My husband and I spent a few hours here today. It was really awesome loved all the history that we got to see. It was awesome to see the glass blowing place in action... will have to go there again to make our own special thing... took home a purple and blue pumpkin... awesome day!

My family had a great time. There was lots for kids to do and plenty of interesting things to see. Well worth the cost of the membership.

Took my 6 year old grandson. We loved the planetarium. There was so many activities to do. We built and raced our own cars. I will go back sometime to attend the glass blowing class.

I chaperoned a wonderful 4th grade field trip to The Works, excellent hands-on museum. The kids especially enjoyed going in the train car, building and racing cars, and playing in the bank/shop area. Museum volunteers were so friendly and informative, exhibits were clean and well-maintained, I was impressed!

Great for kids and does a great job of displaying the local history of industry. There’s mini town for kids to pretend. Science exhibits. Arts and crafts. A live glass blowing studio.

Great interactive experience for children and adults. Edutainment for everyone with a museum, glass blowing, and planetarium which is coming summer 2018.

I was concerned that there wouldn't be enough for my grandson who is just under 2 to do, but he had a ball. The price was much more reasonable that the big city science museums. Everything looked clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

What a cool place! They have a science museum for kids up front, and a glassblowing facility in the back. Also a nice gift shop with creations made by workers and volunteers.

We came to take a glass fusing session, which was very reasonably priced. They were well organized and provided everything we needed for the project, including cutters, tweezers, bowls, sharpies, etc. The volunteers were very helpful and knew what they were doing, very warm and friendly and chatty, too (but not too much to be distracting).

The whole atmosphere was fascinating - they blew glass while we were there, and all the scraps and shards go into the bowls from which you can pick your pieces for your project, so nothing is wasted. Plus they have pieces on display, and so many impressive ones that make us go, "WOW!"

A gem of a place. We will definitely be back for more glass projects!!

This place was SO COOL! I spent several years in Newark as a child in the 90s and boy do I wish we'd had this place back then. I absolutely loved the little historical village. My kids adored the planetarium and the train car outside. They had something for everyone here. Little engineers, biologists, historians, etc. I'm a little sad my kids are quickly growing too old for this, because I don't know that we'll ever have a chance to return.

We absolutely love The Works! The center itself is wonderful and has so much to do for every age, but they also offer a lot of great extra events for kids. I highly recommend a membership.

Birthday party rates are very reasonable as well.

This is a great gem in our community. There's so much educational content here and our kids have learned a lot at The Works and always have a blast.

Customer service has always been fantastic!

Today was Dozers & Diggers day with dozens of heavy equipment trucks, power shovels, lifts, and more. It was a kid's paradise, and an adult's too! I just need my hearing to recover from all the horn honking and sirens 🚒🚛

Visited The Works the other day with my daughter and granddaughter and had the best time. I hadn't been there in years and was surprised at how much they have to offer. My granddaughter enjoyed the toddlers area so much, she has not stopped telling everyone she knows about it. The big surprise was the planetarium. I thought she was too young to enjoy it until one of the workers told me they had a special Sesame Street show. The worker even did our show earlier than the scheduled one to be helpful. We all enjoyed the show so much! The Works is a true asset to Licking County!

Really neat place to explore and learn. I especially enjoy the amount of history the have from the local area. Whether you are bringing your kids or getting away for a dated you cannot go wrong with coming here! The exits are well made and there are plenty of hands on activities even for the youngest explorers. Very proud to have this in Licking County!

We arrived just in time to catch the Planetarium show on Black Holes. Our 8 and 10 year old grandsons loved it, as did we. Then on to the hands-on science exhibits and the local history exhibit. The boys enjoyed the science, skimmed the history. Next was an awesome glass blowing demo, again with rave reviews. Outside to the trolley exhibit and garden. More fun there. A little shopping, then a short walk to the town square for lunch. Wonderful place, great price, our 10 year old called it COSI Lite.
