Dan's Family Restaurant

This is a very good family restaurant with the variety of options on the menu. Excellent Pizza but their subs and other fare are also very good. We've eaten here several times but tonight was the first time in a while due to the pandemic. The staff is friendly and attentive. Prices are good and there is a free parking lot. We highly recommend it.

Awesome mom & pop pizza place but they also offer lunch and other dinners. We had their spicy pepperoni pizza, regular crust. Very good. Prices are right, staff was very friendly and the food was great. Will return again and again.

My family has been there 3 times and we love it!! The pizza is so good!! Carol talked my kids into trying pineapple on their pizza(when they asked about it) & they must have liked it, they ordered it a 2nd time. The fair fries are great!! My daughter & husband have tried 2 different sandwiches and said they both were excellent. Carol was our server 2 times & she is right on top of things. Definitely would recommend!!

I've been a customer of Dan's regularly for over 20 years and rarely disappointed. They are very consistent with their recipes and flavors so I always know what I'm getting when I order from there. The drivers have always been fairly prompt and courteous.
My only very minor complaint would be that they could be a little more liberal with their pizza toppings but again, they are consistent so it's not like I don't know what I'll get when I order from there.

We only live a city over from Dan's Family Restaurant and we wanted to try something different, and we were NOT disappointed! The food was amazing! We had a 16" BLT pizza, 2 orders of Battered mushrooms, and chili for 3 adults, 1 teen, and 2 toddlers. We were all stuffed when we left and couldn't be more happier choosing such a satisfing place. The atmosphere was very pretty and nice looking and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The food is absolutely amazing and you can't beat the price. I got two large pizzas for $18.99. it's the best price I paid for pizza and it is the best pizza my family and I have had in a long time. My mom used to take me here when I was a kid so I chose to pass it on to my kids.what do you know they love it just as much as I did at their age and still do.

My wife and have recently just found this place and we make sure to stop every time we drive into Newark. The pizza is great and I love the ham and bean soup. If you eat in the service is always friendly and attentive.

2/25/18 - This is my new favorite pizza take out place, consistently good pizza, well for Ohio anyway. Salads, and boneless wings are excellent. They have a system, and it works. Dining in is pretty good also, fried shrimp, country fried steak, burgers, etc. Breakfast is good also. We eat here about twice a month now regular, and will continue to do so. Yum.

The Decor is dated, and they have mostly booths. And yet the place has character, uneven floors, vintage benches, and plastic covered menus. Bathrooms are modern and clean.
The service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly, and very competent. I like that in a restaurant. The little things like extra napkins, and getting the whole order exactly correct makes the experience that much better.
Prices are more than reasonable, the Food is all home cooked and very good. The salads are made fresh, good, and decent size. The boneless chicken wings are excellent, I recommend them very much. The Pork Chop is excellent, so is the Country Fried Steak. The Fried shrimp were small, but hey give you plenty of them, the vegetables and sides are very good. Everything was made from scratch, fresh, and tasty. All the way through to coffee and desserts.
If take out pizza is more your speed, they run specials all the time and the pizza is pretty darn good. Their two pizzas for $20 deal is spot on for an easy dinner.
Overall this is a good eating place, bring your friends, the whole family, and eat well for reasonable cost.

Dine in up front and take out in the back. Their pizza is very good and not crazy expensive. Subs are very good and reasonable. Salads are excellent. Breakfast is darn good too. Friendly place, good service, order is correct, good food and reasonably priced. Is it the best I ever had? Well no, but in a small town like Newark, very good is as good as it gets. Tried their two pizzas for $20 deal a few weeks ago, very happy. Did their buy two, get the third sub free deal Today, very happy. Only thing you have to remember is that they are closed on Sundays and Mondays, but this is Not some corporate chain place, it is a real family run restaurant and pizzeria. Moto Bene!

Great food reasonably priced.
Service is great. Carol is fast and u very seldom have to ask for refills or anything..she is there b4 you ask for anything with it. The other girls are great too.
Been going there for years and will continue. 😊

Went today as a family of 7 (5 kids) been there many times, ordered delivery many times. But tonight I have to say topped the cake. It was soooo packed and we still got our food and ate with in an hour, the waitresses stayed up on our drinks and was super friendly. They did an awsome job for being so busy ( and i mean tables full, bar full, back part filing up) busy. And best of all my pork chop was delicious.

We tried the BLT pizza and it became a quick favorite. 1st time done in, 2nd time take our. The BLT pizza taste great cold too, great left overs pizza.

BLT is the best hands down. Over the past 30 years I have not found a local place that makes them like this. Very good. Service is also very timely and staff is friendly. Delivery is quick and drivers are pleasant.

My husband and I moved to Stillwater MN 12 years ago...however great the restaurants are here and they are...we still to this day miss your blt pizza... we've been back twice since to have it...great job... we've never figured out your crust...LOL

Great food. Amazing prices. The atmosphere there is friendly and the staff know what they are doing to please the customers. I highly recommend.

We are from out of town and stopped by after reading reviews. Very glad we did the pizza was really good and our waitress was very nice. If we are ever in the area again we definitely will stop in again.

The best pizza I have had since moving to Ohio! This pizza is so delicious and the restaurant had our order made fast on a Saturday night! Everyone was friendly and they offer great deals. You can also dine in at this pizza place!

Very pleased with our order the salad is out of this world!! We had 2 pizza subs an Italian sub and a large salad.. Delivery time was fast and the food was delish definitely will be a repeat customer.

This is best place to get a fantastic BLT pizza! But my favorite thing they make is a Reuben Sandwich! It is the absolute bomb!!!

They have excellent customer service. And the food was excellent. Go check them out. You will really enjoy the food and service.

Dan is a very clean person and he makes sure each order is fresh and on time. The food is great. I used to think Dan's only had 🍕 but he serves restaurant food breakfast and all.
