Very caring staff, my dog became very ill and they were able to see him the same day. After learning the severity of the disease the vet was very professional and yet compassionate when the time finally came for him to cross the rainbow bridge. She even sent a hand written card expressing her condolences. Thank you, Dr. Jodi H. and staff.

We are new to this office, and so far we are very pleased with it. The staff is so wonderful , we got some not so good news on our dog and the staff was so compassionate and took the time to explain everything to us, not to mention the office is one of the cleanest I've ever been in.

My little gentleman had never been to the vet before so he went in for a wellness check and to have an abscess checked. From making the appointment to the time we left, everyone I spoke to or interacted with was kind and helpful. I felt everything was reasonably priced and that everything I would be charged for was explained well. My boy isn’t a huge fan of being away from mama, but he was such a good boy for Dr. Houser, which assures me he felt safe while I waited for him out in the car. COVID curbside appointments aren’t ideal, but this fur mama felt her boy was in good hands every minute he was away. I definitely recommend Newark Veterinary Hospital!

Dr. Houser is the absolute best. She has the perfect combination of empathy and delivering news in a straight forward manner. Her genuineness sets her apart.
The entire staff goes above and beyond. We feel incredibly blessed, and it gives us peace of mind to know top notch care is only 10 minutes away!

My husband and I had a 12 year old German shepherd, on Christmas day his back legs gave out, and our regular veterinarian office wasnt open the rest of the week, we had to get him put down. We called Newark Vet. Hospital and told them our situation, and they welcomed us into their office, and were so caring, and empathetic. This was one of the hardest thing my husband and I have had to do. And the staff was awesome, I cannot thank you enough for the gentle way you treated our best friend.

When you have fur babies that are literally your family and you would do anything for them you would turn the world over to find them the best doctors for them when they are need wouldn't you?

My baby Kreiger came to me one day when he was a kitten dragging his back leg, the best we can figure out is that his flying down the stairs like a superman went horrible for him. The first vet I went to in Hilliard ( I lived in hilliard at the time) told me I could put him down. I really don't think that Vet could scrub himself off enough after work to get rid of the nasty, dirty feeling he got with the look I gave him. His excuse? 'Well I have put animals down for less." Needless to say I NEVER went back to them. I called easily over thirty different vet offices and even OSU for help with my baby, I didn't want him to lose his leg over the break, but with people not caring or the surgery it needed or stating OVER TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS for the surgery I pretty much gave up. I was starting to call my cat stumps at that point.

However my last resort was a vet in Newark who took one look and shook their head and advised they could do nothing. However they did give me the only lead I had which was this wonderful place. From the first time you set foot in there to when you leave you are their family and they will do whatever it takes to help you and your fur babies. They did the surgery for $700 dollars and it was considered experimental because they straight up told me they had no idea how it would end.

The picture attached? That is my baby Kreiger three years later, happy healthy and nor a 'Mr. Stumpy'. I have never went anywhere else with him and my three other kitties. I will never go anywhere else with my babies.

Newark Veterinary Hospital and their staff is amazing!. We lost our 20 year old cat Emma recently. Dr. Coppel and her staff took great care of us and sent a very thoughtful sympathy package.
I can’t say enough about their entire staff, always accommodating to get us in right away, great follow up after visits.

I have been an ongoing client for years now and I have truly never been happier with a clinic. We have been dealing with ongoing issues with one of our dogs and have been shut down by multiple clinics stating there is no issue. Dr. Houser listened to my concerns and took them seriously and found the root of the problem which happens to be a very very serious issue that had been overlooked. Not only did she help us with our boy, but she also managed to squeeze me and two deathly ill rescues in when I was no longer a client (I worked at a clinic for some time making me no longer a client) within 48 hours. That saved their life. I could not recommend a clinic more!

I have multiple reptiles, and the Herp vet Dr. Houser is so kind. One time we brought our leopard gecko in and it was just a small shedding issue, so they showed us how to get shed out of it's eyes and sent us away without having to pay! It was so kind.

I cannot recommend Dr. Houser and her staff enough. She takes her time with you during appointments and does everything she can to work with your pet (especially with our anxious dog!). She was thorough in explaining the benefits of trying an anxiety med before our visits and it was offered at a very decent price (our last vet charged us over $200 for meds to calm our dog before visits..). We’ve been through the unfortunate experience of having to put a pet down with Newark Vet and they were extremely kind during the entire process- especially with the thoughtful gifts/memorials we received after picking up his ashes. I am so thankful we found Dr. Houser and her practice!

There’s very few exotic pet vets in the area, so having Dr. Houser just right up the road is amazing!

Our bearded dragon needed a check-up and were concerned about a few minor things. While Dr. Houser had a packed schedule, she found time to squeeze our little friend in.

The process was easy, quick, and very professional. They took great care of our bearded dragon. They were very responsive to any of our questions and truly provided us with exceptional service.

Not once did I feel like I was “in the dark” about how the process was going. Everyone was extremely transparent about the treatment plan and the costs associated with it.

They made sure his transport carrier was warmed and he was comfortable for pick-up. As well as having the medication ready with his name written on the top with a nice “doodle” (little things like this go a long way”.

I can confidently say that as a first time pet owner - We have found our forever vet!

Jodi was extremely helpful, this was by far the best vet appointment I have ever been to. I have a very nervous dog and they really took the time to help him be comfortable. It was an extremely enjoyable visit and I will never take my dog anywhere else!

Dr. Houser is literally the best. I had a cat that was being treated elsewhere that was sick for years and she quickly identified what was wrong and that it wasn't the correct treatment. He's now doing great. She's gentle and kind with my poor sweet girl that has terrible anxiety too. I've had a lot of animal issues and everyone there has done a great job checking in and accommodating me.

The staff are all wonderful. They truly care about you and your pet and will do their best to help you. My Sasha just had a Full Mouth Extraction done and Dr. Houser did an amazing job as well as Mindy the tech. They called and let me know when i could pick her up. I went to get her and Mindy came out and explained everything to me. Then the next day Sarah called to check on Sasha to see how she was doing. That shows they truly care. A lot of vets dont call to see how they are but these guys do. I give them a 5 star rating. They will be seeing more of my cats in the near future. Thank you Newark Veterinary Hospital for the love and care you have shown my babies. We appreciate you all. <3

My dog Arrow likes it there. They really do all they can to make her comfortable while giving her shots. Same with my cats. They saved my cat from being in severe pain.

Another thank you to this vet and all others who go above and beyond when faced with irresponsible pet owners. We stand with you, Jodi, all the way from Uruguay where my wife and I tun a 20+ dog rescue for old and disabled dogs. Our vet comes to our ranch weekly for checkups and visits, and cries with us when we have to let one go. Vets are the salt of the earth!
