Love, love, love this bookstore! 📖 From new to vintage books, they sell very interesting kinds of books. And the cat is so friendly!

Love this store! We visit every time we go to Yellow Springs! Definitely a must see. Fun place. Friendly employees. And we can't forget about the cat. The cat is very friendly and a fixture.

Picked up a Phantom of the Opera print, and got some Spooky pets in. This place has so many things that I wanted to come back and get. We'll definitely be stopping back through when we have more time.

This is my favorite bookstore anywhere! They have new and used books, comics books, coloring books, games, buttons, stickers, puzzles, cards, and so much more! I love looking through all the treasures. The employees are super friendly and so is the store Kitty, Spooky! The bookstore is a fixture in Yellow Springs and a must-see.

We shop there every time we visit Ohio from Florida. When we’re home, we shop their eBay and Facebook 😄

Enjoyed this place. Small, well curated selection of new books. And the used ones are classics with some vintage books thrown in. T shirts with kids' lit illustrations. Scooby Doo gumballs. Pokemon stickers. Fun vinyl stickers for adults ("Give Bees A Chance"), lots of stuff for kids. You could browse here for hours. I will be back.

Very friendly and helpful! Definitely stop by! This bookstore had some nice gems that had me feel so nostalgic! They got a good selection of comics too! And I got to meet the cat celebrity themselves!

Super cute place with a great selection of books, journals, pocket watches, etc. Bonus: they have a real black cat that "works" at the store.

I am in love with this little book store and its cats!!! Dark Star Books has a long history in Yellow Springs and its owners and workers are fantastic people who really care about their community. In addition to rare older books, you can also find comics, the latest fandom merch, and a plethora of small gifts. I have been in this store a dozen times and have always found something to interest me. (Thank you for stocking rare Anne Mccaffrey books, DSB!)

A great place to find a going variety of books from vintage to new and in-between. Now is it the most up to date building no but they make up for it by providing a very good variety at a good price.

We loved it there - and we will definitely be back. The people working there were very nice to my son. Awesome selection of books. Plus, we got to meet Spooky the cat, which was certainly a highlight!

A great place to find comics, books, games, and more for the discerning geek. Come and browse for hours. Also consider selling some of your own collection for store credit, if you have stuff you've grown tired of.

Incredible unique books and more

Listen, you can’t go to Yellow Springs and not stop in. I usually stop in for comics which they have a great selection of back issues. However, the rest of the store is great. Lots of neat finds. And the staff are very friendly…as is Spooky. I make the extra drive from Columbus just to go here.

Definitely could have spent a lot more time poking around in here and unearthing more treasures. Wide variety of books new and old. Good comic selection. And adorable kitty

This is the best little bookstore around. I've been coming here for 35 years or more. Super friendly staff, humongous collection of books and a friendly fat black cat to pet.
