fantasic experience here. The brewery was a lot of fun and had great food and beer. We were greeted at The Lodge for our checkin with a complementary beer on tap, pint glasses for us to keep and free drink chips to use at the brewery later on. The room was fantastic and the bed comfortable. The hot breakfast the next morning was also wonderful. We will be back.

I had to get out of state because I was going through some stuff and I had a friend who had mentioned Watkins Glen New York to me for the wonderful trails and beautiful waterfalls so I decided to just spring for a trip 4 hours North from where I'm at, I didn't have any real plans I kind of just was winging it, looking for a hotel to stay the night so I could go back out and browse the trails some more in the morning before going home, stumbled upon this place right away.

I could have saved maybe half the money by staying in another hotel but what really caught my eye was the 4.9 star rating on Google with a decent amount of reviews to me means it's must be something really special, and then the view is just UNBELIEVABLE, you can't ask for much more. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely come back if I return.

We just had a brief 2 night stay at the lodge and I can tell you that we will absolutely be going back!
We originally booked with them because they had dog friendly rooms; we ended up having to reschedule our first stay because our dog was diagnosed with lung cancer. Upon check in, the staff remembered me and asked how our dog was. All of the staff there was beyond friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice, clean and the amenities are great. It’s obvious there was a lot of thought into the property.
The location is fantastic! And so are the views.

We were in the area visiting my daughter at SUNY Cortland and decided to explore the Finger Lakes region for the day. I found Grist Iron Brewery and Lodge on a Google search so I was a little nervous but after reading the reviews went ahead and booked 1 night. We loved it! As many of the reviews state I would have loved to stay more than one night. I thought fall foliage/leaf peeping was the busy season but apparently not. We caught the last Wednesday the brewery was open so check your days. It was so convenient to not have to drive anywhere else and just walk across the property for food and beverages. Will definitely be back!
Views, fire pit, friendliness. Loved it all.

I booked this trip for my significant others birthday and they went above and beyond to make it special. We arrived in our room to a bucket filled with goodies, balloons, and a card. Everyone was super friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend staying and experiencing Grist Iron Brewery!!

Great place to stay for a Finger Lakes getaway! They are super dog friendly, and you can't beat the sunsets! The room was modern, clean, and comfortable. And the brewery onsite is perfect for a meal/snack and drinks. We even took advantage of the onsite walking trail! Telling everyone we know about Grist Iron and we will definitely be back!
