Holiday Inn Express & Suites Petersburg/Dinwiddie, an IHG Hotel

"I had a pretty good experience at the Petersburg VA Holiday Inn Express. We stayed on the 3rd floor, and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was hot and ready on time, which was a plus. The check-in process was seamless, and they even acknowledged our status. I would recommend this hotel for your stay!"

I stopped in while driving north to NY, arrived very late, probably about 130am. The woman behind the desk was extremely nice and accommodating. Rooms were perfectly fine and the beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay again if I find myself in the same area again and needing a room for the night.

Honestly, I was surprised how well kept and nice this place was. The service from the front desk was super nice and helpful as well. The location is great for anything you might need for food or whatever as well. Would highly suggest a stay here if you’re in the area. Fair price too!

I had to travel from TN for a funeral and after an exhausting search I landed here and I couldn't be any happier with my choice. Every morning I was greeted by the desk and housekeeping and every night was sent to bed with wishes for a good sleep. I will most definitely stay here if I ever need a room around here again! I honestly don't understand why this is considered a "2-Star Hotel" because they are doing great......

My ONLY negative feedback would be the green pool. Glad I didn't have the chance to take a dip because I honestly wouldn't let my dog play in it.

Directly next door to a waffle house if you don't want the free breakfast. The room was very clean, they offer free wifi & my room had a mini fridge, microwave & keurig machine. I would definitely stay again see that review as well

The service was so professional kind, and had great smiles!! The room was IMMACULATE ♡
It was quite literally the best sleep we have had since being out in the road (we are otr hs truck drivers). The bed & pillows were so comfy & snug. Breakfast was good, it had a good selection. THEY HAVE TRUCK PARKING!!! ♡♡

If I had to say anything that could potentially be not so good MINOR MINOR ISSUES.. the juice at breakfast was pure concentrate & you had to mix a bottle of water to dilute it, our shower didn't have good dealing around the sliding glass door so it leaked all out on to the floor, & the bathroom door opened into the glass shower door- making it a tad awkward getting in/out of the shower (if you wanted to leave the bathroom door open, which we do).
NONE of the MINOR issues would keep us from recommending or returning! LOVE THIS PLACE & WILL MAKE SURE the other drivers with our company know about it!!

A very bright place in a town where the roads are awful and in certain areas look impoverished.

Newly renovated as of June 2021 (my visit) and everything inside is brand new and super clean! The interior is trendy, great design, the room is spacious, the bathroom was top notch... this is the first time I see a 60-inch TV in a hotel. Wow! The breakfast is real food, not prepackaged that you take on the go. I would recommend. Probably the fact that is a bit remote from Richmond (30 min) is a problem, but it is well worth if you are getting something this clean, quiet and tasty.

Our stay was wonderful! The room was very modern and clean, the staff was nice and professional. The breakfast was really good...fresh and hot. We will definitely stay there again.

I'm an IHG Platinum Elite Member and have stayed at many HIE properties. This property by far exceeded my expectations. I was skeptical at first because of all my prior visits at other properties. I checked in at 1am on 5/31/21 and was able to checkin without any issues. The front desk staff was very friendly. I stayed in a king suite with a pullout sofa and mini fridge. The room looked like it was recently renovated. The room and overall common areas were exceptionally clean. Breakfast was pretty good for a HIE. The morning desk manager was taking care of the breakfast area and helping guests checkout. She was very friendly. Easy access off I-85, great night sleep. I'll visit again in the future.

Loved the atmosphere and the room I’ve stayed at many hotels work wise and pleasure. This hotel is a 10 plus… So glad I chose this one.

Well I didn't exactly stay... Due to a schedule issue from a third party company I work for that books rooms, I didn't actually have one since the date changed. The front desk person was very professional and helpful to help me out.

Comfortable the front desk workers were great and very helpful! The cooks name is Amber and her breakfast was delicious and yummy! So good she deserves a raise and a tip! And the pool was wonderful. It was 94 degrees so I really needed it

Me and my family needed a place to stay while they were working on our apartments and they got us in last minute. Nice and friendly staff. Clean rooms and warm breakfast

This was a very nice hotel mainly due to its employees. Each and every one was sincerely hospitable, especially the woman at the front desk at night. When one of our people had to change rooms she helped to transfer their belongings herself. Went out if her way to accommodate everyone. Every hotel can take a lesson from her. Thank you Madame.

Everyone was so nice ! Rooms were very clean!! Only thing our room 209 didn’t have any water pressure!! But everything else was great

A pretty nice establishment with large, clean rooms. Breakfast was good and always well stocked. Karen was amazing at check-in! She took great care of me and ensured that I was satisfied with the room.

The room was so spacious and very clean. I thought the bed was quite comfortable and the hotel was relatively quiet. They put on a lovely, welcoming breakfast!

During my 50+ days staying here has been nothing but excellence.  Everytime I leave the hotel and come back into the hotel I am always greeted by the worker behind the desk. They seem very prideful in their jobs and it shows by the way they handle situations. I didnt have reservations to this hotel but I let them know my problem and instead of turning me away they made it work for me and also upgraded my room. Breakfast every morning was ok but the best thing was that they left the fruits and yogurt out the whole day. 80 percent of the time I wasn't able to eat the breakfast so being able to grab and go was nice. Room service was everyday and they were always super nice to talk to. I sadly wasn't able to get into the pool because it was closed. If you are going to work on FT Lee then this hotel is 12 mins away.
