Updating this to a 5 star after our visit last night. Under new ownership you can tell everyone enjoys working there. Food & drinks were great, and the owner gave us a tour of the Speakeasy, which is open on the weekends. I highly recommend stopping by. We ate at the bar, cheers!

Loved this Gem! Traveling through on 80 West and Wolf Creek is literally 2 minutes away. The building is inviting and historical, established in 1860. Gorgeous and decorated for the season. Live entertainment, top notch service, great food and location. This place has it all! Dinner, drinks and dancing all on a Wednesday night. Restrooms were clean and updated, even the patrons were amazing!

6 of us went to celebrate valentine's day!
The food was beyond amazing! We ordered chicken marsala, 1 fried 1 grilled. Both amazing! The pork cop was large and tender and my fiance and I ordered the valentine's special steak and lobster for 2. His steak was tender a very big portion. And the lobster tail I ate was big and very tender. We had appetizers and drinks and not one of us had any complaints!
Highly recommend !! We even went down to the speakeasy after dinner. All round fabulous experience! Thank you!

Really fantastic find. You have to try and figure out how to get to the Speakeasy! It's incredible! Food was awesome! Definitely going back!

Second time here since it has been under new management. We came back after having an award winning experience. Tonight, not so much. It started great, greeted promptly, beverages served, and meals ordered. That was the last we saw of our server. My wife ordered a burger medium to medium rare, and I ordered tortellini. Burger came out more well done than I would have cooked liver, tortellini had maybe two teaspoons of sauce, and the sausage pieces might have been air fried. Again, no one came to check on the meals or to offer more beverages. Very poor experience for a tell tale empty dining room.

Food was good. Had the honey salmon. Server attentive and atmosphere is great. The inside is covered with wood, makes you feel you walked into another century to dine. Nice selection of beer and cocktails.

The speakeasy underground was amazing. Cool experience. The restaurant food was amazing. Had the fall special of totelini and sausage with a pumpkin squash sauce and it was delish.

The place let’s be honest is a little outdated, but I’m guessing it is the atmosphere they want to creat, we did not have to much expectations, but let me tell you the food was AMAZING the pretzel is HUGE, the specialty flatbread for that day was delicious. We will go back soon

The tavern is home-y with wood paneling. Building was built in the 1800s and was part of the underground railroad plus the 1920s prohibition with the original speakeasy below the restaurant, which the owners will give you a tour if they're on site. The drinks were great, especially the apple cider Moscow mule, and the pork belly poutine is great as well. Portion sizes are large and many appetizers are shareable. Good little place for history and good food

We went to see live music. The patio is serene with a cute herb garden growing on the wall. The inside is like a cabin with beautiful wood tables and wooden doors. There's a secret door to a speakeasy! I had the palmer cocktail with their infused vodka, a salmon wedge, and a slice of homemade chocolate mocha cake togo . Delicious and excellent service.

The baked brie appetizer was absolutely wonderful and the food was delicious as well! Drinks are very strong. I can't say I'm a fan of the well water that they provide but I understand why it's served to maintain authenticity for the prohibition era. Our waiter had a great sense of humor and he answered all of our questions well.

Food was amazing! Grace was our server and she couldn't have been any better: nice, informative, patient, wow! Get the infusion flight, you won't be disappointed!

If these walls could talk, as I say every time we dine at Wolf creek tavern! Built in 1840, the tavern has plenty of character and colorful history which is one reason we love this local gem. We haven’t been to the prohibition-era basement speakeasy in the winter (we plan to) but 2 private tours has us hooked to ensure we do (picture #2).
We’ve never had anything but extraordinary meal experiences with ourselves, friends and our kids. The gnocchi and hanger steak (photo #1) is hands down my favorite! We have tried almost everything on the menu: here’s our must entree recommends: the tavern burger with homemade chips, homemade fish sticks (salmon filled nonetheless), bone in pork chop, filet with amazing sides, or a chipotle grilled chicken club. Start with the spicy cauliflower, confit wings, fried brussel sprouts or the colossal crab cakes a few of our go-to favorites.
Stop eating at chain owned restaurants and support this family owned and run Norton, OH historical gem! You won’t be disappointed!!

This hidden gem really has everything. From great weekly live music, to fantastic affordable drinks, to warm decor, to amazing home cooked style meals. Feeling adventurous? Get the calamari or baked brie as an appetizer. I've been coming here for years and I've never been disappointed. You're missing out if you haven't eaten here.

Delicious cocktails and great vegetarian options. Highly recommend the cauliflower - ask for a side of ranch to really complete it. The veggie burgers are homemade and quite good. Will need to go back to trynore things soon!
