Holiday Inn Express & Suites Alexandria - Fort Belvoir, an IHG Hotel

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient and excellent service.

This is a HIE property, but what really sets it apart is the service from the staff. Front desk, housekeeping, and especially Ms. Sandra who runs the kitchen all did their best to make our stay pleasant.

I want to, especially recognize Ms Sandra, who went out of her way to accommodate me by helping to store some frozen items that needed to stay frozen while we were at the hotel.

I’m very grateful for her going above and beyond and she did this without knowing my loyalty status or anything else. Just trying to provide great service. Well done and thank you!

Owner warning you must read this. The following team is the culprit of an epic stay. From the moment we entered in contact with the front desk staff to the moment we went to the room which was very clean. smelled so good. The breakfast area staff is awesome. We were treated so well that I wanted to leave you a public review. If you are going to visit the White House, go a little further and stay here. Breakfast and parking are included and the price is very good. Save money staying here. Staff rock. Kudos for the hiring manager for this location. I can't say enough. Hotel staff was astounding...Daisy you are a great manager. Thank you for handling our room arrangements during our weekly trips from Richmond. Debra what can I say other than. Your upbeat angelic personality made morning breakfast a sweet treasure! Rooms extremely well kept and cleaned. Beds amazingly comfortable. Will be our go to hotel if we need in the future!

We have visited this hotel for our annual business meeting. There is a variety of excellent food options that are within walking distance. Staff is helpful and friendly. Morning breakfast is one of the better continental places I have dined at. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this hotel. The location, and price make it a hidden gem for this small area on the Chesapeake Bay.

The room was very clean , and the lobby was decorated so beautiful for Christmas. The staff was AMAZING. The front desk clerk Matt was very kind and assisted us with finding some good restaurants. Very nice gentleman. I will definitely be coming back again . Thanks so much Matt for all your help. This gentleman definitely deserves a raise !

To the man who kept insisting on helping the lady pushing a walker this morning; middle finger.

WHAT HAPPENED:
I’m sitting in the breakfast area of my hotel sipping on some delicious hot tea.
The place is bustling with folks sitting and in line grabbing their hot food, crabs, juice, fruit, and coffee.
In walks a lady pushing a walker slowly and intently. She attempts to grab a paper plate and is obviously struggling.
A man approaches her and asks if he can help. This fella is talking really loud. He’s talking as if he’s performing.
I looked up as did most folks in the dining area when the loud talking joker said, “Do you want me to help you take your food to your room?”

The lady responded, “I’m 82. I’m not helpless.” She finally convinced him that she would move slow and would get what she needed. She delivered her message in a kind and gentle manner.
I thought how she must have had to finesse so many men with weak egos over her lifetime.
Once the fella left the dining room, I heard the seasoned lady call for the hotel’s dining attendant.
She asked if she could help her prepare two cups of hot coffee.
The nice hotel employee, Sandra was exceptional.

Came here before doing some business in DC. Room was huge and clean. Made good use of the soaking tub in the livingroom.
Check in was a breeze and the gentleman who checked me in was an absolute delight.
Breakfast was plentiful the next morning.
If I ever needed to come to the area again. I'll be staying here.

The staff was nice and accommodating. The food was one of the better ones we had. The room was clean and no issues. For the price, it's good value. We enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel for an overnight stop! The rooms are updated, clean and our king room was way bigger than expected-tons of room for our son’s crib. Which by the way was a mini crib not a pack and play which is a huge perk at this hotel. The staff was great and breakfast was good.
I liked the location, easy off the highway and also easy to run into Alexandria from for a morning workout before we got back on the road. We would stay again!

I've been staying at Holiday Inn Express Alexandria/Fort Belvoir quite a bit over the past few months because of work. Each time I'm here, everyone is very kind and welcoming.
The rooms are good, beds are comfy, location is convenient if you have to get to National Harbor or Old Town Alexandria. The area immediately surrounding the hotel is a little questionable, but I haven't come across any issues.
The stellar part of my stay though is by far, Ms. Debra! She runs the breakfast buffet and takes great pride in ensuring that the guest all have a great start to their day. She is so upbeat and happy and makes sure that everyone has what they want/need. She is a true gem and I hope that IHG recognizes her efforts in making guests feel welcomed and sending guests off with a full, happy belly!! Thanks Ms. Debra!!

The beds were so amazing! I wonder what type/brand beds they were as I forgot to check that out.. The room we got was also so spacious that we were able to fit in all our luggage during our stay and still had enough room space to comfortably walk around! The breakfast was top quality with variety of fresh food! Finally, the best part was that it included free parking! Loved my stay! Thank you HIE

This was our final stay during a 9 night trip to the Northeast. The property was clean and the rooms were spacious. By far our favorite at a really low price point. Our favorite thing about this property is interacting with Ms. Debra@ breakfast. She could of been a IHG brand ambassador . Would recommend to anyone to staying here when visiting D.C.

The manger is kind that reflects through the staff. My sister is in ICU fighting for her life and went to Oscar for help as I have no idea how long I will be hear I live 800 miles away. It didn't even jolt him. He just took over like a big brother, I couldn't thank him enough for his compassion and generosity.
Daisy at front desk greeted me with a beautiful smile and carried my bag to my room because my hands are deformed, refusing a tip. I didn't ask, she offered, she is a sweetheart and a great asset to that hotel. So many other frontdask heros Matt and another young lady with shorter curly brown and beautiful smile and way about her. Helped make sure a box, my husband sent with insulin pump supplies be safe till I got back from the hospital.
Cleaness hotel I have ever been in.
The decor is a nice blue and modern.

This is my fifth time staying here for work. It's clean, safe, conveniently located with a breakfast I truly enioy. The staff are kind, but none are kinder than Miss Debra. She oversees breakfast on weekdays and she is just a DELIGHT! I always feel right at home when I see her, like I'm part of the family. She has big Auntie energy. She makes this hotel special. I wouldn't feel so strongly about coming back to this specific place over and over if it wasn't for her. ♡

We got the King bed room with the jacuzzi. We’re local and got the room solely because we wanted to enjoy the bath and it didn’t disappoint, It’s very spacious. Bed is comfy as well as no issues with ac/heating unit. Staff is very friendly especially the lady hosting the breakfast buffet. Breakfast buffet is one of the better ones I’ve seen in a hotel with multiple different options to fit everyone including a pancake maker machine that you just hit a button and pops out fresh ones.

We stayed for a few nights and it was perfect. The location was very close to Old Town and close to DC too. Miss Debra in the breakfast area runs a tight ship. She was very personal and went overboard to make sure we had great breakfasts each day. I would recommend this hotel for sure. Great experience for us.

The continental breakfast is fantastic. Debra is very efficient and provides excellent customer service, making sure all of the food items are well stocked. She’s very accommodating and answers your questions. Lots of options- you really don’t need to go anywhere for breakfast, the hotel breakfast has everything! Definitely recommend!
