Wonderful, timely, friendly service even while busy, they was more than will to accommodate us with seating being full the out door /heated patio was open and plenty of fresh air and space available, we had drinks while waiting for the the kitchen to get caught up. Was well worth the wait, huge compliments to the chef's. The food was hot, cooked right and temperature along with flavor spot on. Little pricey but I get plenty we had to take to go boxes. Will definitely be going back for a great close to home restaurant. Plenty on menu to try.

Yum! Spinach, candied sweet potato, bacon, cranberry, crumbled goat cheese salad with honey shallot vinegrette. So, light and fresh, yet filling. Warm soft pretzels are a great to share appetizer. Great service. Had a warm and cozy, leisurely meal by the fireplace.

Great food! I had the "pork and peaches" special. Wow! was it ever good. Our waitress was really knowledge and nice.

Visited for the first time a few weeks ago for brunch and we had a party of 8. Everything was really good & we loved the outdoor patio.
My only complaint would be that the sandwich I ordered did not come as stated on the menu. I ordered the Praise the Swine and ordered an over medium egg with mustard on the side. The sandwich came without both those items however it was so good that I didn't even notice the missing egg until after I had eaten it 😅. Everyone else said their food was good & our server was amazing!

We had a great experience here! Our server was attentive, funny, but not too pushy. The food was phenomenal - I ordered the filet tips and they were cooked to perfection. Menu items are more intricate than your typical restaurant and you can tell a lot of effort goes into the presentation of the food. Menu prices were reasonable as well. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

This is the best restaurant in 20 miles, worth the drive! I’ve never had a bad meal! When I’m being healthy I get the French onion soup (no croutons) and the strawberry salad, no candied pecans….. when I’m not being healthy, I get the pretzel and the burger. Literally, Every single thing here is great,

I stop in every week. Consistently good food and a pleasant atmosphere. Had the steak last night and it earned 5 stars.

This place was a very pleasant surprise! Everything we ordered was delicious! I can’t recommend the fried cheese app enough! The Cuban and sauerkraut were also fantastic! Tip: take the pickle off of the Cuban and replace it with the sauerkraut! I🙌

Great place well worth the visit. Had a great bluberry bbq chicken dinner, with mac and cheese.

First time here. Tried pizza special 2 for $25.

Awesome atmosphere and literally the best food I've ever had. I had the ceasar side salad and the blueberry grilled chicken. I think I annoyed my family with my constant comments of how amazing every bite was. Our server was also perfect and we got our food quickly.

We ate here for dinner for the first time, and what a refreshing experience! The food was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and exactly what the menu stated. We had wood fired pizza, blackened filet tips, and veal schnitzel for entrees, and we were all extremely satisfied! Gonna be back for sure…Well Done! 😃

Have always loved this place for dinner or lunch date but tonight took kids to burger night! What a value and excellent service too

This evening was our first time at Donnies Tavern. It will not be our last! Our server Paige was superb! The walleye and sauerkraut were delicious. I had the Woodford Cherry Smash, it was so good that I had to have another. We took dessert to go and I'm looking forward to the Candy Apple Cheesecake.

The live entertainment was a nice touch.

Amazing food!!! My wife and I had 2 of the best meals we have eaten in years. Great drinks and atmosphere. Friendly staff. We will be back again very soon even though it's more than 30 mins away.

My husband and I ate here tonight with my parents and our 5 year old son. We had a reservation and were seated right away upon arrival. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. When my father asked if the beer battered walleye could be prepared any other way he was given the option of baked, grilled or broiled, he chose grilled and said it was excellent. My mom got the beer battered walleye and said it was also delicious. I ordered the blackened beef filet tips and WOW. Just wow. Amazing, so good. It was served with goat cheese mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus and I ate every single bite. My husband ordered the farmhouse burger and it was huge! He said it was wonderful. We got the Mac and cheese for my son, and he said it was good. Overall we were very impressed and will definitely be back!

I ran by to grab lunch the other day after having heard great things from friends and co-workers. I had ordered their brussel sprouts and the walleye sandwich. The brussel sprouts were a large portion and had fantastic flavor. The walleye sandwich was incredible too. I was blown away! Fantastic place!

This place was amazing! We sat on the patio where there was live music! We ordered the fried deviled eggs and the crab fritters as an appetizer and both were delicious! We ordered the sweet potato salad which was very fresh! For our entrées we ordered the Buccatini pasta and the New York Strip that was cooked perfectly! We ended with the banana cheesecake which was the best cheesecake I've had! Service was good and the owners checked on us to make sure everything was great! I highly recommend Donnie's Tavern! You won't be disappointed!
