Sandbar BBQ

We loved this place! Worth the drive. Kid friendly was a plus. I wish we had came later so we could try the ribs. I was least excited about the chicken and it ended up being my favorite! It was so juicy and tasty! The service was great. We will definitely be coming back. They have a beautiful patio that I can't wait to try in warmer weather.

Sarah and staff were friendly and attentive. The chili and cornbread was great. The tri-tip sandwich was good but some big pieces of gristle. The waffle fries were excellent and I even enjoyed the homemade ranch which always has me worried.

The atmosphere is quiet for Sunday at 1PM. There are televisions playing sports. There are limited tables and even more limited parking.

The menu options for what I consider for typical bbq is missing at least on the lunch menu. I am curious about what’s on the dinner menu. Thus, I will be back to try it.

The food was delicious!!!
My only issue would be the guacamole to chips ratio- there’s not nearly enough guacamole for the price in my opinion. We still had a full bowl of chips when done.

Our server was great- she answered all of our questions, had great recommendations and was absolutely fantastic!
We ordered way too much food but it was worth every bite…. We just had plenty for leftovers :)

Hands down the BEST Mac and cheese of my life!!!! Like wow wow wow. You have to order it. The ribs were also insanely delicious and fall off the bone… you literally don’t need a knife. So delicious. Cornbread was great and the bbq cauliflower was surprisingly tasty too. The bbq sauce they use is one of my favorites. If they sell it in a bottle I would buy !!

Friendly staff, kid friendly, good food and prices. Chicken tacos are super amazing! Tons of flavor... and the smoked chicken sandwich was amazing!

We celebrated a Birthday at The Sandbar bbq and was overwhelmed by the food, the great service and atmosphere. We will definitely be returning and recommending to others!! I give it a 10

Recommend the Meat sweats pulled pork egg rolls!

That was the best chili I've had in years!!! Smoked tri tip in there that wasn't overcooked AND they got cornbread for dunking! Had to get the trip tip Sammy too and the thing was loaded! Thanks again!

Yummy pulled pork sandwich and delicious waffle fries!! The pork egg rolls were so good! I wish we ordered more for the table - we finished them so quickly. Had a wonderful dinner with family and can’t wait to come back! Thanks Sandbar!!

I love this place, the only complaint I have is they're too middle ground on seating. I would really love it if they could update their seating to accommodate larger groups. Some times I come in alone for an amazing smoked meat salad but I would also like to be able to bring in a larger group comfortably too. By far one of the best food options in Sandy.

The Arrival:
Unassuming exterior. Gravel parking. Fantastic hostess, Sarah S. Let me say I like to throw around a little sass just for fun and this girl kept me on my toes and in my place. Absolute joy to be served by her, literally and figuratively.

The Place:
Smaller than I assumed it would be but also extremely clean. Tables didn't have that... -feeling-. You know the one. Floors were clean, dishes and silverware all clean. Metal cups brought me back some good memories but I guess that's a personal thing. Nothing felt wrong with the design or decor but it also wasn't overbearing or outlandish. I guess it was just right? Maybe just a touch bland.

The Food:
I got a TriTip sandwich and it was amazing. Meat was fantastic, bread open flame toasted. Grilled onions. My God... I don't know what they were trying to do to me with that food by im sure it's illegal in a couple states. Tried a bit of my groups food and everything was excellent. Everyone was pretty happy with what they got.

The Price:
Honestly I felt fine paying what I did for everything. I didn't feel neglected as a patron, the quality of food was good, the cleanliness was better than most. The sandwich was a good portion and under $20 (for lunch). A drink and dessert for myself and take home to the wife with tip was just over $40.

Overall:
Not much else to say other than I'll be back.

The food is good. I feel like it’s all from scratch. Much better than previous restaurant. Service is good but can get busy and slow especially with large groups. Ribs, tacos and salads good!

The service was excellent, very friendly staff from the moment we walked into the Sandbar. The Ribs were cooked to perfection, I will definitely be back to try the Pulled pork.

Very good bbq. There Friday and Saturday smoked prim rib is heavenly. Not the most tender I have had, but by far the most flavourful.

Their smoked chicken sandwich was so delicious! The coleslaw was so on point! Definitely eating there again!

Best Tri-tip I’ve had in years! Pulled pork sandwich is one of a kind and delicious! New restaurant, but all staff is friendly and working hard to give you a fun experience! You won’t be disappointed!!

Six months later and I was back to try some more food. The St. Louis style Pork ribs were the bomb. Loaded with meat, very tasty. Loved the atmosphere as skiers were heading back from the hill. Great place to relax and have a nice meal.

This was one of the best dinning experiences my family has had in a while. The ribs were amazing, pulled pork was really good too. Great atmosphere and quality service. We even got to meet the owner (Cliff? I think), when he brought out our food. We will definitely be recommending and coming back as often as we can.
