Restoration at Hillside

This is an AMAZING church with wonderful people! It's one of the few churches I've been to where the people are HAPPY you are there. There really are no judgmental eyes, and the staff is so helpful. Pastor Terry is really one of the best I've listened to preach the word. They really want you to come as you are. Thanks for making my family and I really feel like family!

I'm partial.. Hillside is my home church. The people are so friendly and our pastor is dedicated to the Lord.

Helping people find and follow Jesus. Everyone is welcomed with open arms, i love seeing same and new faces week after week while learning how to follow Jesus. Sermons are great, music rocks, but its the people that makes this place a great church to be a part of!

Being back in my old Hillside room working on the lessons at this old desk after almost a year away has been so emotional for me. I've been reminded so clearly about what REALLY matters. The room and church may look very different from when I moved a year ago but the feeling of love and the spirit here is stronger than ever. God is changing lives and people for the better in Springfield, right here, right now, on His time, not ours. So much growth and change is happening here every day it's amazing to see. In just the few short weeks I've been back over summer vacation I've seen God working in so many ways here. All the new families that have made Hillside their home church, all the outreach and service opportunities 🙌 hearing testimonies of real struggle and how God is changing lives on a weekly basis, Seeing the kids faces light up during Kids church and knowing they're soaking in scripture and the holy spirit 😭🙌 seeing so many teens and kids and adults from every walk of life learn how to look up and read scripture for the first time. watching people not only come to Christ but to stay and GROW in him as well. Seeing how much all the kids from my old class have grown in their faith. Seeing the teens who used to be in youth group grown up and now they're writing their own sermons and preaching during a service 😭🙌 just all of it.
It's been such an amazing reminder of the fact this is what ministry is All about. This is the real calling. helping people find AND follow Jesus. Seeing lives changed now AND for eternity 🙌 all of my earthly struggles are put into perspective by watching God work.
Seeing All my church family again who are so authenticity happy to see me and the kids. who love us unconditionally and wo any harsh judgements. A place where you can truly be yourself, lay down your burdens and find support, spiritual guidance and love with no fear of judgment, embarrassment, rejection or gossip. All the hugs and happy tears on my first days back. People running to great us and hug us. Feeling cared about, appreciated, the unconditional love of God flowing through his people and most importantly (for every person) being encouraged and mentored in my own personal walk with Christ and ministry. It's been so life giving to be back in ministry and at Hillside and with my Church family for the last few weeks. Like a balm for the soul. I can't believe I used to take it for granted... Idk how I would get through life's struggles without God and His Church of people who care so deeply for each other. This is what people need. This is what it's all about. We are not meant to do this on our own. We are meant to live in community with Christ and each other. We are not meant to do this our way but God's way. We are not meant to control the church but let the SPIRIT lead it for his missions. The Church was not meant to stagnate and die in man-made traditions and denominations but flourish in the Lord's will and commission ❤
Pastor Terry is absolutely right when he says "there is healing in serving The Lord" 🙌 I've missed ministry and my church family so much. GOD IS SO GOOD!

My wife and I have been attending Restoration for about 6 weeks now. While the music is a little loud for our tastes, the messages have been very good.

Awesome to understand! Pastor preaches the word. His enthusiasm is infectious.
