Really good Mexican restaurant!! We stopped here on our way from White Sands to Santa Fe, and it was conveniently located right on the road.

The food was very good, prices were reasonable, and service was friendly. Everything was great!! I highly recommend the green chile stew - it was so good!

If you're traveling through Corona, NM, and need to take a break from the long open roads, El Corral Café is the place to stop. Cristina is the hostess, cashier, busser, you name it! She's part of the family business, and it shows. She's got a very positive personality and is friendly to everyone who walks thru the front door. I stopped here 2 days in a row because of work. The food was made fresh and worth every penny. The first day, I ordered the cheeseburger with bacon and was not disappointed. The next day, I ordered the NM steak w/ fries, smothered with red chile, and that was even better. El Corral Café gets 5 stars from me for their great food and excellent customer service
I would recommend them to anyone who's traveling thru Corona.

Corona, NM, is such a small town that you can easily drive through it without noticing it. However, if you can find the El Corral Cafe, you will be treated to a warm and friendly restaurant hosted by a Senora with the biggest smile in these parts. Among her guests are genuine cowgirls and cowboys who find room to park their cattle trailers on the other side of the highway.

After Thanksgiving, on the way home to Colorado, my wife and I stopped by the El Corral Cafe and found the perfect wood burning stove to warm our hands. We ordered pozole soup and chili rellenos that were delicious and satisfying. You will never find another restaurant with more authentic New Mexican cuisine and hospitality!

Stopped in around 12:30p hoping for breakfast, but disappointed when we had to order from the lunch menu. Both breakfast and lunch menus are limited, so we assumed it wasn’t going to be what we needed…a good meal while traveling. Boy were we wrong! We “settled” on the chicken tender basket w/frys for the little one, and the combination platter, w/relleno and green sauce for both adults. It was SO good! The fry’s and chicken were also very good! Christine, the only waitress serving, seemed a bit standoffish at first, but then warmed up to be extremely friendly and efficient! We could then tell her initial demeanor was due to focusing on the lunch rush! We will be stopping here again on our way back through!! Cash ONLY, so bring enough for tip!

Family run and outstanding! We stopped on our way to Alamogordo. Everything was homemade. I ordered the green chili soup which came with ground beef, onions and cheese. It was a huge portion and delicious! I also had a chili relleno with amazing crispy batter smothered in delicious red chili enchilada sauce. I recommend this restaurant!!

Passing through, I called and ordered two cheese burgers and fries for pickup. We arrived about 10 minutes later, a very friendly lady greeted us and insisted we sit. We told her we had pre-ordered and then brought our food. Hamburgers were delicious, fries hot, and ice cold pepsi. Muchísimas gracias señora y que dios los bendiga.

We arrived when they opened at 8. Had a delicious sausage and eggs breakfast, which included hash browns and toast. Coffee was perfect. Met 2 very friendly locals. Service was great. A diamond in the rough!

Excellent and fresh food served fast and by charming ladies. We were passing through but felt just as welcome as the many locals eating here. We will look forward to our next meal here when we are near Corona! 😊

Driving from Santa Fe down 285, to 3 south. Beautiful country and nasty cloudbursts.
On 54 now, and hungry.
Homey and neighborly, honest food, pleasant folks. Always try to make a point of supporting locals.

10/10 and definitely recommend if you’re traveling through the area. I had the combo meal with a taco, enchilada, and tamale. This is by far the best Mexican meal I’ve ever had. It is a little hole-in-the-wall + in the middle of (a beautiful, scenic)nowhere, but I believe this adds so much character. You can tell the pride and love cooked into the food.

This place is a real gem. Owned by a woman, Christina, whose sister does the cooking. Excellent food, good atmosphere and very clean. Everyone in town eats here. We camped nearby for two weeks and came here to eat several times. If you’re passing through and don’t stop, you’re really missing out. Need something in town? Ask Christina and she’ll tell you where you can get it. Such nice folks here!

Great food, great service. You can always tell that the food is going to be good when the staff greats most people by name - lots of locals. It's worth the trip up Highway 54.

Stopped by this establishment for a quick bite and food was phenomenonal. Outward appearance has traditional Mexican diner look to it. Inside appearance was all about food (to include poster about Hatch, NM and their renowned Chile).

Tacos and rice were amazing. Both mom and daughter devoured them.

Son was flip-flopping between choice of drinks. So the server (Possibly co-owner) and her daughter actually took him back with son's mom to the fridge so he could pick out his own drink.

Burger and fries were delicious and very filling. French fry seasoning was some of the best I've ever had.

Chips and salsa were good appetizer and had just enough to hold us over until food arrived.
