Trading Post Restaurant

Love it. Yes they had no ice and were only serving burgers but who cares when the burgers are so bloody good. Drinks were cold enough and the lovely lady serving was so kind to the locals and not so locals. We wanted to split a burger and she brought it out on two plates for us. I heard her say they were hoping to get the repairs done in the next couple of days. What do you do when you’re out in the middle of no man’s land? A thousand times better than a franchise drive through!

We found this place on our way back home. Hands down, they had the best pancakes I have ever had. I've been dreaming about coming back. The service was great. I have been begging my wife for another road trip, so we can have breakfast here.

Had a great breakfast at the trading post. It's very clean and tidy inside. Good size parking lot for trucks and RVs. But the best part is the waitress/cook! Yep, she does it all. Very efficient young lady and a great cook!!

The food was freshly prepared and delicious! We were sad to hear that they may go out of business due to having to close for covid for an extended period of time. Maybe someone will be willing to reinvest some money and save it, since it is such a great place and one of the only places to stop in the area.

We were driving thru town and stopped by this little gem. Honestly, I had reservations before we walked in, then I smelled the bacon. The waitress was very kind and easy to talk with. Breakfast was AWESOME! We had the bacon breakfast sandwich, the bacon skillet, and the kitchen breakfast with pancakes. Very good food! No bacon was left behind! Lol Great place to stop for breakfast for sure!

We were leaving Colorado Springs and picked the parralel highway to avoid the interstate We were hungry and were amazed to find this restaurant We went there years ago. and enjoyed the food and ambiance.. There were five men at the next table. The waitress gave the daily special. It was meat loaf. After several unfavorable comments about meatloaf, they all ordered the special. You could tell they were regulars. My choice of an alternate highway gave my wife and I a memorable experience We still have the Wild West photos we purchased there.

Food was incredible, and the young lady that served us was very attentive, and friendly.

This place is amazing!! If your looking for a place with great food, fair prices, and very friendly people. Then you've found the rite place. In addition to being very pleased with the costumer service. I'd have to say, one of the things that absolutely made my whole experience as delightful as it was. I believe, is the way the hamburgers are cooked. Just like one would do so if they were making them at home for dinner. Never frozen, always made 💯 fresh to order. Also, I'd have to say they definitely aren't stingy on the portions. Whatever you decide to order, I can almost guarantee, you'll be satisfied with whatever it is that you decide to eat. Also, I can also guarantee, you won't be hungry at least for the next few hours.

I walked in late last night, I could tell by the look on the waitresses face that they were getting ready to lock the door. She said they closed up the kitchen, but could get me something. This could have gone the other way and you never would have known. But that young lady and her good attitude inspired me to leave a good review. She told me she'd make a fresh pot of coffee if I promised to drink more than a cup, hello fresh pot! I really had only one option for food and that was a cheeseburger with fries.
I was hungry, it was tasty, cooked right with a nice big fat slice of fresh tomato, yummy..... the fries were pretty good too..... All in all a good experience. Seems like a nice mom n pop kinda place, they hire really nice people and make pretty good food..... Excellent coffee. Give them a try, you'll like it, I wish I had gotten the young ladies name, she kinda looks like the girl Becca in the movie pitch perfect... Anna Kendrick !!!

This place has plenty of overnight truck parking. It's real quiet and the lot isn't bad. I woke up and got some breakfast. The employees were friendly and I had a good experience. It's definitely a place to stay if you need to get your 10 hour break done.

Waitress did it ALL! It’s a one woman show and she pulled it off magnificently. Our family of 5 stopped in and on the way to ski Breck. She was our hostess, waitress, cook and cashier. Our boys loved her cooking so much they wished they would have ordered two meals each. Definitely order her delicious pancakes - her grandmothers recipe!!

Great food and drinks, service was on time and very polite.

An excellent place to eat. The staff treated me very nice and always checking on us. Had the double meat bacon cheeseburger and it was over 5 inches tall. Had to take one of the burgers to go cuz it would of been too big to eat. Big truck parking on restaurant side and across the street. Recommend parking on the restaurant side because of the giant holes. Open at 0600 close 2100. Great job trading post restaurant!! Waitress was adorable and very sweet.

This restaurant is truly great. It is quite humble in appearance but the staff are friendly and the food is the perfect combination of cheap and delicious. Ordered a breakfast skillet that was the size of a whole done plate for 6.50$. It had eggs haahbrown cheese sausage and green Chile sauce and I was very satisfied with it. One hour east of Colorado Springs, this place is a gem!

Stopped by for lunch on our recent business trip with Natural Yucca Products. Didn't look like much from the outside but the food was great! The burgers and rocky mountain oysters were yummy! Desserts were too! (Pie and cinnamon rolls) If you're near Kit Carson it's worth the stop.

It's a quaint little hole in the wall with delicious food. I would check the hours as they are not always open and there are no public restrooms at this location. The food was delicious though and the staff was friendly.

We have the ribeye steak and it was freshly cut and our son had the double bacon cheese burger with curly fries (yum yum). Definitely a great place to stop and relax with the family.
