Overlook Restaurant - Virtues Golf Club Restaurant

I had the three egg omelet with diced ham , bacon and cheese. It was served with sourdough bread and a side of home fries. I had vanilla bean ice cream with strawberry topping for dessert. The food was delicious. The staff was great and it was clean in the restaurant. I had a great view of the golf course as well.

Our family, 9 of us, were pleased to visit Overlook December 20, 2023 for their specials of Filet or Shrimp. We were celebrating our daughter's birthday. We must applaud the chef for the best filets we've ever ever had, seriously. Others had the Shrimp, Chicken Wrap, Ribeye, Pork chop, and Pasta Alfredo. All loved their meals. The waiter, young man, was very attentive and willingly engaged. We will return to Overlook often. We don't understand why Overlook isn't crowded every night but it is a distance from town... but it's worth it to visit there.

Went to the Overlook for the fish and chips meal. It was very good and reasonably priced for the amount of food we got. Our server was friendly, but I think she was a little over worked, evidently the crowd was bigger than what was anticipated. We all left with our bellies full, (and miserable) 😆

Highly recommend the crab cakes. Food was delicious. I started with a whiskey sour, my husband took one sip and ordered one for himself! Without a doubt, the best whiskey sour I have ever had!! The bartender took the time to do it right. Fruit and sugar rimmed. I think the manager was making them. They got pretty busy and I saw her bartend, seat people, bring water, drinks, helped serve food, did checks on quality of food. Did the best job of supporting her staff imaginable. She had 2 employees at the front of house that did an amazing job, but she never stopped moving. Anything needing done, she had no problem jumping in and making sure it happened. Very impressed. Will be back

Such a pretty view!! The food was delicious and service was great. We had the BBQ meatloaf sandwich which was sooo good!

Wow, what a hidden gem The Overlook restaurant is! We had great service and delicious food with a beautiful view of the golf course and sunset. Large portions for a reasonable price. Highly recommended pretzel bites and french dip! Beer was also ice cold!

Such a BEAUTIFUL place to eat. Views are gorgeous. Sitting on the terrace is recommended. You can watch golfers come up the last hole, but they are still at a nice distance away. Very peaceful.

We went there for a wedding reception.
It was definitely top notch.
It was stunning and staff were very professional.

First time visit and was very enjoyable. I was not expecting a lodge. Because it is not the height of gulf season we did not need a reservation, even though we called in advance, and it was not busy. A great quiet dinner. Need to go back during daylight to enjoy the view. Food was really good as well. Considering having my New Year's Dinner there for my employees.

The new ownership is exactly what Virtues (Longaberger) needed. The food is great, the staff is well trained and friendly, and the golf course is breathtaking...

Loved it! The menu and the food was outstanding - perfectly prepared. And our waiter, Spenser (correct spelling!), was the best. He took exceptional care of us - even helping us to move to a very special table overlooking the grounds for our anniversary.

Enjoyed birthday dinner with my large family on the patio. The food was delicious and the view was beautiful.

The staff is wonderful, and the food is amazing. It’s the best place around. The atmosphere is fantastic, it is so comfortable to sit down and relax, it usually very quiet and peaceful. You look out over the golf course and can see amazing sunsets. The steak is always perfect, and there are plenty of delicious affordable options as well. I’ve never had a bad meal there, and I’ve been there several times. You really can’t beat it.

Dinner tonight was very good, service was also very good, the place is beautiful, and the view is AMAZING!!! The name is very fitting!!!

Excellent food. Not a large menu but the food was amazing! Excellent service too. Definitely going back. Not really a good place to take kids unless you plan to purchase an adult dinner for them.

My wife had the French Dip and I had their Cheeseburger. Both sandwiches were cooked to perfection and delicious. Would highly recommend each. Decor is wonderful and the view of the golf course is beautiful. Our waitress was extremely friendly and courteous. Patti, Vitues Manager, visited our table and we learned important facts about the history of the golf course. She was very knowledgeable in all aspects of the establishment. We will be back!!!
