Old 33 Beer & Burger Grill, Inc.

Was looking for a McDonald's after spending 10 hours in Shenandoah national park ( all their eateries were jam packed). As we reached this quaint little town Elkton, my husband saw this place and said let's try that. I went through the reviews quickly and decided to get in.
Glad we did that. The best burgers we had in a while. We ordered Hawaiian burger and chicken burger and boneless wings as appetizer. The curly fries as side were awesome!!
All were so good.
Few things that I want to mention: the beer came pretty late, waiting for a glass of beer for 20 minutes, seemed long whereas not many people were at the bar or dining at 4 pm.
The coffee came lukewarm and the refill took forever.
The restroom was very clean.

What a wonderful tasty dinner I had tonight. It was amazing, in my opinion. I decided to get the Brisket Burger tonight, and I'm glad I did as my first burger from there. The meal had plenty to choose from, but the different types of burgers make it hard to choose which one to get. They also have a make you're own burger too. Definitely a place to stop in at if you're in the area.

We usually order food to go and drive over the mountain to pick up. It’s a bit of a drive, but the best burger you can find between Harrisonburg and Charlottesville.

Even with a 20-30 minute drive back, the burger and sides is always still warm and delicious. You can’t get that with takeout around here!

It’s also a great spot to dine in, the staff is friendly and the small town atmosphere is cozy. The menu is fun, the food tastes great and the service is good. What more could you want?

This is my first time here as I was passing through. The burger was delicious and is fresh meat not frozen. When I read the description of my Chorizo burger I saw that it said avocado. Mostly, when your at a restaurant you get guacamole here I got the real deal avocado. I enjoyed everything I got here. In the other picture my appetizer was fried pickles. I would definitely come back.

This was definitely one of the better meals I had in the area. The Caesar salad with shrimp was a great value. The fish and chips was good. The fried mushrooms were a favorite with my group. The servers were all really friendly and attentive. I usually don’t order milkshakes but decided to give it a try since I was at a burger joint. The Nutella milkshake was outstanding. Definitely worth stopping in. There’s a lot on the menu to choose from and the staff are really friendly.

Drove an hour to try this place and we were not disappointed. Everything tasted fresh especially the Cesar salad (added shrimp). Some of the best onion rings I’ve had in awhile.

My husband liked the jalepenos. Mixed drinks were right on point and the highlight of my meal was the sweet potato cheesecake. Y’all!!! This was something to write home about.

Kids got burgers and there were no complaints from them at all.

We will be back when we are in the area to try more menu items.

The burgers, fries, and onion rings were excellent. The portions were large, and everything was well prepared. Also, the service was very good. Finally, the prices are reasonable considering how much food has increased during these inflationary times. Update: We went back last night, and the burgers are still excellent. The onion rings and dipping sauce are favorites with my wife and son. The service was also very good.

Great place to get a hamburger and fries. I’m not a local in this area and I found this restaurant using a search on GM. Restaurant has a family dining area and a small bar area with bar seating and pub tables. They advertise craft burgers. And that’s what it is. Menu has a lot of specialty burgers with different toppings to choose from. Me personally, I like to keep my burger simple and I chose the build your own option. I visited on Sunday afternoon. It was busy but no line at the door. Wait staff was on point. Definitely would recommend this place. Access is easy. It’s in Elkton Virginia just off the exit of 33. Not hard to get to.

Excellent burgers at great prices! We were looking for just some simple burgers after a hike and this place knocked it out of the park - it was exactly what we were looking for. They had so many varieties of burgers and the pretzel we got was A+. Also solid beer selection. Would definitely go back if we’re in the area.

I got the Rodeo Burger and let me tell you, it was the best burger I’ve EVER had. The onion straws and barbecue sauce inside were immaculate. The flavors just… Speechless! You gotta try it out! And then the sweet potato fries were just as good… not to mention the cinnamon butter sauce. 🥲 Look forward to coming back.

OH I ordered it as Take Out and it was done in 20 minutes or so, customer service itself was 5 Stars!

Out of this world. We are burger critics and these were some of the best burgers we've had our whole lives. Their signature sauce was very tasty. Large potion of fries and onion rings served with each burger. You even get to pick what roll you want your burger served on. The Tex Mex burger and the Route 33 burger were the two we got and both were 10/10. The staff was friendly as well and the food was served rather quickly. I definitely recommended!

I got the Hawaiian Burger. It has Pepper Jack cheese, Jalapeno peppers, grilled pineapple, and others. I ate around 2:40, so it came in hot. The grease rolled down my arms. It was so good! I ordered a raspberry tart to go that was warm and looks homemade. I will have it for breakfast. The place looks like a dive, bit is the good kind. The service was excellent.

Cheyenne was our server and she was FANTASTIC. We had a party of 9 and she kept our glasses full and was very personable!
The burgers were PHENOMENAL, I had the Route 33 (had a fried egg on it) and it was SO GOOD. This place is a hidden gem. It’s the best burger spot in the mountains.
How is it even possible that the garbage McDonalds is even staying open next door.

Came in on a Sunday night and had the Hawaiian burger. It was DELICIOUS and a great value for the price. Soooo we came back again tonight (Monday)for the half price wings. The wings were phenomenal as well and you can’t beat that price! The staff are all super sweet and friendly. Next time I’m in Elkton - I will be back!! Don’t miss this place :). Also- milkshakes!

Food was amazing. Sweet potato fries were really good. My onion rings were also really good. Our waitress was a little slow on getting us our drinks. And not sure why. There were only a total of 3 tables that were occupied at the time.

We love this restaurant...the hamburgers are outstanding! The waitress was friendly with fairly quick service. Nice atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for what you get. We will definitely be going back! Recommend it to anyone looking for a great burger.

Happened upon this place while on a day trip and it did not disappoint at all! Party of 4 and we all had something different. The waitress was friendly, service was fast, and food was great. We found everything to be flavorful, good portions, and reasonably priced. There are also lots of drink options but we didn't try any. We were too full to try dessert but those sounded yummy, too.

Great place to get a burger. My friends and I go here every year on our winter trip. Prices are a little high but where isn't anymore? The food and service was excellent. Only slight downside is it's a little tight on the inside. We will be returning next year!

We love this place! The food is always fresh and flavorful. I especially like the vegan burger. It's huge, so I make 2 meals out of it! The mac n cheese, sweet potato fries and cheesecake do not disappoint either!

Food and service were 10/10. We went for lunch on a Sunday, the restaurant was mostly full but we were seated right away. Great selection of curated burgers and build your own creations. Not many healthy options if that’s what you’re looking for. Even though it was busy, our food was out fairly quickly all hot and fresh. Curly fries were 🔥. This place was great and I would eat here again.
