First let me say the ambience is so nice! I love the dim lights, which is perfect for date night! The restaurant is very clean. We had a fabulous night out. The bartenders are awesome! They worked together and made our experience joyful. Very pleasant and the drinks were tasty! A must go!

I have been to this Bonefish Grill many, many times and I cannot recommend it enough. Great local dining spot in Newport News. Always have a great experience with wait staff. I love their appetizers. The Bang Bang Shrimp never disappoints and is a crowd favorite. I really like their calamari particularly for their sauce that goes with it! For entrees, Lily's Chicken is also a crowd favorite and for good reason. If you like goat cheese, you are going to love this dish. Also recommend their assortment of different fish with a variety of sauces. Try them out!

Brad F was a great server! He filled up my husbands water at least 4 times through our meal and this is a problem that we typically have while dining out.. Food is great and the new remodel really modernized the space and looks great. Bang bang shrimp all day.

Don’t want to cook but you want a fine dining experience hands down Bonefish grill in Newport News is one of our favorite place to do a quite date night or dinner with the family. Best part are is the popular female bartender she make sure your cocktail is made with perfection the customer service is excellent the team strive for excellences looking to dine in a cozy atmosphere this place is for you they smoke old fashion and pomegranate martini is out of this world we always try the fish of the day literally love every plate so if you looking for affordable meal this place to be they have something for all ages. Definitely recommend 10|10

My best friend and I went to Bonefish Grill for lunch today. Our server, Kesia was a most pleasant, friendly, and all around marvelous person. She seemed to really enjoy being there and made me happy just being around her. A totally great experience.

We had a wonderful experience. We celebrated our eighth wedding anniversary. There was no special attention to the celebration. The first thing we did when being seated and ordering drinks was place the order for crab covered French fries with spicy aioli. It was nearly 25 minutes before they arrived after ordering. The fries were seasoned and served fresh and hot. The carb meat was delicious. Overall, the appetizer was spicy, but very enjoyed. My husband enjoyed the Mahi Mahi with grilled shrimp, mashed potatoes, street corn casserole (upcharge) tartar and lemon sauce. The Mahi Mahi was dry but was seasoned and hot. I believe the meal was "held" under the heat lamp or somewhere warm while we enjoyed our appetizer that arrived very late. I had the mango salmon served with Caesar salad (upcharge) and "Kung pao" brussel sprouts (upcharge). The Caesar salad didn't seem to have fresh parmesan, which is usually my favorite part of the salad, aside from an excellent homemade dressing - which I don't believe it was. It was good, just not great. And I LOVE salad. The brussel sprouts would not have been tasty without the Kung pao sauce. The peanuts and sauce were good, but the brussel sprouts were not tasty without it. The salmon was served atop a thinly sliced grilled orange, which I enjoyed. The service was great aside from the long wait for the appetizer. Our server was the bartender. We had a blueberry lemon drop martini and a bourbon with lemon pepper and fresh mint. The drinks were amazing. Obviously, there was alcohol but the focus wasn't on that. The drinks were crafted and well-balanced. For dessert, we had the browine with raspberry sauce and ice cream and homemade whipped cream. It wasn't anything spectacular but we ate every bite and couldn't stop! We would recommend the restaurant for a date night or a friendly gathering.

Loved every bit of this experience, the food was great, our waitress was amazing, the drink was delicious and overall enjoyed it. The fish and chips delicious, the Mac and cheese great . I mean everything we had was just delicious. We Celebrated our 3 years anniversary here and so glad we did.

The portions of food were amazing for the price.
We got the tempura tuna and it was absolutely delicious! Not to mention they serve bread with the pesto olive oil mix, which is delicious as well.
Our server Stephanie was super nice and pleasurable and made sure we were taken care of.

I would go back, and next time go for happy hour, which I heard is great!

Went for the first-time last night and was very impressed. It has a nice "calm" ambience, not loud like some other area restaurants. A group of 4 adults chose entrees from all over the menu (burgers, steaks, seafood) & we all enjoyed our meals. The service was excellent, and we will return.

My wife suggested this place. I wasn't really sure, but I was very hungry, so I agreed.
It was the right choice.
Our server, Melissa, was fantastic. She knew the menu and had no difficulty making a suggestion when I was at an impasse.
My 1/2 # burger was excellent, and the fries were super (crispy!).
My wife's steak and green beans were also cooked to perfection!
The bread with olive oil was wonderful, too.
We'll be back!

This was my 1st time at Bonefish, and I can't wait to go back. The atmosphere was so nice. Just such a pleasant dining experience. The bread & dip before the meal was so tasty. Then everything else we ate was so good. I'm a sauce lover, so it was so awesome to have 3 delicious sauces with my fish.

But this was a no brainer 5 star experience.......so good.

The food here is delicious. I’ve been coming to this location for years and it never disappoints. Good environment, wait staff is awesome and attentive. Have appetizers or enjoy the warm bread. I highly recommended

Bonefish grill has been around for a while so I was hesitant to come here because I felt it might be similar to other American chain diners, but I was pleasantly proven wrong! The service was nearly impeccable, with a small snafu with one of my companions meals, but otherwise they were very attentive and courteous. The food was very tasty as well. I had the sirloin rare and it was well cooked. The sides and salads were well seasoned.

First, I want to say thank you to Vonta (I hope I spelled it right 😬) for his GREAT service. I started off with the Coral Reef Punch for my drink. If you like sweet drinks, this is definitely for you. It tasted amazing! Then we got the BFG Fries! The fries were nice and crisp, the seasoning was wonderful, lump crab topped nicely, and the BANG BANG sauce is the best sauce I’ve had in awhile. For the entrées, I got the Cod Imperial, and my husband got the Fish & Chips. Both meals were cooked to perfection and were delicious! And you know we had to end with dessert. The Macadamia Nut Brownie was better than I expected. It’s not your typical brownie (because it’s flourless), but it still tasted like one that felt as light and soft as a cloud. The Cranberry White Chocolate Cookies came out nice and warm, and tastes just like the ones we used to get in high school (which were always sold out because they were so good!). We enjoyed our meal, service, environment, just about everything. Would definitely recommend going here for a nice date/dinner. 😄

Always completely satisfied when I eat here at Bonefish Grill. I'm a fish lover and they always have a great selection. This visit was for takeout. I got the Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout. It nearly took up the whole plate. It was plump, tender, delicious and zero bones. The meat lovers all got the Filet Mignon cooked medium, with not a single complaint. They ate every bite! I got their new Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts instead of the vege of the day. They were the best I've ever had! The only comment from the rest, was that they would prefer a sauteed spinach over their menu regular creamed spinach.

It was very busy but outstanding meal, service and hostess.

Wonderful place, excellent service and food! I visited first time in a group of 4 people and all dishes were so great. David was our server, he did an awesome job. Will come back soon 🤩

First time coming to a Bonefish grill and man was it a great experience, as we are ordering with our waiter multiple people are already bringing our drink orders and bread for the table, everybody was fast and efficient, food was great with amazing service…..I will definitely be back and highly recommend.!!!!

Always a great experience here. Customer service is top notch. The servers always take a moment to get to know you. It's not just food, it's ambiance, and the way they treat everyone. Last night was no exception. An unusually busy night as it was college graduation parties and mother's day weekend, they were a little backed up in the kitchen, but we were never without drinks, and always updated on the status of our orders. Our waiter William, was amazing (he's taken care of us before) took the time to teach our little lady how to use chopsticks. They never hover over you, but you are not neglected here. And the food always comes out perfectly cooked and the right temperature. Best service around.
