I received excellent customer service from three employees at this store on the day before Thanksgiving. My first encounter was with Dylan in the produce department. Dylan was actively engaging customers as he unloaded his produce cart, asking what we were looking for and directing us to our items. This made shopping the department much easier, especially with so many items to find. When I stepped to the meat department I encountered Derek B., seafood manager, who greeted me immediately with a smile and friendly banter. At the self checkout register, Billie U. had to assist me and others several times. Billie juggled all of her duties and quickly solved issues with minimal waiting. Shopping on the day before a holiday can sometimes be a hassle, but this store was well stocked and staffed with wonderful employees like Dylan, Derek B. and Billie to make the experience smooth and enjoyable.

I’d like to thank Jimmie in the deli. He turned what was going to be a disastrous situation into an overall good experience. He and his team on Saturday morning made sure I was taken care for a catering order that slipped thru the cracks. Appreciate all the hard work.

Good savings on multiple items
Very friendly staff graciously willing to help find odd items. (Needed super glue and it was in the school supplies section) didn’t even know there was a school supplies section 😎

Excellent shop . It works until late, which is very good, for people who go from work, you can buy groceries home. Always a large selection of fresh flowers. I like this store.

My only complaint is the restocking situation. It seems as though you don’t restock a lot of popular products quick enough, things can be out of stock for up to a week sometimes.

I do love the Safeway app makes shopping here that much better!

Very high quality produce and meats. Everything you need, use digital coupons and watch the sales.

Great shopping experience. Cashier was friendly (Linda) and helpful. Young man who helped me load my groceries was exceptional. I needed a cart to ride around in store and shop and he brought one out to car and help me get seated.
I may change my loyalty from Fred's to Sandy Safeway. Thank you so much.

Lisa in the Florist Department did a fabulous job on the Floral Sprays for my aunts memorial service. She went above and beyond especially in making a rather unique spray from the 61 nieces & nephews. I would highly recommend them for your next special occasion!

I have been shopping here for a few years now.
I always pick up a warm, fresh loaf of french bread from the bakery when I get the chance.
The hot food deli and the meat deli have yummy options
The pharmacy is fantastic. I keep all of my prescriptions well organized and tracked so I am on top of things when I need refills. Make sure your doctors are all paying close attention to the medication needs of their patients, which is extremely important for on-time refills. Doing all of this keeps surprise empty prescription bottles and late refills at bay
It's a good sized store that is very popular in this area because of its convenient location, prices, rewards club, lack of other store options, and more. It gets busy quickly because of this. It also gets busy on good weather weekends when everyone and their cat is heading up to Mt. Hood through Sandy. Keep that in mind when choosing a shopping day :) I know I do!

This is a very nice Safeway it is very clean. It's very well organized easy to find stuff... The deli has very good food very well prepared all hot items are very hot sandwiches are excellent and great customer service public restrooms very clean... Self checkout very convenient easy to use that's why I gave this safe Way five stars....

Always stocked with everything I need

Great shopping experience, they always have what we need and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

I just wanted to give appreciation to Ben Johnson, who was working today, he was dealing with the frustrating bottle redemption area, in 80plus degree weather, and he was just so pleasant and kind. He offered to hand count my cans, which I was very thankful for ,he’s a great employee!! Thanks!

We love shopping there. All your employees are very helpful and friendly during a hard time.
Today was quite different.
The young lady was rude and short tempered.
There were three thoughts in my head.
1: she is just having a hard day.
2: maybe someone in her family died.
3: she doesn't like black people.

Every person has their moments so I didn't speak to her about her lack of professional and personal courtesy.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for her.

They have good fruit and veggies.
No trout is stocked. I guess the people catch their own.

I always enjoy shopping here; it's clean and well-stocked, and the people are always so nice.

Safeway might be smaller than Fred Meyer, but actually still has a great selection of products, and usually at a better price. I only ever get in here late at night, I imagine things are a touch more chaotic during daylight hours, but I've never had to worry about crowds or lines whatsoever. One thing I definitely appreciate -- even when they drop down to a single cashier, their front end manager remains very attentive to what's going on at the registers, and should you ever end up behind somebody else in line, he's very quick to open a register up for you, even when there is, I'm sure, plenty of other things he could be doing to get the store closed down quicker. I've worked retail management, so I guess this probably stands out to me a little more than it would to most, but that's pretty outstanding customer service in my book.

I requested a cake for Transgender Day of Remembrance so I could celebrate with my coworkers. They have been instrumental in the course of my healing and rebirth into my body the last four years. I worked with the cake decorator explaining my thought for the design. It turned out amazing. I do work at this store, so I hold a bias in that it has been my second home for the last eight years. But I was asked to leave a review and this happens to be the most gracious thing that anyone outside my wife and son has done for me in some time. Thanks for reading my comment. We all deserve to choose to express ourselves in whatever way possible to be happy in life when our first childhood is not as carefully listened to as the notes we keep for safe keeping and a rainy day where we relive the experiences in our heads. Creating more damage to our psyche than anything we could do to our body.

I like to shop at Safeway partly because of the organic produce. I eat a lot of diced Bell peppers and hash browns for breakfast, and they absolutely have the largest organic peppers in town. I usually treat myself to some of their baked goods and they have a very nice deli section. You can even get vaccinated while you're there. Nothing to complain about here!
