Banner Baywood Medical Center

My husband had a large blood clot in his arm/shoulder area. It’s the typical emergency room, with lots of waiting before you are seen, but we are very pleased with the care my husband received. He was examined thoroughly by the ER doctor and a Vascular specialist was called in and he also completed a thorough exam. It was determined that he could be sent home with blood thinners, which we were surprised he didn’t need a heparin drip first, but the doctors did a lot of consulting and decided this was the best course of action. We felt my husband was well taken care of, listened to and heard.

My mom was in Banner Baywood ICU and hospital from Feb 13, 2024 until March 17,2024. The ICU staff was awesome and showed genuine compassion and care for my mom; some went beyond the call of duty. The nurses in ICU (Room 203 then room 223) in particular, Teresa, Melissa, Amanda, Justin, Alayna , and Laura were phenomenal! I will forever remember them and forever keep them in my prayers that God will continue to bless them and everything they do. My mom Lorraine Dunn passed away on March 17 in the hospital but she LIVED 90 beautiful years on this earth. She is now resting in Jesus world. I truly appreciate each of you❤🥰🙏🏽🙏🏽🏅

They've saved my life twice. Once in 2018 and the other in 2022. Everyone was full of knowledge and had amazing skills. I highly recommend this hospital and staff not only for the reasons above, but their exceptional compassion,skill, and heart they showed while being in their care!

I came into the emergency room and was admitted for 3 days. I will say, I have not been admitted to the hospital since I was a baby but my mother frequents hospitals due to medical conditions and this hospital BLEW ME AWAY with their bedside manner. Everyone in the ER was very nice and I connected with every RN that took care of me for my 3 day stay. Michael, Lynette, Hannah and Astrid are AMAZING. Very sweet and professional while being caring enough to happily help me through my homesickness. They answered any of my calls quickly and helped me get the answers as soon as they had them. The other assistants who helped them were also just as sweet and professional. This hospital is doing things right and I would advise they give these people raises so they dont ever lose them because people like them are the reason I will go here if I ever have any other medical emergencies. Thank you Banner Baywood for taking me and making me feel as if I matter and treating me with the best service I have ever seen from a hospital.

I had a procedure in the interventional radiology department on 4/19/24. I was nervous but RN Christie instantly put me at ease. The process was seamless from check-in (definitely do the pre-registration if offered, it makes registration so fast and easy). A volunteer escorted us to the Imaging waiting room and from there it was a short wait to the pre/post procedure area.The PA Jed answered all my questions and was very respectful.
I remember very little of the procedure (which is always a good thing). Had the barest minimal pain afterwards and by day 2 zero pain (that's likely due to skill and a lot of prayers). I wouldn't hesitate to receive care here again if needed (hopefully not needed though).

I had a surgical procedure scheduled for December 7th, 2023. The staff treated me professionally and courteously. They had me prepped in time for my doctor to perform the procedure as scheduled. The facility was spotless and the staff were very helpful to my nervous wife. Once I was finished with the surgery, they took good care of me in recovery. I always felt safe and well cared for. Great Job Banner Baywood!!!

Banner Baywood Medical Center with its doctors, nurses and staff are most courteous, knowledgeable and professional in their care and support. They were tremendous in my surgery and post-surgery support.

Went to visit a neighbor who had emergency surgery. Disabled parking was difficult to find, but the saving grace is the golf cart pick up and drop off. Seems to be a very well maintained hospital. The only problem I experienced was that the volunteer at the information desk couldn't hear what i was saying. Said his hearing aid wasn't working. Perhaps he should be assigned another volunteer position.

From the welcoming parking lot, to the emergency waiting room, to the Emergency Room, to the patient rooms, my experience was exemplary! I was treated as a person, a living, breathing, person--I was provided information on what to expect throughout the entire process--even my meeting with the Chaplain. While I never plan to go to the Emergency Room or an unexpected stay at the hospital, Banner Baywood will always be my preferred hospital!!!

I had occasion to visit the ED this morning. From the time I walked in the door, until I was done, I received stellar care from every single person I interacted with! They were prompt and professional, friendly and caring! Unbeatable combination. This is my third visit to this hospital's ED and each time it's been like this. Incredibly impressed!

We have been coming to Banner Baywood medical and the hospital for a long time. They have the sweetest staff, nurses and Doctors. We appreciate their time & dedication to our family. Steve the volunteer assisted me to the waiting room..then RN Sarah took great care of me and got me in even though I was 2 hours early!

Leslie on the 4th floor PCU is the nicest, friendliest, and most knowledgeable nurse anyone could ever have! She was very attentive to my family members and always asked if we were okay and if we might need anything as we stayed.

I love this e.r they are very dedicated in taking care of their patients. My husband had several chest pain and could not swallow or breath,, they took him back right away..

Excellent care received for surgery that required an overnight stay. Pre-op, post-op and in-room recovery nurses were terrific resulting in a successful outcome. Check-in and check out processes were very efficient. Only annoyances were waiting 4 hours for a room after surgery and the morning nurse shift change resulted in no care for 2-3 hours
An empty antibiotic bag alarm rang loudly by my side and not attended to for 15 minutes.
Overall everyone I encountered during my 24 hours at Banner Baywood were very helpful and pleasant.

Very good hospital starting with my Dr springler that did my cirgury..hospital personal A+...thumps up to the anesthesia team good job.

I had the best care team and experience EVER when l had my gallbladder removed on 9/29. Big shout outs to my care team Lindsey , Hailey ,CNA Alice , and Peter . You all make my stay the absolute best !

I was recently in this hospital for surgery. Everyone was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The hospital is clean with area's that are in the middle of upgrading. Great location and nice building. Highly recommend this hospital without any doubt!

I have read the poor reviews and don’t understand where people are coming from. Banner is a hospital not a resort. The doctors and nurses are saving lives every day. I have been here twice for serious heart issues and would have died in any other country.

My wife is here now and she was literally minutes from death and they saved her life.

And I see reviews complaining of not getting coffee. If that isn’t a first world problem I don’t know what is.

Please just thank the doctors and nurses who work as hard as they can in very difficult situations.

We are lucky to have multiple banner facilities with in minutes of just about anywhere.

The staff at Outpatient Services and the ATU are amazing! Kind, helpful and definitely caring! Have a great Thanksgiving!
