Always so good and tasty! The portions here are HUGE. The vibe is very chill and there is a ton of options. We came for dinner but Breakfast is available too! Friendly service and full bellies. What more could you need?
One of the best places to eat on the big Island! And there is another location in Waimea (breakfast only)

Recommended by Kai at Botanical World. Excellent food, large portions. Great flavor. I'm glad we went. I would definitely recommend. They close at 2pm on Sunday so we just did make it. Had to jaion the wait list but the wait was only about 15 mins. 2 of us got the 12oz ribeye, hashbrown, 2 eggs, and upgraded to French toast. Yummy. The other one got the Moco Loco and it was a giant bowl. Also looked delicious.

Great place to get Hawaiian food, popular with locals and reasonably priced. The fish coated in macadamia nut panko was delicious and nice and light, and the lechon (crispy pork belly strips) was very good too.

We also got kalua pork nachos to share as a starter, which was some of the best pork we had during our stay, but it was a huge plate and our mains arrived just a few minutes later, so we ended up taking most of that home and eating it for lunch the next day.

We came back a few days later for breakfast, which was also really good. The kalua pork hash was particularly tasty, and the pancakes that came with our breakfasts were huge.

Both times we had a short wait to get seated, as it always seems to be very busy (a good sign), but once inside the service was fast.

This place is great! Be aware that if you order anything with pancakes they are two massive pancakes! I got the kalua pork and hash, and oh my gosh it was so good! Someone else I went with got the moco loco, they said it was the best they've had yet! The servers are so nice, I totally recommend! 10/10

"Give them all the stars" says my daughter. Six of us walked in 10 min before closing. They were still willing to seat is, but we chose to get it to go, and eat outside on the bench.

We got an original Poke bowl, pork nachos, three burgers, and a bowl of stew. Everyone rated everything five stars.

The poke bowl had a generous amount of Ahi, the pork was flavorful. Everyone commented about how good the burgers were. The stew had huge chunks of everything.

Interestingly enough, they were very willing to seat us right before closing, but once we got our food, they were none too eager to let us in to use the restroom.

Kind of weird, but definitely not a deal killer.

5/5 Kualoa Hash - Yummy but too much potatoes on our order
*3/5 Huapia Pancake - we ordered this as an upgraded side. It's 2 massive pancakes, the size of my head, layered with huapia (coconut pudding/glaze). It was delicious *but I would not reorder since it was too sweet. I think 15 yo me would've loved it but I couldn't eat more than a quarter.
5/5 POG Juice - delicious and refreshing

2 single restroom, one for men and women

I'd go back to try other items on their menu. Lots of specials on the board that sounded appetizing. Any leftovers get recycled to a hog farm, which made me feel great about the leftover pancakes

Food is great, cafe is cute, and servers are polite and friendly, if hurried (it gets very busy, so ordering etc feels kind of brusque -- best to maybe review menu before seating so you have a good idea). Definitely a good experience and gets very busy fast (line at opening), so plan accordingly

If you’re looking for large portions, delicious food and quick service… come here!!! My husband and I have big appetites and this place definitely satisfied our cravings.

We came back here 3 times while on the big island because it was that good! My husband grew up on a cattle ranch and is picky with his steak, he ordered the Steak & Eggs three separate times because of how perfect he said it was cooked. My French toast was awesome, papaya was fresh, pancakes were HUGE!

10/10 recommend!!

We spent 2 weeks in Hawai'i and this place was by far our favorite eatery during our stay. We ate here twice while staying overnight in Hilo, once for lunch and again for breakfast. Be warned, this place is very popular; there will be a wait for a table (our first waitress said 45-60 minutes is typical). However once we got to our tables the service is incredibly fast. Everyone here is kind, the food portions are VERY generous, and everything we ate was superb. Like I told my husband: if it’s good enough for Jason, it’s good enough for me! Haha!

It seemed you couldn’t go wrong with anything they served, this is a hidden gem that’s worth going out of the way to enjoy! Excellent service, friendly staff, home style comfort and feel with plenty of delicious comfort food that won’t leave you feeling like you had a gut bomb— unless you order everything that looks good and try to finish it all! Great experience, great food!

Onolicious local food with huge portions!😋🤙🏽 We had the Original Poke Bowl, Kalbi with Chicken Katsu Plate, Prime Rib Locomoco, Crispy Kim Chee Chicken plate & Oowey Gooey Jumbo Cinnamon Roll. The food is always worth the wait.

We were blown away by the food and flavors. Great food! Word of advice: go to Y el p app and get on the wait list, especially if the cruise ship is in. The wait can be as long as an hour.

Great local food, the side of pancake is massive! The daily specials are displayed on the monitors and are inventive.

Amazing food. Definitely worth the wait. Massive portions, so you can definitely takeaway another portion of food for later on in the day! The Wailoa poke bowl was one of the best we’ve had in Hawaii

The best food we've had in Hilo! So good that we went back for breakfast before we had to head out of town. Huge portions and great pricing, which is great when feeding a family, but the food was delicious. It was difficult to choose from the extensive menu, but I don't think you can go wrong. Service was great and the atmosphere was great as well. They brought our food out really quickly but everything tasted fresh and amazing.

Excellent service and food was top notch and authentic. We had the pick two lunch plate and a pancake. Both were outstanding.

My first day in Hilo we tried Hawaiian Style Cafe for breakfast. There was a short wait for a nice outdoor table. The dishes were great as was the service. The portions were extremely generous, especially the pancakes that went with my omelette and hash browns!

This is a very good restaurant with local food. The food is very tasty and the portions are large and filling. The prices are also okay. The staff are super friendly. I can recommend the furikake panko ahi and the Poke bowls.
