Brugh's Mill Country Store

Place is clean, even the restroom. I had an issue with the employee checking me out and just happened to meet the sweet businesswoman who is the owner of the store while getting coffee. I explained my issue and she resolved it on the spot like a professional. The lady with the attitude seemed to be in pain. I asked her if she was ok and apparently she thought I was being sarcastic and snapped at me. This is a convenient place at 156 exit on i81 with good food. Not my first stop here, and I will stop more often because the owner was responsive to my complaint. There is easy and convenient tractor trailer parking but not for overnight.

Customer service at this store is outstanding! My cell phone fell out of my car when I stopped for gas while on a trip. I drove off without it and didn’t realize the phone was missing until 100 miles later. I called and spoke with the store owner, who kindly offered to mail it back to me. He went out of his way to box it up and drop it in the mail that afternoon. I am very impressed!

Great little store and gas station with hot and cold food freshly prepared. There were some sandwiches already made but they told us other sandwiches were available and made us a fresh chicken salad sandwich, which was just right for lunch on the road. There are tables to dine inside. Local craft products and wine for sale.

Stop and get fuel in my travels. This is a wonderful hometown country store. They make homemade biscuits another delicious homemade foods as well as deviled eggs! The staff is friendly, and they make you feel right at home. Amazing stop right off interstate 81 definitely worth stopping in on a long road trip!

One of my favorite stops along I-81. Stop and enjoy clean bathrooms, hot food, snacks, or simply take a breath while sitting under the covered porch. Staff are friendly and helpful. Electrify America charging station on premises works well without issues.

Easy on and off from the highway, which makes Brugh's a good place to stop. Has all the charm of a true country store with a modern convenience store. Modern outside with gas, diesel, kerosene and electric pumps to fill or charge up. Home cooked foods and premade sandwichs to grab. We typically stop on our way home from family visits and grab drinks and a bite. They have a few inside tables that I always see locals sitting, chatting or reading the paper. They also have hand dipped ice cream, slushy machines and coffee bar. There is also a little country gift area with all kinds of nik-knacks and even a few antique items.

Friendly, spacious, uncrowded, old-fashioned store and gas station. A great place to stop for a break. Has a large front porch.

They have tasty food for on the go and its always clean and nice inside.

Nice little shop. Friendly staff. Take your time, Slow down a little and have a cold pop.

Great place to stop and charge the car. Good is fantastic, especially the cobbler.

Very cute country store in Botetourt County, just off Interstate 81. Sure, you'll pay "interstate prices," but there's good food (try the biscuits!), nice folks and a fantastic selection! If you're travelling, there are lots of gift choices, and you can sit and eat if you'd like. Access and parking are easy, getting back on the Interstate is a snap.

Easy off and on to I-81 with a good pet rest area, a cute shop, gasoline and food.

very friendly, helpful, took care of us as we just came from the sunflower festival, needed some nourishment and water. wonderful store has all kinds of knick knacks in gifts or souvenirs. can eat out on the huge outside porch. Great place!

Been stopping here for 20 years and always got great service. Scrambled eggs, fried potatoes and cooked apples were excellent this morning. A must stop if you are traveling I-81, mile marker 156.

This was the cutest little stop. I originally stopped because I needed a break from driving, they had a nice covered porch area for sitting, good homemade food in the warmers and cold drinks. I hung out for a bit because it was really nice and comfortable.

Lady's were very friendly, patient, and helpful. We got gas and had trouble with our car starting after the fill. We had checked our engine and was short a quart of oil. They offered a paper funnel for the fill. They also said we were welcome to take our time as our car wouldnt start stuck at the pump. Lots of yummy food ice cream and pleasant service!

Great place to stop off on a long drive. Excellent selection of foods and beverages. Staff is very friendly. Store is well kept and very clean. I really enjoyed my stop here

One of the nicest stores I've been in, in botetourt county. The employees are all very nice, and the food is really good. Incredibly clean, you almost forget that it's a gas station. I've eaten 3 meals there in a day, many times. They sell glass bottle Coke! Love it

Great place for food and Exxon fuel. Hunt Brothers Pizza, homemade sandwiches, wraps, fried chicken, vegetables, cobbler, etc. Nice general country store, of course with all the items you'd expect to find at a convenience store, only nicer! Tables inside and outside, your choice. Also a large selection of crafts and personal items for giving or keeping! Great stop along the way, or as a destination.
